/STD/ General - Star Trek Discovery

Endless Episode Speculation Edition
Previous Thread:
New Episode Tonight 6:30 PM PT
Title: The Butcher's Knife Cares Not for the Lamb's Cry

US Viewing: CBS All Access
Outside US: Netflix, Canada there is 2 stations airing the show.

stream can be found at brettygood which did air past episodes of Discovery

STD

Is it on netflix at the same time as in the US?

I think STD is uniting the timelines not creating a 3rd timeline as many are theorizing.

My reasoning is that its about Section 31 which means possibly seeing other ships and crews in season 2 such as Voyager which would make sense.

>Is it on netflix at the same time as in the US?
No it is not, but it is on CBS all access a PPV service with minimal commercial interruption.

trying find a stream now for tonights episode but might need to wait until over if their re encoding it to stream, will post!

who thinks there's a 3rd timeline?
Anyway... I don't wanna see anything about voyager anymore

It's fucking DIS you Orshill

>Anyway... I don't wanna see anything about voyager anymore
the ships designation is NCC-1031

Its spelled out for us section 31, your right though we dont know what they will do with it but their clearly going somewhere. Last ep I spotted a black badge which I think might be where their going.

Finally we can talk about THE SHOW

go to your fake thread and argue about the name, notice were discussing the show here.

Now kindly embrace change and stop fighting it, change is natural and its a good thing.

When does BrettyGood start streaming the episodes? 8:30 EST?

/THESHOW/

Back when the trailer first dropped I remember arguing against some user for an entire thread about whether or not section 31 would show up STD, so I'm glad to see that it very well might be true. That user was convinced that the chronology made was impossible but I never ruled it out due to ENT.

mah nigga!!!!

Im not watching the new ep yet at least live, but I think as far as past eps go Trekyards does the best analysis of STD eps to really cover the lore and how its canon contrary to what people are thinking because we dont know yet were only a couple episodes in.

i think after their re-encoded right? staying tuned so you dont have too. will post when it starts.

Kind of funny their showing TNG fan made skits off youtube which are good for killing time until the new ep starts.

I hope that's the case. The only bad thing about it is that this show will be an introduction to star trek for many people I know. So they'll see a darker side of the federation right off the bat. But as a star trek fan I would be pleased in see the section 31 explored (if done properly)

maybe both were right? Perhaps the chronology doesnt work BUT it works if section 31 is involved either deliberate or by accident.

Or possibly will we get easter eggs showing this as the formation of Section 31 with a few hints per STD episode and a cliff hanger involving another Trek series crew bringing it all together?

>STD

How many STDs would it take to get infected?

Reminder i will only ever bump the /std/ thread as that's the only non-shill thread on this board about discovery

STD (Formerly DIS)

hmmmm well what do you think of how TNG handled the federation higher brass? They did see often corrupt and dark compared but we got a few glimpses of that so maybe STD is revealing what we learned slowly that I didnt even pick up on until years later.

It's fucking DSC, fuck off.

With the JJ cancer?

I think you're born with shit taste.

same thing here user, the other thread is full of orshills derailing and whinging about the name not the show or anything well thought out which proves they need to stay in their simple minded orville containment threads.

>>

We're in here

It's DIS

Section 31 has yet to be brought to justice, not in books, or in the shows much. It would make sense that if they existed before it would be brought to light in this series now at their formation.

>DS9 already exists
>It's DSC!!

Quick thought experiment!

Create an entertaining and unique Holodeck episode! Go!

So one, two, STDs? The pilot was fairly weak, so until then till touch down brings round to get it fine. Im a rocket man.

I don't want to talk to DIS posters to be honest. Maybe this just how its going to shake out. There will just have to be two threads.

fake and gay

stop making threads CBS shill, we can spot you a mile away and your not fooling anyone with your forced attempt at fitting in or your an orshill either way fuck off!

if you pay me, i'll post in the cbs thread

Why just Holodeck?

Let's create an entertaining and unique Star Trek show.

given the tech that exists in the STD universe it wouldnt be full color right?

What would you think of a combat training sequence involving a reveal, as in what if the holodeck broke out of its confines thus leading to the current trek timeline ending with TNG?

How many STDs does it take to get paid? Free money for infections sounds like a good idea

michael shows saru what slave ships were like

yea its called STD and were waiting for the stream link now.

>DIS posters relegated to their own containment thread
Im ok with this

Anways Im on board with this show but I do hope they make the main character more interesting.

"Commander, tell me about your sexual organs."

But isn't it depressing to watch a ship with a section 31 mission what will never be brought to justice? We know that whatever happens on that ship won't affect the outcome of what we already watched... So I don't know... It seems interesting, but kinda hopeless at the same time?

I feel the same about the Deus Ex games. They can't go past certain events because they're prequels, so the main character is faded to fail in his mission.

>Unique
>Holodeck

You mean you want the ship to be hijacked the the holographic representation of the headless horseman right?

This is why prequels are shitty in general

I said entertaining and unique.

DIS

Saru wouldn't allow that. He has no time for Michael's shit

Remember to report thread spammers like this. We only need one /STD/ - not a board full of them, thank you.

See I thought we saw the inception of section 31 back during Enterprise, or am I mistaken?

All right so why did OP create this thread when the previous one was at 220 posts?

Saru is Number One husbando!!!!!

Lorca is already based. He'll bring the mutineer around.

>This is why prequels are shitty in general
normally I agree but i think their taking the show in the right direction outside both timelines but maybe bringing both of them together which I wouldnt have a problem with at all.

It's fucking STD, DSC. Fuck off Orshill

YESSS
I can't wait to see more of him (and the captain too)

>first two episodes
>Klingons are KANGZ
>third episode
>context is KANG

Place your bets on todays KANGZ.

>CBS shill threads

Like this one? It literally tells you to subscribe to CBS all access

A heartbroken Ensign mourns the death of his Redshirt wife.

He becomes isolated in his grief, and retreats to the Holodeck for escape.

There, he recreates his wife using a recent personality profile.

He's happier than he's felt in months. But instead of indulging him, she decides to help him move on by helping him find a new woman.

Episode ends with him leaving the holodeck, deleting her program and heading to Ten Forward to his first date.

Barclay develops a Holoprogram which places a hologram around you to make you look like another crewmember. Hilarity ensues when the ship is boarded and the invaders catch O'Brien pretending to be Picard.

>See I thought we saw the inception of section 31 back during Enterprise, or am I mistaken?
I need to go back and rewatch, Im not sure if that was the actual catalyst for its creation or if that was even touched upon. It could be that its formation was lost being so secret to the sands of time which would leave open room to explore their creation more?

Im a big Section 31 fan, i know alot of people didnt like that arc but I hope that is because they wanted more and didnt get enough.

Report this one too then.

Lorca? I dont think so mate! hes evil pure evil!

Did Deanna get Barclay to help her hack the program?

Everyone has time for her shit. She's a Mary Sue.

>Like this one? It literally tells you to subscribe to CBS all access
OP here, I put that in the OP because that is how US viewers must watch the show, Im in no way promoting it. I also mentioned Netflix for outside viewers.

Keep in mind the first episode was aired on TV so many fans want to know where to watch it since their not on tv.

CBS said it was DIS. You're the Orshill you fucking retard.

>Saru, this is what was known as the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade. Known today as the 7th Shoah of the World, it was one of the worst tragedy in human history and must never be forgotten.

>Michael, my people are literally food.

>Black lives matter! Black lives matter! No justice, no peace!!

you have your own thread now..

I think the poster means on STD which clearly has the tech for holographic visuals so doesnt rule out the possibility of a holodeck existing since many of the mechanisms of the ship exceed what many thought was possible technologically in the Trekverse.

>CBS said it was DIS. You're the Orshill you fucking retard.
CBS said it was DSC in the same press release that turned Voyager from VOY to VGR

>Lorca will never wreck you

Why live

Look... Saru is pure and a great officer.

But there's nothing wrong in seeing the other side of the spectrum. The captain seems interesting (if he's not a mustache twirling villain, that is).

DIS

You were better off just typing the letters yourself in MS paint. The top text looks retarded.

>She's a Mary Sue.
I would disagree, she ended up in prison and a mary sue would never end up on the bad end of things. Clearly Michael is showing character growth as we follow her journey. Did you see the prison ship? Im still trying to figure that out.

>other DIS and DISCO threads shrivel and die after being born prematurely
>STD threads thrive
>any DIS thread is bombed and derailed until it's called STD

The *clap* people *clap* have *clap* spoken!

Poor Saru. Having to deal with the nonsense Michael brings onboard.

do you always rely on corporations to tell you what to think? That is the problem with society today people dont think for themselves which is why Orville is popular being lowbrow for brainlets. While STD is for actual fans and intellectuals while you argue about a silly name which proves your as much an orshill as your chinese knock off show.

It's DSC. The ship is LITERALLY NAMED THIS WAY.

100

EPISODE IS LIVE

BRETTY GOOD

ENJOY STD!!!

Did we actually get to see a prison ship? We only saw the shuttle right?

And did the discovery pick up the pilot? She wouldn't be dead, but they don't show her again.

>I also mentioned Netflix for outside viewers.

CBS gets more money if it's popular on Netflix you fucking shill

VGR sounds more like a short name for Viagra.

CBS is just out of touch because its the fans who always named the shows not them.

>While STD is for actual fans and intellectuals

Why are there 5 Discovery threads up and not a single Star Trek General?

where is the strweam!?!?>!

My favorite Star Trek series is NCC1701-D.

Seriously, man. You're one of the enlightened. The best way to stop these people is to just use DSC without arguing. That only derails the thread

maybe that is where their going the juxtaposition of the characters on different ends of the same spectrum?

Saru = lawful good
Lorca == lawful evil

brettygood dot com

Let's be real, this show is like Doctor Who: its writing is shit, but people still tune in because of the hot cast.

anyone have a link to DL?

...

Everyone loves TNG.

>Did we actually get to see a prison ship? We only saw the shuttle right?
good point, I meant the shuttle but your right we never saw where it was going which is kind of a shame. Not that it matters within the context of the story, its seems alot is happening so fast due to how much work their putting into the writing.

Ayo gurl we synthesize your uniform and yo new weave AYO you slay today queen you SLAY!!!!

>white girl calls her a convict within 30 seconds of the episode

I think you mean /DIS/

>While STD is for actual fans and intellectuals
