Americans shower in toilet water so when the water goes to the toilet it needs to be cooled first but since the toilet pipe and shower pipe are the same it cools the shower water too.

Sneed controls the cold water supply while Chuck controls the hot water supply. When you flush the toilet Sneed forgets to tell Chuck to lower the pressure so the water gets hot.

iirc it's because most yurostani's live in apartment complex's with shared water systems that filter such things out whereas in the US since many if not most people have their own houses, individual water heaters are a thing

Because the water flow to the toilet tank reduces the amount of cold water available for the shower. I can't understand how this would not be a problem in European homes, even with tankless water heaters which I understand are more common there.
