80's movies look like shit

>80's movies look like shit
this
literally ruined the whole new-hollywood movement built up through the 60s and 70s to gave us an entire decade of schlock/hollywood shit

This movie is great for late night viewing. It’s good by exactly zero means but they bulletproof guys interested me.

That movie came out the same summer as T2

...

Tons of sequels but it didn’t meet expectations so they shelved the sequel for so long it lost all of its interest.

THIS, I never see this mentioned, great buddy cop movie

This had added $10 million dollars to the original movies budget and well...we know how that turned out.

Harley Davidson actually rode a Honda, on top of that it just didn't make any sense to me
It looked like a futuristic movie that couldn't afford to be one. A post apocalypse that didn't annihilate anyone

I'll have to watch it again sometime.

This movie was fun

Surprised they didn’t even go the Direct to DVD route

They were going to do a sequel. But Russell was signed on to Captain Ron...and Stallone went a different route. Look at that fucking poster. Reminds me of the movies Elaine would go see in Seinfeld.

Arnold tricked Stallone into doing this.

Fuck you guys, OP's film is fucking great.
Don't judge if you've never seen it.

They shot in Nevada & LA. It wasn’t a future movie just had that whole 90s cheap feel where they rip off all the hood ornaments so they don’t have to go through trademark stuff.

Playing God did that big time.

Uh, no, Harley Davidson rode a Harley Davidson. It was Marlboro Man who rode the Honda.

> Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger were competing against each other at that time, and Schwarzenegger faked interest in this movie in order to make Stallone audition for it. Stallone, who heard that Schwarzenegger was interested in headlining in this movie, immediately dropped everything and contacted the producers, saying that he wanted to headline. He deeply regrets this.

The 90s weren’t kind to Stallone for the most part.

Based Schwarzanigger working Stallone like the mark he is
