Unpopular Sup Forums Opinions thread

I think the Amazing World of Gumball's humor is a downer

I enjoy SU and Star VS but find none of the characters attractive

shippers ruin everything they touch on this board

I don't think any of those "romances" from those shows are considered to be unique or interesting. Those soap operas are literally the results of copy and paste of many cliches.

The Stan Lee soul sucking meme is stale and unfunny.

Simpsons post-S10 is enjoyable. Episodes like "Brick Like Me" shows just how good new Simpsons can get.

I think Johnny Test was one of the better shows on cartoon network. It's not even close to the best, but not nearly as bad as people on here seem to think it is.

Gravity Falls was just okay

>unpopular opinons

I suppose that's more an unpopular opinion for the general internet than for Sup Forums

I think the 1st season of Legend of Korra is actually pretty good. For those with lower standards, 2 and 3 are perfectly watchable as well.

"Hardcore" comic book fanboys are killing the industry worse than normies

I never saw past the first season of Bojack Horseman. I felt that season delivered on everything that had to be said about the show's characters in a satisfying manner. I fear that continuing through two more seasons of Bojack's self-destructive behaviour ruining everything, then slowly gaining some form of fleeting happiness towards the end would probably end up softening the show's depressing tone through sheer habituation, making the whole seem less good by extension.

I don't find Scrappy annoying at all

I actually kinda want him to come back

I want to see a Scooby-Doo incarnation deliberately try to "redeem" him.

Facts don't count as unpopular opinions

Hold the fuck up, people don't like season 3 of Korra? That was my favorite out of all of them.

I like the diverse character designs, the anime influences, the over-reliance on pathos, and a lot of the other "tumblr" traits of Steven Universe.

I don't want other shows to copy it but I want to see more variety in western shows in general, and I think up till recently Rebecca's skills have been good at balancing those traits.

The humors great you tasteless fuck. Also
>the only good things disneys down on their own that they didnt have to buy out or only show on their cartoon channel has happend in the past ten years only
>mighty magiswords has a great artstyle thats wasted on the shit humor
>calarts is a great artstyle and 9/10 i know ill like a show if it has that style
>adventure time should have done a soft reboot to try to go back to its funny roots then to outright kill the show
>gravity falls season 2B and ending was shit but mabel had nothing to do with it

I don't know what people don't like. It's just 3 follows 2, which was a mess for all intents and purposes, and kind of sort of ruined the Avatar myth and made the good spirit female and the evil male. Let's just say I was pretty tiggered.

What i like about it is its more a hippie show then an sjw show

Going a step further, I thought Korra as a whole was a decent, albeit unremarkable show. It wasn't as bad as people here claim, even if it is obviously inferior to The Last Airbender.

>>mighty magiswords has a great artstyle thats wasted on the shit humor
>>adventure time should have done a soft reboot to try to go back to its funny roots then to outright kill the show
The thread is unpopular opinions

>mighty magiswords has a great artstyle thats wasted on the shit humor

Good designs, but the style itself is a bit too simplistic. It would be better if it was a little more detailed.

He's not a real character. His point was to get little kids into scooby doo but instead it annoyed us little kids to no end. I'm glad the scrappy doo effect died out.

"What's New Scooby Doo?" was good... for the first season, at least.

>gravity falls season 2B and ending was shit but mabel had nothing to do with it

Fucking this.

Archer is painfully unfunny, the animation is garbage, and is to Venture Bros what Flapjack is to Spongebob

I enjoy SU for what it is, and I don't mind the shipping. Though there are some episodes that are rather shit. I.e. the Uncle Grandpa and several townie episodes.

Speak for yourself. I liked him as a kid, and so did a lot of others.

is mentioning live action Sup Forums movies allowed, particularly, recently released ones? I've plenty of fairly unpopular opinions if so.

Current Tawog has an awful artstyle.

Do you mean mean spirited?

Yeah, it's too funny.

Samurai Jack is actually legitimately boring. Not trying to bait or troll, I'm six episodes into season two and it hasn't gotten any more interesting.

There's been some good episodes with heavier dialogue and intrigue, but the fighting is actually a snore. Is it just nostalgia or am I missing an element of patience necessary?

Feels like what a movie from the 1950s is to cartoons; slow, methodical, fucking boring.

I'd argue continuing to watch gives the audience the hope that Bojack will eventually break his habit provided you care about his character. I only watched for more Mr. PB

I just watched Monsters University tonight and I thought it was nice. Not the generic happy ending.

a thing about the show is that it's tone changed between 1 and 2, and 2 and 3
but 3 onwards the tone is kinda kept the same
the humor hasn't really changed, they've seemed to found a style and formula they like and haven't been willing to change it
it's still funny, but not fresh

i'm talking about gumball btw

>the humors great
no faggot. it doesn't work that way because you say so.

Its made by British people and the Brits are natural downers. No surprise the humor is self-deprecating. Humor is subjective but I think Gumball's comedy is hit or miss but its creativity is amazing

Thats a fine unpopular opinion but speak for yourself.

fucking ant

Stop and think for a second. It was a series placed on a block of action shows back in the day for a number of years. So we'd get one episode a week and sometimes for whatever reason you would miss an episode here and there. Yes you are missing a big element. You are trying to marathon a series that was only meant to be enjoyed on a weekly-biweekly basis.

>All versions of The Powerpuff Girls is shit.
>Samurai Jack Season Two is awful. The slow pace really starts to hurt the show at this point.
>Gumball may have a girlfriend, but she isn't well written. I feel like the writers are trying to make me forget that other characters have unique traits of their own. Hell, she isn't even the only shapeshifter in the cartoon.
>Waifubait is not an excuse for liking a show or comic. Shipping is also not a valid excuse.
>Cal-Arts may be a meme, but there is some truth to it.
>Superdad is a stupid idea. His son looks like a girl.
>Batman does not work well as a comic. The Brave and the Bold will always be the best iteration of Batman.
>The movie version of V for Vendetta might as well not be called V for Vendetta. It has a very different message from the comic.
>Marvel will always have the upper-hand over DC just because of their movies and Disney.
>DC movies may be hindered by WB, but that alone does not excuse BvS or SS.
>Death of the Endless may be cool, but I think that Destiny of the Endless should have had much more attention during The Sandman.
>Multiversity is fun as hell, but the Hypercrisis theory is just absurd.
>Disney movies like Frozen and Zootopia are made without soul.
>Cartoon fags are worse than Comic Fags.

>Death of the Endless may be cool, but I think that Destiny of the Endless should have had much more attention during The Sandman.

Fucking this. I was always interested in seeing more of destiny and despair. Although, I will say death has to be one of my favourite characters next to delirium.

I think shipping is fun.

I don't think it's cancer.
I don't think it's worth fighting over.

I just think it's light-hearted melodramatic fun and I enjoy a healthy dose of stupid romance in my dumb baby cartoons for idiot kids. It makes me feel like a kid again, and remember having crushes on girls and not feeling like the tired, isolated misanthtope that I grew up to be.

I like shipping characters because it's fun to have fun.

My friend briefly used the name Delirium as her porn name before she changed it to something easier to google. Should I read this bullshit? I stole her copy of it but I never read it out of boyish spite.

Wow this.
The designs are sweet beans but they look like little pieces of fucking clip art. There needs to be more happening to them and all the fuck around them.

Well if you're into an interesting set of lore, characters and a darkish kinda atmosphere then I reckon you might like it. Delirium herself is really cute in an innocently tragic way. Also she has some of the most memorable parts in the series.
