They operated at a loss.
And demolishing them would cost an absolute fortune.
So what do? Terrorist attack. Gets rid of the building, AND you get an insurance payout, which you coincidentally signed just a few weeks prior.

Yeah that makes sense. I think it comes down to being able to handle that version of reality. I had a very intelligent friend go on Sup Forums for a while and it was actually before I went on, and his mind was breaking with paranoia about jews. I started going on and really started conversing with him about it but he started denying all the stuff I was saying, saying it made him too paranoid.
Now a days he totally mocks me for going on Sup Forums and being a conspiracy theorist and especially a Trump supporter, but I feel in my heart the reason he denies it all is because it makes him too depressed and anxious.
