How can Snyder be so based?

How can Snyder be so based?

...

babby's first movie

...

VISUALLY Snyder has always been impressive.
Too bad he couldn't write his way out of a wet paper beg.

This is bait.

I recomend people to take meansures.

BvS is a 10/10 film and anyone who says otherwise is trolling.

>be Snyder
>be shit director
>get popular by making mass-appeal shit
>hide entry-level themes and symbols behind first year film school cinematography
>critics and devoted audience members see right through this for the shit it is
>doesn't matter, subject matter alone draws in enough of an audience to make a profit
>keep getting work because of this and, mostly, his wife

ikr

Why would Superman have a problem with someone letting one of his parents die?

>mostly, his wife
She has very little sway, as evidenced by her never ever producing a movie besides one of Zack's prior to WW. If anything he's the one getting her work, not the other way around.
I hate the guy as a filmmaker but people repeating that with no basis whatsoever is silly.

Snyder's movies are very visually interesting.

That's all they are.

Best BvS theme? IMO power and what it does to people. A lot of people say "power corrupts" but it's clear that this is untrue. BvS was a Platonic myth-esque story used to show the absurdity of that claim. What causes Batman to be corrupted? The feeling of powerlessness during the Black Zero incident. What causes Lex to turn evil? The feeling of powerlessness against his father. What causes Superman to ALMOST become corrupted? The feeling of powerlessness coming from Lex and then Batman's kryptonite gas.

It's obvious that power itself doesn't cause corruption, but having power and feeling powerless, or being a corrupt person in the first place. We don't have to turn evil, we can be like Superman.

Now if someone could give him a writer that doesn't make his movies nonsensical,I'd love to see him being too life a fun superman

Posting real good movies that won't remembered as patethic trainwrecks.

>prove me wrong
> You can't

>similar scenes use similar composition
It's almost like that's how you generally film those type of scenes because of where you want to attract the audiences' attention. Genius.

I don't even think they're that desu, just visually loud and, ironically, pretty by the numbers.

His movie would still be monochromatic and gray. Snyder needs someone to take charge and punch him when he have stupid ideas.

I kinda liked Suicide Squad but other than that I'd agree.

American Splendor is pretty underrated.

>fun superman
We've seen glimpses of a fun Superman. The thing is, he got their lowest point out of the way and over with so that everyone else could write happier movies. Snyder is a Christ-figure, sacrificing himself for the sake of everyone else (this is a joke) . In all seriousness though, it's best to get the low point out of the way so that everyhing else goes up. I like how it started off hyper realistically and then it gradually started going more and more fantastical after Superman's arrival. Personally I find it to be a great move because it lets people be more accepting to the parts of comics that push "suspension of disbelief" to its limits.

I think people genuinely enjoy Man of Steel and Watchmen, but nobody likes ASM2. Winter Solider and Dark Knight also don't belong in patrician.

Sup Forums will never, ever fuck off and die will it?

fuck you, this chart sucks

Congratulations, you are a contrarian.

>people
>accepting edgelord
>care less than about death of ant from Antman shit
Yeah, right.

>I think people genuinely enjoy Man of Steel and Watchmen

You think wrong.

The easy solution is to just make your own. Personally I can't believe that guy who forced the extra slot "Philistine" meme actually got away with it. There was no need for it.

>In all seriousness though, it's best to get the low point out of the way so that everyhing else goes up.
Is it? I always find drama happening to characters I've seen being happy and laughed with and things like that to be more effective because I've grown attached to them before all the bad shit happens.

>Personally I find it to be a great move because it lets people be more accepting to the parts of comics that push "suspension of disbelief" to its limits.
With all the success of fantasy and sci-fi movies, I don't think it's that much of an issue for general audiences. Especially kids, who used to be one of the main targets of Superman media.

It's a meme opinion chart, there's no need for any of it really.
I can see a distinction between plebian (heathen) and philistine (heretic).

>Is it?
Seeing the reception, I'd say yeah. It's okay if you don't think so though, there are many ways to make a story (unlike what some people would want you to believe).

>With all the success of fantasy and sci-fi movies, I don't think it's that much of an issue for general audiences.
I don't know if audiences are ready for BIG comics stuff. I mean, can you imagine what would happen if they tried a Crisis movie on the big screen? Even just Silver Age stuff would be too much. Alternate universes interacting with each other would have overwhelmed people years ago, so the Flash TV series giving people a glimpse into that is already helpful.

Then I guess it's a good thing Wonder Woman is the first DC film he has any writing credit on.

>Seeing the reception, I'd say yeah.
But the reception for BvS was terrible, and MoS was lukewarm at best.
>there are many ways to make a story
I agree but you were arguing "it's best" to do that.

>I don't know if audiences are ready for BIG comics stuff. I mean, can you imagine what would happen if they tried a Crisis movie on the big screen? Even just Silver Age stuff would be too much. I'm not sure the best alternative to that is what we've got is all.
Besides even Spider-Man TAS had alternate universe versions and there's been plenty of more complex stuff in movies throughout the years.

>Death
I CAN'T FUCKING SEE SHIT WITH ALL THIS KINO IN THE WAY

Oh, wow, a DP can make shots with basic composition. How impressive.

>I agree but you were arguing "it's best" to do that.
I just personally think it's best because I like my guys to be happy. Just a preference.

>Besides even Spider-Man TAS had alternate universe versions and there's been plenty of more complex stuff in movies throughout the years.
Of course cartoons have done a lot of cool stuff, but general audiences don't watch cartoons unfortunately. The live action audience is tough because they're usually retarded and don't care about the source material, so you have to ease them into it. I'm interested in the "complex movie" thing you mentioned. Can you give me something on par with say Kirby's New Gods? The closest I can think of is Star Wars but that's not even that big of a deal comparitively. Something like a mother box would be confusing to "normal people." You gotta keep in mind that there are people who aren't going to immediately understand things like you and me. And that leads to "this is ridiculous" which leads to "I don't like this."

>I just personally think it's best because I like my guys to be happy.
That's not how storytelling works. You don't have to never have happy moments because you started out happy, and starting out sad doesn't mean there won't be sad moments afterwards either.

>Of course cartoons have done a lot of cool stuff, but general audiences don't watch cartoons unfortunately.
Everyone watched cartoons as kids, and Disney animated movies dominated the 2016 box office. Kids make a huge part of moviegoing audiences anyway, especially for cape movies.
Star Wars is not complex for shit, just on par in terms of silliness. The Matrix trilogy has more complex concepts.

>Something like a mother box would be confusing to "normal people."
They seem fine with the McGuffins in the Marvel movies.

>Something like a mother box would be confusing to "normal people."
Genetically manufactured villains ranting about their "superior evolution" and Kryptonian black projects to develop hideous monsters from a race with a monomaniacal obsession with maintaining strict genetic purity confuse people who actually want to become involved with a plot.

Not to mention creatures like Lex obsessed with tormenting and destroying Superman because he's a God figure, and then turning out to be a simple lackey of other God figures.

Or Clark's diatribe to Lois about "I can't use my powers, not even to save my own family", when the entire reason she's been able to track him down is that he's been constantly using his powers across the continent for reasons ranging from noble to petty.

I'd just like a DCEU movie that doesn't ask me to accept a bunch of dumb and contradictory plot elements just so the story can lurch on towards the big CGI battle.

Nice visuals. To bad the story was shit

Any idiot with a bible can implement religious allusion in his work. It doesn't take any actual to remember visual reference already made in your work, especially if, and this is what Snyder problem is, it doesn't actually mean anything.

A thought.

"You don't owe them anything"

Is Zack Snyder an Objectivist trying to shove Rand's philosophy into Superman?

P O T T E R Y

BRAVO LUCAS

>Superman: The Movie in patrician
Hell son I like you why don't you come to my house and fuck my sister

>strange
>pleb

wew

I genuinely enjoyed ASM2 more than Winter Soldier, come at me

None of those things are based.

Almost all of the MCU belongs in that category, bro

Still I wish we had started of with the fun farmer boy dealing with a world a lot grimmer than he imagined and threw struggle making it brighter

Clark's face in the bottom panel looks off

No, it makes sense. A pleb is just a commoner with shallow tastes. A philistine is someone with completely awful taste. There's a difference.

Zebra anus and balls

That is a lovely opinion and you are welcome to it, but your opinion is not objective fact, nor is it the only opinion that matters.

But user, the inconsistencies are part of the point! The film wouldn't be based kino for the plebs if it wasn't an incomprehensible mess of a story! THAT'S WHAT MAKES IT KINO!

The asshole looks too low...

It's not just that, the whole theme of the threat of lower people trying to destroy the exceptional ones out of jealousy or other misplaced pettiness is pretty present too.
And it also sounds like masturbation when you realize that's how he treats his critics.

>THAT'S WHAT MAKES IT KINO!
To be fair, it is, it's just that kino isn't particularly a good thing.

LIES. KINO MEANS "BEST CINEMA", THEREFORE KINO IS A GOOD THING. HOW DARE YOU SLANDER THE TERM. YOU A MARVELDRONE, BITCHTITS? YOU STANNING FOR FEIGE? YOU WANNA SUCK CHRIS EVANS'S DICK come to think of it I can understand that urge I mean come on look at the guy BUT THAT ISN'T RELEVANT RIGHT NOW, YOU TAKE BACK WHAT YOU SAID ABOUT KINO, YOU POT-SMOKING MARVEL-LOVING NEET

>muh fun!!
generic and repetitive >>>/MCU/ this way

Good cinematography can't redeem an otherwise awful film.

People are afraid of what they don't understand.

civil..... civillhahahaha....civil... WAR... HAHAHAHAHHAHH ""WAR""" HHAHAHAHAHA

Quick, somebody post the collage of good cinematography in Avengers.

Oh, wait, there is none.

I want Sup Forums to take their shitty memes back to their own shitty memeboard.

>wahhhhh stop enjoying BvS only MCU cocksucking allowed wahhhhh

you need to calm the fuck down

Mad.

...

UGH JUST UGH BvS WAS TOTES PROBLEMATIC

>makes four ass-hurt comments
>im mad
again calm the fuck down.

>being such a paranoid faggot that you think opinions that conflict with yours are all the same person

Seek help, autismo.

...

>tfw to stupid too understand BvS

This

okay so its either one very butt-mad Snyder fanboy, who invaded a thread with his faggotry and hurt feelings and obvious contrarianism, or a bunch of them. See whats wrong here?
also: calm down.

No one's mad here, friend. There is no anger when it comes to studying the art of film.

I have one word for you "MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTHHHHHHHHNHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

NIGGERS!!!! FUCKING NIGGERS!!!!!!

reply to this or ur mother dies.

still not as bad as

BEYONCE

YOU GUYS KNOW BEYONCE, RIGHT?

Same goes for this user

...

>art of film
>white genocide tier mental gymnastics and surface level religious allegory
if this art than art is shit.

I don't get people's inability to accept different interpretations of characters. I love happy farm boy superman just as much as I love alien messiah superman. That's what makes comic book characters so great, theres an endless possibility of stories you can tell with them.

>bringing up the white genocide boogeyman out of nowhere

Geez. Can you keep your SJW politics on tumblr? It's irrelevant to the thread.

Anybody else get horn horn when they saw Lex Luther's jar of piss? I fapped in the theater.

yes i fapped so hard that cum went everywhere!

im just giving an example of extreme mental gymnastics also:
>assuming im an SJW
>still posting these stupid as fuck pics

anal only hurts if you're unprepared.

>bringing up the white genocide boogeyman out of nowhere
You're not exactly convincing anyone otherwise, friendo.

my grandmother has stage 5 cancer.

i want u to twerk on my dick while wearing clothes!

reply or the entire population of earth dies.

Not that user, but bringing up sjws started hereFor no reason

my grand mother has stage 5 cancer.

Can you please stay on topic?

>Zack Snyder carries the weight of Super Kino
I love these so much

Dayum Im legit impressed

this thread is pathetic

I'm a writer for the BvS gay porn parody, AMA.

>hasn't read Plato
>thinks he can form a coherent opinion on BvS
