Thor is too high.
Id put it at probably low to mid 70s. Maybe like 74%. And boxoffice more down in the 500-600 mil range, normies dont really care about Thor.

I feel like this Thor film will be a big turn around for the franchise
Plus it ties in directly with Infinity War

HA! You batfags and your batwank.
No way this makes more than a shitlord Transformers movie or that
>>Transformers 5 >BO: 550 million
makes unfortunately less than $750 million WW
No way in hell this turd makes this much. If it's lucky, it will make $700M but I don't expect it:

>The Lego Batman Movie
Probably much lower on both. Don't expect big money just because Batman is involved, or good reviews just because Lego is involved. It's a cash-in sequel, nothing more.
>Logan
60% is going to be pushing it. It's a turd. $400m-$500m
>Power Rangers
Honestly have no frame of reference, but it doesn't look awful even if it's clearly more soulless money crap. $500m, sequel, damn the reviews.
>Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
Ha! Yeah. Who even cares. Probably not so high for either of them, but who knows.
>Wonder Woman
I think we may be in agreement here.
>Transformers 5 Nope. Transformers grosses go UP. That is all. RT score could be as high as 60. We know it probably won't be, but it's not unheard of, they're all over the damn place.
>Spider-Man: Homecoming Genuinely don't know. Probably depends on the opening weekend crowd being positive about it being more MCU than SPE - if they're not, it's fucked.
>Kingsman 2 Top critics didn't like Kingsman as much as the general critic mass. RT score will probably go lower for the sequel, not higher, as a result.
Gross too. It has lost the ability to shock, the ability to insult, and the ability to stand aside from Bond or Bourne or whatever shit and say "laugh at them". It's one of the establishment now.
>Thor: Ragnarok Now, see, I think the Thor movies have lost their star and the gross may reflect that, but I don't know. If they have - under 700. Probably way under. If not, over, but anywhere, I don't want to guess.
Who even fucking knows what the critics are going to think? It sounds like it's a huge departure from the previous movies.

We don't know what the budget is but if it's in the 150 million range 460 million would be under performing.
OP here. I don't know about everyone else but I'm looking at the budgets and when the films are being released and how previous films in the series performed to come up with these guesses.

Lego and Logan will outperform their predecessors marginally; Spider-Man will bring in Raimi level money, Thor will be fun and overperform, barely anyone gives a fuck about Power Rangers, Justice League will do about par for BvS, the ceiling for Snyder joints. BvS made a lot more than MoS, so JL should do the same with BvS. There is no trend showing that the DCEUs movies are dropping financially.
Michael Gonzalez
>the last Lego movie didn't break $500 million WW. A non-live action comedic Batman is NOT going to make an extra $225+ million without actual LIVE action choreographed fights/scenes, 3D and premium theater bookings, etc. Comedy in general doesn't do well internationally, as well. It could be an Avengers Lego comedy movie and it wouldn't break $750 million.
Liam Thomas
Going by that logic JL5 will make 10 billion
Gabriel Cooper
>742 billion
You started drinking too early tonight user.
>>Wonder Woman >BO: 240 million
This will easily make $400 million without even trying. Antman broke $500 million and the only thing keeping WW from easily making what Suicide Squad made is the late May competition, which is hard to quantify right now; it's hard to say if Pirates will do as well as previous versions and GotG won't have the legs in June that it did at the end of the summer unless it's exceptionally well received as far as word of mouth, which again is hard to quantify right now. Either way, there's no reason to believe this won't make twice this prediction without even sweating.
Connor Kelly
>GOTG 2 making more than Justice League but why?
Brayden Parker
Well, theres always a tipping point. But usually sequels make more money than the previous entry (although the Avengers movies make less with every entry).
Carson Mitchell
one is >sequel to a beloved and well received movie >part of a beloved and well received franchise >made way more at the box office than it was expected to >same beloved director the other is >sequel to a almost universally hated and panned movie >part of a almost universally hated and panned franchise >made way less at the box office than it was expected >same hated director You guess which is which.
Brandon James
>BvS made a lot more than MoS, so JL should do the same with BvS. That means jackshit. The last two films weren't good, a trend has been set and people now know for a fact future movies will suck.
Isaiah Reed
Well, that didnt stop Transformers from bein successful. People dont care if the previous movie was shit, you just need to show em a flashy trailer and they'll eat it up.
Carson White
Because at least the Transformers are full of mindless actin and explosions. BvS was a boring fucking chore to watch with not a single moment of enjoyability in it's 3 hours.
Henry Cruz
You Queens is high on your Spiderman Homecoming numbers, low on WW, and otherwise just have no clues.
Jayden Gray

>A non-live action comedic Batman is NOT going to make an extra $225+ million without actual LIVE action choreographed fights/scenes No one gives a shit about that, that's not the appeal of Lego movies.

I'm going to laugh when it grosses over 700 WW.

GOTG doesnt have iron man. it will probably be the first marvel movie to do over 800mil without him but its delusional to think GOTG will do as well as Civil War

Oliver Wood
That doesnt matter as much as you think it does. There are lots of examples of bad movies making huge numbers even following other bad films. the hobbit and star wars sequels come to mind as does suicide squad. Even with a horrible RT score it made more than Doctor Strange and if you say its because it had batman youre really just agreeibg with me. Justice League wont make a billion but it wont do less than 800mil
Brandon Baker
>GOTG doesnt have iron man So what? The Guardians themselves are the draw for this movie. Especially Baby Groot.
>it will probably be the first marvel movie to do over 800mil without him but its delusional to think GOTG will do as well as Civil War Once again your underestimating what is obviously one of Disney's biggest tentpoles this year (Spider-Man is still Sony).

>Based on... Saw it already. Being a preview audience is easy, if you can sit through some shitty movies for free, fill out a question sheet and avoid telling them how bad they really are at making movies (you don't get asked back).
>They've been going down domestically since 3. 4 overall made less than 3.
Domestic is irrelevant - they're not paying tax on any of it. International tax (where they can't get out of it, which is unusual) gets written off against domestic liability, making the effective rate 0.
I'm sure M. Bayson is crying himself to sleep over that 6% drop when both movies made over 1.1 billion dollars.
>King Kong
Brie "Room" Larson before Captain Marvel and post-Thor Tom "High-Rise" Hiddleston? Yeah, that's going to blow up the box office.
>Beauty and the Beast
Well, here you may be correct. The Jungle Book did pretty good, didn't it?
But it's got the same problem as Kong, essentially; it's a thinly-related late sequel/remake, with none of the same cast. Sure it's Disney: but Disney live-action movies, historically, have been pretty awful.
Even recently they haven't done that well, not so much that they'll crush all opposition. Cinderella struggled to 500, this year's Alice sequel didn't even quite hit 300 despite having Johnny Depp and Anne Hathaway who are both proven draws. And let's not forget John Carter, the big movie that couldn't support its own weight.
I'm not saying PR is going to beat them, just that I don't think it's a guaranteed flop. Really, the differences between them mean it's going to be down to that final two week ad push and what kind of mood people are in opening weekend. Do they want sci-fi, do they want kiddy movies, do they want lame sub-horror monkey movies? We'll see.
James Martinez
People are really high on Kingsman and Lego, which has no basis for the INCREASE for any reason, or rationale, and even taking into consideration the release schedule.
They are either way too low on WW or a bit too low on JL (or too high for JL in some cases, and generally way to high for Spider-Man without basis given the negative response to so much of everything about the movie itself, except for Holland). Likewise, the expectations for Logan are unrealistic given history and current MCU and for Thor.

A friend of mine said it'll be pretty black and white in terms of reception. I don't believe him though because he said some bullshit about there being a cloned CGI Hugh Jackman like Ant-Man did with Micheal Douglas (which is so dumb I'm not even sure if I can hate it). He worked on Terminator Genisys and practically spoiled it for me when he worked on it, but he also lies a lot.
