I'll never not be mad that Warner's legal department is stopping the official Censored 11 DVDs from being released.

The shorts have already been remastered and compiled into DVD form. The set is just sitting on a hard drive somewhere at WB. The Home Media division spent all that money and work on that, only for Legal to block it because they're terrified of getting Black Lives Matter'ed.

Same thing happened with one of the Tom and Jerry sets, where the release was put on hold because it has two cartoons on it that might trigger the Dindus. It's the only thing stopping all Tom and Jerry cartoons from being officially remastered and released.

He's some sort of slav.

For Disney, if you're not trying to be blatantly racist, you can count the crows from "Dumbo." Outrageously stereotypical, but not completely irredeemable.

(We won't talk about that Disney movie that never gets shown or sold here in the States.)

Czechoslovakian - you know, before the country broke up.

He's voiced by Tim Curry in full thespian mode. An oblivious, pompous, sentimental upper-class twit. With bad teeth.

Old popeye (like 40s and 50's era) were blatantly rascist.

Question for brits: what are your feelings on Nigel Thornberry? Are you offended by him, or is he a shining beacon of your culture?

A stereotypical Luvvie. We do have people like that here but they tend to stay in the theatre business and not be seen by ordinary people outside of the stage.

But then he is voiced by Tim Curry. Comes with the territory.

Do you ever say smashing, just to fuck around?

Nah, it's fallen out of usage largely due to cultural cringe. It's about as common these days as gee willikers is in America.
