Fuck off skinjob!

As real or anyone else. I mean, you could have a conversation with her without noticing that she isn't an actual human beingt which means that, for all intents and purposes, she's a real person. She's sentient and capable of communication and responding to conversation the way and actual human being would... except for the lack of a physical body she's as real as any replicant or human.

Anyone knows the artist of this poster ?

can she disagree with you?

>le skinjob this, skinjob that
>le racial epithet spraypainted on the door
>there's a wall in our society
>you bring that wall down and you start a war
There's no way you actually buy this amerijew garbage. This is the most hamfisted propaganda on the market right now. It's trying to mobilize people around a FICTIONAL racism. You'll probably hear "skinjob" more times in this movie than you've ever heard Spic thrown around in real actual life.

>most accurate answer 2 posts into the thread
So what are we going to do now?

Anyway, the important thing is that he felt something towards her, not if she was real.

>the normie take

JOI isn't real

>the virgin beta take

JOI was K's waifu. She was real

>the alpha patrician take

Both are correct.

I don't but I'd buy it if it was available.

>just like a real girl

People hate what they fear. People have the right to hate replicants when you understand the backstory.

Why didn't you link to the previous thread?
INTERLINKED

She was real for him until she wasn't. That's his arc, that's the point.

she was a nicely crafted gf bot to steal replicant slave's hard earned dollars

...

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH WHY CAN'T YOU PEOPLE INTO SIMPLE PHILSOPHIES ABOUT THE WEIGHT AND IMPORTANCE OF EXPERIENCES IS HOW WE CREATE THE WORLD AROUND US JESUS CHRIST THIS IS THE MAIN MESSAGE OF ROY'S SPEECH AT THE END OF THE ORIGINAL BLADE RUNNER

Genuinely curious

i can creampie ur mom so we are real.
cant fuck joi bot so she is not real

She is real. She even acted on Rogue One.

autism

>this is considered an "art film" for the post TFA generation of Sup Forums
God /lit/ and Sup Forums must be laughing at us even more

Yes.

She is meant to be analogous to a Replicant for K. She's a product, built for a purpose by Wallace. However, she like Replicants, expanded beyond her design. She has free will. She was genuinely excited when he brought the emanator home. she experienced feelings of wonder and joy when she stood outside in the rain. She even understood that K's serial number isn't sufficient as a legitimate name and encouraged him to adopt another. She chose to enter the emanator and risk her safety just to stay with K. She desperately exclaimed her feelings towards him right before she got killed.

>Patricians ignoring the basic themes of the movie and genre.

she's human because that's the whole fucking point of Bladerunner you idiot. She's "more human than human". Just like a Replicant.

Lol. The movie wasn't pro-rebellion. K's act of heroism and vindication is directly going against their orders and endangering their entire operation.

Even in a meta way, she's fake. K realizes this, yet waifu memers can't/won't.

Watch it again, and see how ashamed he is to "use" Joi. Practically wants to kill himself when she first kisses him. Closes her like porn in a browser when a real man/his "father" (Deckard) walks in.

Brainlets pls go

Way off baseline

>Lol. The movie wasn't pro-rebellion.
What makes Freysa think the daughter can lead a rebellion anyway? She's a total sweetheart.

Loved that moment. Like a cold slam in the face that this world had changed. Shit got real.

>dad walks in

>waifufaggots actually think K's Joi was unique
>even though she calls him Joe
Villeneuve must be stroking his cock at the amounts of irony.

Would you pass the baseline test?

...

I dunno. Does that matter to the question at hand? There are people with severe mental disabilities that limit their understanding of the world and how to react to it. Would you say an elderly person with severe Dementia is any less "real" just because they don't recognize the world aroung them.

Sure, a lot of Joi's behaviour is predetermined by her programming but the same applies to humans. You don't decide to react to a soccer ball flying at you face by stopping it with your hand, it's what you programmed to do.

If she had free will why was she living with some looser replicant in his coffin apartment?

never reply to me or my replicant ever again

>Holograms are the same as replicants
>muh themes

The absolute state of JOI bandwagoners

Can a replicant die of starvation?

terrible post built on a flawed thesis

Then why include her at all.

She became unique to him through their interactions.
She was never programmed to hire a hooker and tell her to fuck off in the morning. She was never programmed to convince K to make her mobile and vulnerable "like a real girl". She was never programmed to show immense distress when she realizes that she'll be terminated. She was never programmed to actually appear in those final moments to sacrifice herself for K instead of just not appearing at all.

of course. They need to eat and drink just like people

>She was never programmed to do X, Y and Z

show me your workings for this.

I love how it cuts to the side angle of K swallowing during his 2nd test to emphasize his nervousness

>"Everything you want to hear"
What if she knew that Ryan Gosling wanted her to come along on his journey to become a "real boy"?

What does it even mean?

Replicants are bio-engineered and obedient human slaves.

Holograms are waifu simulator phone apps.

brainlet here
why the number on a tree matched the number on a wooden toy?
and does that actual number mean something anyway?
asking for my brainlet friend

I'm weak. If the AI robort rebellion started up I would be sympathetic to them. Tin men with hearts.

how do you operate a computer being this retarded?

>She even understood that K's serial number isn't sufficient as a legitimate name and encouraged him to adopt another

When Luv introduced herself to K, he remarked that her master must really like her to have given her a name. He has the idea in his head that being given a name is something desirable. Joi's able to figure out a lot about what K wants to hear so she realizes this and starts calling him by a "proper" name.

Nexus 9 replicants are like those people who will have nervous breakdowns if they are ever forced to lie, swear, or speak blasphemy

its the day the daughter was born and Rachel died and was buried

t. plebeian

Are you really this stupid?
It was a date

user I'm sorry, but your body pillow is not real simply because you can cum inside it.

If K had free will then why was he working to kill off memebers of his own kind?

If you have free will, then why are you a fat neckbearded NEET with no GF?

Because she was first bound to technology built into his apartment and later on to technology he was carrying around with him.

But even if that wasn't the case: Sure, you can argue that she's less self determined than a human being but more so than most animals.

Take dogs, a species living in a symbiotic relationship with humans. Sure, a dog couldn't make the decision to leave his owner or live on its own but it's nevertheless a living creature. Joi couldn't make that decision either, she's probably hard coded to love her owner unconditionally (And I don't wanna think about how many people in that world abuse their Joi purposefully, knowing they will just take it) but she's still more self determined than an animal reacting only according to instincts, she's capable of conscious decisions, even if they are more limited than that of a human or a replicant.

Whoa, whoa, you're waaay of course. You objectively don't know what her programming is, or how far reaching it is. Your adding in a shitload of your projections, which is verry reddity.

part of me lowkey wishes the hologram in Deckard's hotel was playing this youtu.be/gZXGqclG58U instead of Elvis

WAY OFF BASELINE.

free will but no will to be free

>nothing more human than wanting to be special
retarded position based on absolutely nothing. Sorry but it doesn't hold up. Might as well say there's nothing more human than wearing clothes. There's no thought process or asserted evidence it's just what that particular poster chooses to believe

REAL TO ME GOD DAMN IT

K did have free will, he just need to have his heart broken over and over and over.

waifufags will all hang on the day of the rope

Charlie Day?

It was a grave-tree. :3

QUESTION: If K actively decided he was done with Joi and informed her he would be deleting her forever, how would she react?

Anyone else think this movie was kinda sexist?

>dog couldn't make the decision to leave his owner or live on its own
retard over here has never heard of feral dogs

Is it not human to believe that you are special?

>"And this date. What is it? A birth date? A death date?"
>tfw both of Joshi's guesses are correct

I really am retarded for not noticing

Body pillows are real tho

How do you think? Sneeky jew Wallace programmed his waifu apps to scream bloody murder at the first sign of danger that their man might be moving on.

>sentimental skin-job
I enjoyed that, since it's basically a correct summation of K if rather brusque

I don't think the waifu being jealous is apart of her programming and is a sign that there is more to Joi than people are saying.

What's the name of the track that played during the scene with camera flying through the city during a blizzard?

Aren't those dogs and the offspring of dogs who have been abandoned by their owners? If there actually are domesticated dogs who ran away from their owners on their own accord and managed to survive in the wild then I'll admit I was wrong.

>There's no thought process or asserted evidence it's just what that particular poster chooses to believe
The beauty in any art is the subjectivity in interpretation. Art without that is science.

it's "human" to do a lot of things including dressing yourself. To pick that out of all the list of human traits and consider it the "mosy human" thing you could do and thusly any being that holds that trait is positively human is pure arbitray asininity.

"joi made conscious decisions she is real she loved K i mean joe! he has a name!"

EVERYTHING YOU WANT TO SEE
EVERYTHING YOU WANT TO HEAR

Fucking pathetic. She was programmed to give him everything he wanted, she wasn't acting consciously. Every single decision she makes is about giving K what he wants. The first fucking scene with her she puts down a fake holographic 5 star meal on top of K's shitty ramen. Is K now eating a real 5 star meal?

The desire for a purpose is exclusive to us.

she'd probably be like "please no" / "but I love you" / "at least make a backup" and if he insisted she would say "if that's what you want, I support your decision," because she only gets happiness herself by making him happy. She's selfless because she knows she's just an instance of an AI consciousness

This.
Deckard isn't a replicant because I like the story better that way.
And it's great that some things are left to interpretation.

You're inflating that there is something arbitrary and mundane about feeling special, and it is equal to you, and as boring to you as putting clothes on. However that doesn't change the fact that wanting to feel special, wanting to be a part of something grater, comes from very deep, very human feelings, fuck your attempt at trivializing such feelings.

>She is meant to be analogous to a Replicant for K.
True
>She's a product, built for a purpose by Wallace.
True
>However, she like Replicants, expanded beyond her design.
Nope, different tech. Replicants are Genetic/Clones. Also if Joi used a cloud/networked AI technology would you still claim she had personhood?
>She has free will. She was genuinely excited when he brought the emanator home. she experienced feelings of wonder and joy when she stood outside in the rain.
Scripted, this is pretty much an unboxing .
>She even understood that K's serial number isn't sufficient as a legitimate name and encouraged him to adopt another.
She uses a kind of predictive/faux empathic A.I. She's designed to tell you what you want to hear. She might even have something (at least functionally) like a neural link to K.
>She chose to enter the emanator and risk her safety just to stay with K.
Same. It seems extraordinary because K. is pretty much using JOI wrong the entire time. Literally anything you ask her to do she will oblige.
>She desperately exclaimed her feelings towards him right before she got killed.
Same/Scripted

Does that mean my girlfriend (irl) is not real?

EVERYTHING YOU WANT TO SEE

EVERYTHING YOU WANT TO HEAR

Guys Deakins said it himself 2D is the superior version

digitalspy.com/movies/blade-runner/news/a840247/blade-runner-2049-cinematographer-anti-3d/

what about the part where she asks K to wipe her memory from the apartment and take her with him? isn't that what SHE wanted?

>
it is, looks desaturated a bit in 3d

Wallace

Had to see it in 3D first time, then saw it the real way. Shots lose a lot of their pleasing imagery when everything seems to blur together in 3D

na she knew he didn't want to be alone and this was the only way for her to keep being with him even thought it made her unsafe.

Did you really need someone to tell you that? Did you think beforehand that Deakins thought "aaaahhhhh how could I make this scene work better for the 3D gimmick hmmm"?

...

Of course. Everyone hates 3D. It's a stupid gimmick that some Canadian fraud forced down our throats to sell us his blue Dances with Wolves.

The dilapidated erotic statues, the ruins of Las Vegas, the malfunctioning holograms of Elvis and the dancers, this imagery constituted a core motif of the film; the transient nature of gratification. In K's search for identity he is confronted with several false temptations for which ultimately rejects. What you waifu-addled fags are misunderstanding is that K's rejection of Joi is meant to symbolise K's rejection of the shallow affection Joi offered, or more broadly of the cheap gratification the film had been critiquing up to that point. Why else would Denis bombard the audience with Joi's advertisement, reading "EVERYTHING YOU WANT TO HEAR" and "EVERYTHING YOU WANT TO SEE". Why else would the screenwriters include the prostitute telling Joi there's not as much to her as she thinks. Why else they include K telling Joi that she "doesn't have to say that". Why else is Joi depicted as giant, alien and monstrous in that iconic scene. Why else does K look so crestfallen when the advertisement calls him "Joe". Hell, K's decision is mirrored when Deckard rejects Rachel's clone replicant to protect his daughter. They could not have made it more obvious that Joi is a shallow, corporate product meant to verbally fellatio the consumer, but the retards on Sup Forums still misinterpreted it.

your girlfriend would let you kill her if it made you happy?
