Young genius black girl who takes over the title of a more well known character of the same name

>young genius black girl who takes over the title of a more well known character of the same name

Did nobody tell the writer of Invincible Ironman that DC already did that and fairly recently too?

>Bendis not having a creative bone in his body
Stop the presses.

DC and Marvel ripped off each other for decades.
Also black Power Girl didn't make headlines like Riri did and thus caused less discussion and controversy.

>like Riri did
What do you mean?

Is there a reason all these black re-imaginings need to have the same hair style? I know black people have different textured hair, but fuck. Even fucking Steven Universe changed straight long-hair Garnet to a fucking afro.

BREAKING NEWS, DC COMICS INVENTED BLACK PEOPLE.

Because everyone likes afros and round hair in general.

Lord knows it gives me a boner.

>The "progressive" writers think all black women look alike

Color me surprised.

>Those lips
Who is this?

Ignore him. It's just some jewish nonsense there to distract you.

Riri appeared in news articles after being revealed and caused quite a stir up later when one of her covers was thought to be "sexualized" and how the name Iron Heart already exists for a porn flick.

Powergirl from TeenTitans
Though I think that image is either fanart or a cover so don't get your hopes too high

Power Girl (Tanya Spears)

Are you blind? That's like saying a ponytail is the same as pigtails.

Looks like that montha fucka needs Jesus!

There'd probably be more variety if they had black women on staff.

>T-they're different because the curves are going in different directions!

Is basically what you're saying.

I like it, maybe some day black women irl will understand that it looks better than the Playmobil look that the fake af straight hair gives them.

I'm glad she returning in deathtroke
I hope they don't kill her.

It isn't.

Yeah I am a little disappointed now, but thanks anyway.

> one has her hair divided in two
> the other pulls up her whole hair at once

???

Who came first her or Kamala "cancer" khan?

Kamala's tolerable when she's not written by Waid or Bendis

Cause they're often throw away designs they're only doing temporarily for SJW points.

Black women should go back to Afros desu, you can tell if a black female is genuinely beautiful if they still look sexy with an afro.

I hate niggers so much.

It's still the same texture, same color, and take out the hair band and they all have big circle poofy afros. Give one of them short hair or braided hair or fucking something.

Tell us more about your tiny white penis.

>The two most prominent white superheroes, Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent look almost exactly alike

>Every Robin looks the same

>countless white folks throughout comic books share the same basic-ass design.

>Sup Forums casuals don't even notice

But keep having aneurysms about black people being drawn with vaguely similar features, you fragile vanilla crybags.

>Blame blacks for the shit white comic book writers do.
I guess I can't expect much from such a low quality post.

Not the same, you fucking idiot.

straight hair for black women is usually a weave. Afros just work better because they're more natural.

>Assuming I don't think Clark and Bruce having the same design is horrible
Failure on your part. I always thought it was especially shitty in Bruce Timm works because the only way to tell them apart is the fucking glasses. A guy who trains on Earth shouldn't have the exact same shoulder build as a dude with super strength from space.

Fortunately they are able to get away with it because they spend 85% of the time with Bruce in a mask to make him look completely different when standing next to Supes. As opposed to:

...

I'll pretend you're not just shitposting out of your ass and type out a legitimate reply. Have you even tried having curly hair, and I mean black people curly hair? It's a mess and you don't really want to deal with longer hair than that, since it comes down to having to lose lots of time to wash and dry them and remake them into shape way too often
As you get older you only want to keep your hair short unless you're into some subculture and go for a rasta hairdo or something
The only character there I could see going for something different is Miles and he'd have a major problem to fit it under the mask.

>Black people in fictional works can't have varied hair because it's not REALISTIC!

They're fucking superheroes. One of them having Captain America hair isn't going to throw my suspension of disbelief out the window. The entire reason anime has characters with multi-colored hair is because if Asians based all their designs on themselves, it would be a sea of straight black hair.

Yeah make one a redhead and one a mohawk too if you have to have something mindblowingly different for you to understand that similar doesn't equal the same.

20 and 22 are similar but aren't the same
Pig tail afro puffs and a ponytail updo aren't the same

>Is there a reason all these black re-imaginings need to have the same hair style?
>Posts picture of 3 different hairstyles

A black character taking over the mantle was never a problem. Problem is them not having an ounce of personality beyond being black.

Guys, guys, can we just admit that no one can tell people of a different race apart?

Only applies to asians, you can easily tell an arab from a white person.

Has anything happened with Black Power Girl recently? I feel like they introduced her, but then they forgot about her almost immediately.

>implying black women have any real natural variety or diversity in their appearances

Well, yeah, but could you tell two Arabs from each other?

She was around for Teen Titans for a good while and I'm guessing still member of that team.

Right now Damian stole a bunch of teen Titans who were marked for assassination so TT is busy with that story arc so maybe after that the writer will want to use her.

In the meantime she still owns a fortune 500 company that she can super science up at, so you can just imagine she's busy running that business.

Even in Timm they have different eyes, eyebrows, haircut, nose and chin. Maybe you have that thing where you're shit at differentiating faces.
It's more egregious in old comics when they used to pull the "bats disguised as supes or vice versa" trick every other week.

She's showing up in Deathstroke in March IIRC.

>and he'd have a major problem to fit it under the mask.
Hair is very compressible, even "black people" curly hair.

Man, look at these totally different characters.

At most it looks like the artist went slightly off-model for one dude.

will she get tenderly loved by Slade?

I mean, she is a teenager, just like most of Deathstroke's conquests.

You really couldn't tell Michael Jordan and Obama apart?
Or George Takei and Jackie Chan ?

I still see different hair, eyebrows and nose, even when you cherrypick a concept art.

Let me guess, you also think Rapunzel, Elsa, and Anna have different faces too right? And Ghibli faces are all different guys. This character's eyes are 5% wider than this character's eyes!

...Those are three different hair styles, chucklefuck. They're not the same at all other than "black hair".

Sassy black female robin when?

You don't have to get angry and throw strawmen at me, user.
Tommy's Bruce and Clark look quite similar, but if you aren't a blind idiot you should be able to tell them apart.

>Tommy
Timm. Fuck you, phone.

The thing is blacks have some of the most complexion diversity among any other group. It's not that hard to tell them apart.

And you seem to be applying realistic facial features to cartoon simple drawings when a big aspect of design in animation is to try and differentiate features as much as possible because they lack the subtle differences of a real person, so giving two characters the exact same build and faces but one of them has a slightly rounder jaw than the other is just a dumb idea for drawn designs.

Go read We Are Robin.

But they have different faces. As I said, nose, eyes, eyebrows, and hair.
I think you might just identify things from their general shape. Which yeah I guess you should be able to tell characters apart from their shadow, but the complaint about sameface is just not true.

I think the problem is the user is talking to you like you're the guy who couldn't tell 3 black girl hairstyles apart.

>girls and blacks
>intelligent
It's a shit concept.

THICC

The actual reason is because it's been common for a long time to depict black girls with "white" hair (straight and smooth), which is kind of degrading if you see it as an implication that natural nignog hair is gross or abnormal.

I've dated plenty of black girls who always have complexes about their wild and curly hair.

See, the thing about all this Tumblr representation shit is it actually IS important to girls. We all know black dudes and other minority dudes don't give a shit about representation and mostly don't even notice what race the characters are. But girls are unbelievably self-conscious, they're in a constant state of insecurity, which is why they worry so much about representation and "unrealistic" depictions of women.

I don't mean this to generalize all women, but from what I've seen in my life, the majority of women are very sensitive to this kind of thing.

Sup Forums likes John Stewart tho

He got the (you)s he was looking for. This board is easy to trigger

More than likely. Wouldn't put it past Priest.

I feel like misusing of that word is just people trolling
Or idiots trying to use it like "tight" was kinda used for "nice" not too long ago.

>or braided hair
Check the OP image, the middle of power girl's hair is braided. Look at the splits

What's your fucking problem with Black Lightning or Icon?

Duke isn't female

Dose hips tho. She's Thicc. I know this because my dick got hard.

There was a sassy black Robin there though, wasn't there?

I swear I remember one.

That's not how thicc works AND YOU KNOW IT.

Think she was Latina. Don't think there was a black one

As an Asian, I can't tell my own race from other Asians
Then again, I can't tell white people apart either

>black girl
Another tanned white girl.

But she is technically thick in the right context of the words. Thick ass and thick thighs.

>That ass
>THICC
Compared to WHAT?
I almost typed Skeletor, but then I remembered that even Skeletor is thiccer than that.

Spaghetti millenials

But that hips to ass ratio is on point. I know thick nigga, I was around during the great thick renaissance. I know what thick is and it's just not plump body mass all over. Thick originally referred to plump ass and thighs. And looking at her hips to ass and thighs ratio she's quite thick.

>plump ass and thighs
And she has neither of those.

>Literally 3 different hairstiles.
Was this a ''''''social experiment'''''' are you just a fucking retard?

She's does tho. She's thick.

>Being this blind

Can't wait for Slade to corrupt her

>posts three completely different examples of natural black hair
>"Haha, they're fucking clones of each other, am I right?"

This. I'm a lazy motherfucker who only goes to the barbershop two or three times a year, and it just gets impossible to make it look good after the first two months or so unless I go all in with the hair oils and such.

Where were you when everyone was freaking out about Riri and fitting her hair into her helmet?
