Gigantic

Disney apparently couldn't get the story to work.

How would you have fixed this Sup Forums?

Make it a porno

Vore, and lots of it!

>the film didn't even get far enough for a porn parody to be made.

Bullshit.
They scrapped to focus on their other shitty remakes and half-hearted sequels.
They know Coco is going to blow and don't want to risk doing another original property. Because Disney seems to be incapable of doing anything new so they churn out the same shit they know will sell toys.
Fuck that company.

I have no idea what the story is about, but i guess it's a Jack and the giant beanstalk ripoff.

The boy (Jack) gets ripped off by a typical Gypsie or Merchant and gets these "magical" beans. Frustrated, he decides to plant them, and it turns out that overnight, the beans have grown into a giant beanstalk. He climbs the beanstalk and finds himself in a cloudy world where giants live. He enters one of the houses of the giants, and discovers that it is inhabited by a single mother giant with a heroin addiction and a girl giant (Gina or something like that) who is roughly his age. Jack tries to hide in the room from Gina's mother while she's desperately looking for her last bag of smack. While evading the mother, he has no idea that the girl had actually found him. She decides to hide him from her mom in her room, and asks Jack what he is. Jack says he's a human blablabla from the world below, while Gina says that she's a giantess, and that she's been whoring herself since she was 9 to feed her mom's addiction. She invites jack to stay over, and the two quickly become friends. Suddenly they hear a noise from the living room, and it turns out that the mom's new "boyfriend" has come over for dinner. Gina quietly says that she doesn't like this boyfriend, because he makes her do things (she tears up and doesn't specify what kind of things). Suddenly they hear verbal fighting from the living room; turns out the mom had to look after the smack for him, but she lost it. The boyfriend now turns abusive, and starts badly beating up the mom. Gina is severely shocked by the abuse and becomes catatonic. Jack suddenly has an idea. He enters Gina's ear and crawls down into her brain, where he fuses with her mind to become a new being, one of the most powerful and evil beings that Azeroth has ever seen.

Huh, i can't make it work either.

I know people rave over Pixar but to me they've been in a rut for a while

>"We have a really great idea for a film.... How can we turn it into a mismatched couple road trip movie?"

But yeah, Disney have got a taste for billion dollar movies and I feel that they're going to play ti safe as fuck for a while and we'll get a return to the shittiness of the Eisner years where they just chased the easy dollar.

>I know people rave over Pixar but to me they've been in a rut for a while
Why do you think that is?
Disney owns Pixar completely now and they call the shots on what they produce.
Which is why Pixar is constantly doing sequels when back before the Disney buy out they were focused on doing original stories every year.
You're right Disney is going to play it safe so they can make a buck but at the expense of creating anything worth a damn.
This is why they have up and comers like Blue Sky putting out original films and taking the on.

But Lasseter heads this side of thing and therefore has oversight of Pixar. Maybe he's now getting muscled out and losing hands on control of these things now.

They probably wanted to do something Disney didn't approve of so it got canned.

I wouldn't rule it out.
It's not like Disney can't do some dirty shit and force him to fall their command.

Like be creative or make a decent movie

Can we all agree that Moana is the best animated Disney movie this decade?

Still wish we'd gotten the Edgar Wright Ant-man.

Was apparently a much tighter heist/buddy movie compared to the more formulaic marvel one we got.

How the fuck did Gunn get so much freedom with GotG?

I enjoyed Moana quite a bit but I do wish it had more cool mythology stuff and less CONSIDER THE COCONUT

From Disney Wiki

>Set in Spain during the Age of Exploration, the film followed Jack as he discovers a world of giants hidden within clouds. Jack befriends the female giant Inma, who's 11 years old, 60 feet tall, fiery, feisty and a lot to control" and treats him like a living doll, Greno said. Meanwhile, the antagonists, Storm Giants, stand at 120 feet.

Yeah...I got nothing OP.

>when you try to mix really well BUT in order!: History stuff, Jack and the Beanstalk, Gulliver's Travels, and Dungeons and Dragons in a lightheart adventure
This wasn't original nor interesting

Making it Jack and the Beanstalk-esque was stupid. Nobody has liked that story or concept since the late 80s.
