Western comics?

Hello can somebody explain to me why western comics as a whole are such a complete fucking joke?

i mean that panel is a joke so.....

Very desperate for an answer here...

You're acting like Anime doesn't get tremendously silly as well. Hell, almost all manga and anime have that one moment where a character spazes out over boobs.

Sorry forgot picture.

I knew it. I fucking knew people would start spamming these panels out of context and take them at face value instead of realizing that they're PARODIES of SJWs and that they are in fact the villains of the book that get beaten up and arrested.

You're trying way too hard.

it's wild to me somehow this got people from both sides of the political spectrum mad at Spencer.

Because you're either foreign or retarded. Either way you don't understand satire/parody

This is industry-level, professional-level writing? From the same guy who thought it would be a good idea for Captain America to be a Hydra agent, then got so mad after being called out that he made a bunch of characters that amount to "haha are you triggered? U mad? Epic trolled!"

Have any of you faggots even read Gruenwald's Captain America run? This run is a big throwback to it. Each villain of that run is an ideology to an extreme. Serpent Society is unions to an extreme. Superia is feminism to an extreme. Americop is corrupt authority to an extreme. Nick Spenser is doing the same sort of homage in his run with the villains, and having a group of college kids being extreme Tumblr is part of that, as they are trying to assassinate a right wing speaker. Jesus fuck, it's like you're not expecting political jargon from a book called Captain America.

It's literally just marvel.

Don't forget Flag-Smasher, the radical globalist that wants to remove all borders.

That doesn't make it any better. I hate comics that beat you over the head with politics, even if it's politics I agree with. Why does real world politics have any place in a fictional universe?

>Have any of you faggots even read Gruenwald's Captain America run?
I have. Doesn't mean I'm gonna read whatever this is. New Warriors?

It's funny, Nick Spencer is a shit writer for wankers, but he executed this troll on the anti-SJW crowd very effectively. Folks are triggered as fuck.

I don't like it because it's, simply put, very bad writing. Whatever political stance you may have, you've got to admit it's as subtle as a brick and about as dumb.

I haven't read Gruenwald, your summary sounds interesting, but a good idea can fall completely flat with a bad execution.

Consider Dredd: he's a ridicolous parody of fascistic societies all right, but there's some depth to it, there's at least an attempt to do something more than just building a strawman and laughing at it.

I'm alright with political jargon: just make it well written political jargon. This shit's just bad.

>posts out of context comic panel
>"HURR COMICS SUCK DUDE AMIRITE"
The worst part is this exact thread is going to be repeated for the next fucking week before you faggots find some tweets that are vaguely related to comics so you can kill actual discussion with your shitposting.

the only joke here is you

Superior Foes was fun .

Feel like he'd be decent if he just put the politics aside.

That pic makes me think of joan cornella

THAT'S NOT EVEN WHAT TRIGGER WARNING MEANS.

YOU TRYING TO PARODY SOMEONE YOU DON'T EVEN UNDERSTAND.

IT TAKES 5 SECONDS TO GOOGLE WHAT TRIGGER WARNING MEANS.

I say at least try to look it up. It's the same run that introduced Crossbones, the Serpent Society, D-Man, Diamondback, and several other Cap staples. It is an 11 year run.

Cap's probably the biggest Marvel hero I've read the least of. Only the Brubaker run, which was fine.

Got an insane backlog, but sure, I'll put that in the list too.

1st) They're the villains.

2nd) it's parody.

More like old pornaleff and older pornaleff imarigth HAHAAHAHAHAHA i fucking hate part 5

Keep in mind, the tone is wildly inconsistent. You can go from issues where Captain America being a werewolf to Diamondback being assaulted and raped.

You have shit taste.

So it goes from horror to comedy at the drop of a hat, huh?

>parody
No it's an old guy using words he doesn't because he thinks those are the words that the people he doesn't like use, there's no satire because he clearly doesn't understand his opposition. he's just asshurt because tumblr didn't like captain hydra.

Part 5 is great if you mentally remove giorno from all scenes.

>IBN4 Sup Forumsmblr isn't real.

>Hello can somebody explain to me why western comics as a whole are such a complete fucking joke?
all comic's are, it's not supposed to be the deepest thing ever, as much as there are great examples of comics that are well done forms of art.

Also, the comics that have the greatest traction keep resetting to keep their status quo, while the ones that try to tell a complete story never get any traction or they don't get the right team of people in charge of making it

The jokes is, the writer wanted to trigger Sup Forums and similar communities. And damn, did it work. They're a whinier bunch and even more thin-skinned than the tumblerinas they so despise.

>MARVEL IS COMICS MARVEL IS COMICS MARVEL IS COMICS MARVEL IS COMICS

When will people fucking stop this shit? Ever?

reading western superhero comics and declaring that western comics as a whole are a joke is like turning on the radio and saying all music is shit.

The last guy who posted this exact same thread linked the Sup Forums thread he pulled them off. Most of them realized it was satire without the context.

It's just a few dumbfuck people is all, not a cross-board problem.

I'm sorry for being mean to you spencer.

Marvel and DC and OP's specific image is the worst case of Marvel doing it seeing how it satire.

It's a weird run. Especially when pedophilia is brought up.

It's one fucking comic you dumb kike.

>That doesn't make it any better. I hate comics that beat you over the head with politics, even if it's politics I agree with

Fair enough. As long as you acknowledge comics have been political outlets since their conception.

>Why does real world politics have any place in a fictional universe?

Because nearly every fictional universe to date have pulled inspiration from real world political crisis.

>Why does real world politics have any place in a fictional universe?

Are you fucking stupid? Because fiction has almost done this exclusively. Like V for Vendetta and Watchmen

I dropped Spencer's books, mostly for economic reasons, but also because he was such a wang during the election season, but this spamming faggot is gonna goad me into picking them up again.

Spencer is clearly a gan of Gruenwald, I don't care of his shit is obviously political, even if it doesnt really represent my views. Viper was hilarious and based. Red Skull has never been better, so what if the villain is saying stuff I like, he's still tryin to murder people, which is wrong. I still like Sam, and Steve keikaku'ing all over the MU is glorious.

But Joaquin has to go back.

I don't know why anyone bothers going to twitter. Nothing good ever comes of it, even if they're not actually being as terrible as the standout examples. I think there's one artist I haven't lost respect for by seeing their personal tumblr/twitter/internet-shout-box. I still like the work of a lot of artists, but they're such fucking drama queens.

It's always nice to hear from informed and reasonable muggas.
