Agreed

Love have rich back but it's made by how good the relationship between the two of them is

The champions were written decently for the few pages they were there. Can this guy replace Waid please?

>great writer
>great character

I wish the rest of Marvel caught onto this.

The Champions were actually kinda charming and endearing in Nova.

No with that art

Nova and USAvengers are probably the best thing to come out of Marvel NOW(er) so far. Ghost Rider has been good, but the comic focuses too much on setting up Circle of Four 2.0 when Robbie's daily life is infinitely more interesting then ANOTHER legacy hero team. Hulk is also way better then I expected, but Mosiac, Venom, and Wasp have been the weakest of the new NOW(er) books.

Here's to hoping Marvel can mange to not be shit this 2017.

Agreed
It's because it's not waid writing it as how he thinks teenagers should act and getting it horribly wrong.

They've managed to do what dc did with superman in rebirth, and nail the things people liked about rider originally, but at the same time created a new I threshing relationship with rich and Sam. Really enjoyable desu

Just reminding Sup Forums to get your preorders in: amazon.com/Nova-Vol-Resurrection-Jeff-Loveness/dp/1302905295/

Dr Strange and Sorcerers Supreme is very good too.
Top tier art and interesting characters. Even future Wiccan is surprisingly tolerable.

Somebody really needs to edit another piece with some Miles and Kamala porn censored in the background to really make it complete.

Marvel publishing a good comic? Dead by issue 11.

I know you're just trying to help, but if you keep this up, you'll eventually only generate some massive backlash.

He got everyone tone-perfect.
Well, Cyclops, Miles and Viv didn't really have to show it, but Loveness is a Cycfag and anything would be better than the Miles and Viv we have now.

>forgetting Foolkiller
Shame on you.
Also I like Mosaic.

>guaranteed canceled by #12 at best

That's just how it works with Marvel now, sadly.

So great having Dick Rider back.

This.
Place I get my comics from will slip in the Marvel previews, and even if I see stuff I like I don't consider buying cause I know its guaranteed gone after 12 issues or less.
With all the events they do you'd think they'd at least have something ongoing beforehand, that's kinda the point of an event, to shake up things.

Seriously guys, put your ">buying comics" aside for a bit, even if it's just for this book. Vote with your wallets. Marvel needs to know that there's still an audience for comics like this. Not all of their readers want cutesy-quirky "#YAAAAS QUEEN SLAY" shit like Unstoppable Wasp and Mockingbird, but they don't know that because no one's buying good comics anymore

>I hate everything about that sentence
how many times has Marvel used some form of that. I just keep remember War Machine in Avengers Initiative saying something along the lines of "there's not one part of the sentence I approve of"

Would have been better if they hadn't needlessly killed off Rich's dad. He was the only character with two living parents who were married and cared about him.

Reminder Scarlet Spider got 26 issues people.

Best thing Rich can do for Sam is to convince him to stay in space and as far away from the dumpster fire that is Earth.

And another with Viv-Chulk-Kidclops threesome.

>YAAAAS QUEEN SLAY

This phrase awakens some sort of primal, animalistic rage in me and I don't know why. I just want to hurt something every time I see it.

Fuck em. You have to support books that you like if you want to see more likable content produced. Ten bucks for a trade preorder is half of what it costs to buy 5 floppies.

>cameo of Chapions is much much better than the actual book.

Richard is literally old Marvel stuck in nuMarvel.

>Nova and USAvengers are probably the best thing to come out of Marvel NOW(er) so far.
You're forgetting Foolkiller and Ultimates^2 (though that being a relaunch of Ultimates, not sure if it counts.)

And bless him for it.
I worry it won't take editorial long to notice it and "correct" the situation.

B-but if I wait until release day, I can get it for $8 from IST!

>Kamala hangin with Miles and carrying him around
Samfags btfo again.

Im kinda sad his dad died a few months before he came back, but I think they're setting up for a scene where he sees his dad in the after life and they have a heart to heart.
Would be something good to do with him seeing dead people everywhere

Does anyone really want any of them together?

Kamala has Bruno.

Sam has like three or four space babes waiting for him.

Miles has... Ganke I guess?

Let them have their own love interests.

>Miles has
Whoever Bendis wants him to dick.

>Ultimates^2
Not with that art, man.
Ewing's art only barely makes up for it.

>Kamala has Bruno

Bruno hates her guts now for getting him blown up and fucked off to Wakanda forever.

They could never have been together anyway because Bruno isn't Muslim and Kamala's parents forbid her from dating outside the faith.

>Kamala has Bruno.
Not any more.
>Miles has... Ganke I guess?
Miles has Spider-Gwen

You know. The idea of God Doom's Thors patrolling universes and executing every cunt that hops them seems better and better.

>Muslim gets westerner blown up
POTTTERY

Miles is getting with Gwen? It's starting to feel like he's just repeating Peter's accomplishments

Foreman's art looks good on some pages and bad for others. The problem is largely the coloring.

That's fair, but Foreman is coloring it himself, so it's his fault either way.

Oh yeah, Foreman is a garbage colorist. He insists on using digital coloring and overusing gradiants.

All Sam seems to have going for him is some girl from his school.
They seem to be going for Rich and Gamora first, which I'm pretty excited for.

Whoever writes for Sam seems to forget or ignore whoever he hooked up with in the previous writer's run, so they give him someone new.

Theoretically, Sam could become the Captain Kirk of Teen Marvel.

There was some goth chick from Vol 5 that he never hooked up with that vanished
I don't remember him getting with anyone in Vol6, but I don't remember much from that dumpster fire.

I'm almost waiting for him to finally hook up with Kamala, only for every one of his previous squeezes to come back like it's that one episode of Gravity Falls.

Welcome to Miles Morales, next stop complaining about said accomplishments.

That's literally all black arach is good for.

RIP in peace time displaced Namorita. Not a single writer remembers that you happened.

This page alone has won me over. Count me as interested.

No one knows what happened to anyone. Like Rich's original Nova trainees and Robbie just kind of vanished as well.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuck Dick and Gamora they were literally booty calls. Namorita gets plucked from the time line and they have a great reunion and then he dies and she hasn't been seen since. Wtf is Namorita doing in space

Yeah but that was during a time when small miracles like X-Men Legacy still happened. The very first Marvel Now may have been cancer, but it was still early stage and treatable. Now we're in terminal condition here and looking back at the good times right before the diagnosis came in.

Unstoppable Wasp is kinda cute.

Agent Venom got near 50, longest running Venom comic before Bendis aborted it.

>They could never have been together anyway because Bruno isn't Muslim and Kamala's parents forbid her from dating outside the faith
>People defend this religion

>Circle of Four 2.0
It's New Fantastic Four 3.0 you casual

This.

BUY THE COMIC

...

>Hating the art
What do you want? Photorealism? It's pretty good, actually.

...

Sometimes I wonder if I'm the only one reading Occupy Avengers. It's an old school book with small superheroics across the country that gives a lot of space to grow their characters step by step. And people say that Foolkiller is good too, and Unworthy Thor: but those are minis, I think.

I think Rich and Gamora can make it work this time. You're right about them, but goddamn they were a hot couple.
It is frustrating that everyone at Marvel thinks Namorita dies in Thanos Imperative when it ends with her alive on earth

Spider-Man 2099 is going to reach 21, at least. I'm hoping it goes further.

ill wait to see if we get a hardcover like the ms marvel trades

I was about to drop marvel and comics completely for a while due to how many characters I just don't feel care about. Like Peter Parker is in about mess Kaine is soon to die and waid has been handling Sam terribly. But the new nova with rich it's making me enjoy atleast one current run. Hoping for the best.

It's painful how much wasted potential there is in the Champions book. They've got a great cast of characters and a decent enough premise, but the writing is just so bad.

I like it too, but it helps this was in the first Nova comic I ever read. I know they're not themselves, but that's hot when you're a teen reading a trade from the library.

Thanks, but lets do ourselves a favor.

Along with that gesture the aliens are trying to telepathically tell the humans "this is a container that holds liquid", again. Man, Terrans sure are dumb.

RESPECT

OK, you're right the phalanx arc and their interactions during it were pretty great. He loved her but couldn't stand her disregard for life and she tried desperately not to fall for him while hating that his goodness made her feel guilty. FUCK I don't know which ship I want to happen now

>Rich feels even more alienated than ever on Earth because he barely recognizes it and no one remembers him
>In space? Everyone remembers what he's done for them. Everyone respects/fears the name Richard Rider of Earth.

This book needs to succeed.

Yeah, I was just looking up that issue too.

...

...

>we're already in the phase where everyone is in love with the book
What will be the issue that's not so great or contains a stupid line that's going to be taken out of context and shitposted to death to troll the threads and convince casuals that the book is in fact shit and Sup Forums to turn its back to Loveness?
I say it'll be around #5 or #6.

Also, from GotG #1

Had loveness ever had an issue with me me speak or sjw garbage before?

I want Rich and Gamora to hook up again, and I think most people feel the same way.
They'll probably be broken up when the GotG sequel comes out.

#4

Why? From everything we've seen Gunn thinks Gamora and Peter aren't meant to be. Seriously though she works best when she's not romantic with anybody, but if anyone it should be Adam or Richard and it definitely won't be Peter.

Side note, Zoe Saldana is hot but for some reason comics Gamora is much hotter, even in her nuMarvel costumes

Is this ultimate nova or 616 Nova?

616
He's back.

>They'll probably be broken up when the GotG sequel comes out.
Why? You seriously want Gamora to go with Quill? No matter how much you like the Guardians movie, everyone agreed that Gamora/Quill was the most retarded and forced part of the movie. Imagine how forced it would have to be to put it in the comics. Need I remind you Gamora hates Quill more tan anyone in the Galaxy except Thanos?

Plus, even Bendis shipped Gamora and Nova.

Did you just completely skip the first sentence?

Trailer makes it look like he's pushing them together. I don't know if Quill and Gamora will end up together, but the dude writing GotG killed War Machine because of the Civil War trailer

Who did that art?

It looks like Rivera, but I didn't know he was doing interior again

When does Sam and Evan Sabahnur get together?

>but the dude writing GotG killed War Machine because of the Civil War trailer
>Imma give this direction to the story because the movies do it

Why do we still act like he's a good writer? Why do we still act like he cares what he writes, or that what he writes is good or has a theme or point to it? He doesn't give a shit.

Who on Sup Forums is giving you the impression this board likes Bendis?
Even Bendis is aware this place hates him

Hell thats cheaper than going to a movie is now... theres really no excuse if its a book you really do enjoy.

Let's not forget that he did a 180 on Quill's personality, changed his weapon, turned Drax into a low-rent Hercules, and turned Knowhere into Tatooine because he thought that's how the movie was gonna play out.

True. Let me rephrase.

Why does the public do all the things I listed?

I mean, I know capes are basically the fast food of comics, and shit is made for money, but I'd at least like to buy a book that feels like they gave a shit.
Which explains why I buy so few of the recent ones.

Javier Rodriguez
He was on Spider Woman before that
Also did pic related (Axis Hobgoblin)

Public, I'm not sure.
I guess if you have really low standards and getting into comics because of the movie bandwagon, Bendis is appealing. Plus, he seems like a nice guy and most his writing is "progreasive", so that probably wins over a lot of normies.

Yeah another thing is if youre just getting into comics and havent read a truly good run on something you have no bearing on whats "good" or "bad" (obviously subjective), so as long as its something you like reading you don't think anything of it.

which really isnt a bad thing either, but it does kind of explain things a bit.

>giving a shit about best Nova
>ever again

No, the cosmic Marvel I loved is dead and gone, and on its ashes stands pale imitations of a once great opera.

I will never care about cosmic marvel beyond that.
