It's art, you're supposed to think it over

english people are worse than niggers

It's garbage. The film surfed on controversy because there is a gang rape scene and violence. Other than that it's absolutely worthless

Nobody does. They just pretend to like it because it's Kubrick.

but aren't they based on american marines?

JUST TURN OFF YOU'RE BRAIN DUDE LMAO

This.

Very basic le flawed system meme. Mostly the music and cinematography is what makes it worth watching. That and that commie slang or whatever is amusing.

its about how evil fascism is because it uses violence 2deep4me

It's about free will retards

more like free shill

I like Kubrick as much as the next guy, probably more (2001 literal master piece), but I don't like this movie.
I only watched it once, so I don't know if there's some 2deep4me hidden meaning that makes it amazing, but I don't feel like watching it again because it was very unpleasant - perhaps that's the point I dunno.....

Whats there to get? It's made by a genius who had free reigns and a large budget to do what he wanted. It's sensory overload. Visual pleasure? Max. Sex? Max. Violence? Max. Music? Max.

I think it's probably his 2nd best movie, and definitely his most underrated one.

he was a murderer until they fitted him with a clockwork orange that stopped him from being dangerous as long as it was wound up.

virus

What's the difference from watching rape porn and snuff movies? That film was probably some sort of experiment to see how people react to this kind of imagery. And guess what happens some crazies committed murders after watching it so they had to pull the movie out of the theaters.
I don't understand how you see a masterpiece in such a filthy movie that visually looks like shit.

...

It's about how people deal with their basic animal urges. Alex is a child who submits to his instincts to be violent and fuck anything with a vagina and manipulate people to his benefit. The cat lady is obsessed with sexuality but treats it as a work of art. The priest puts his faith in God to explain human morality.

Because Kubrick didn't include the final chapter in the movie.

Basically it's about growing up and how violence is something in every young generation that they'll eventually move away from. It's against taking extreme action to try to curtail violent tendencies in teenagers. That all becomes clear in the final chapter when the main character finds that he no longer cares for violence and just wants to settle down like the rest of his gang did, but the hack didn't bother reading it since it wasn't in the American version of the book. I remember the author was livid about it and made a stage production of the book that included a scene where someone that was made to look like Kubrick was beaten up.

>muh source material
>muh shitty stage play!

I like the movie, but it's just a bit stupid to omit the part that gives the story an actual purpose and not even replace it with anything

ITT: so many plebs my brain hurts now

It's still one of the best representations of how the future will look like. I also sometimes watch it like a music video

Violence begets violence and a violent society creates violent people.

>I also sometimes watch it like a music video
Here you have the type of fans of this movie. Complete degenerates who think it's fun because violence and sex. Watch it with music to make sure your brain isn't mobilized at any moment

>(2001 literal master piece)
>but I don't like this movie.
Reddit is that way, friend

Having a message is one thing, doing a good movie conveying that message is another one.

>I don't get it
>the priest literally explains it halfway into the film
What a fucking pleb

it's weird which equates to good these days

>ultraviolence
>not really that violent

wonder what it would have to be if it were made today

>"Oh my brothers"
>not actually his brothers

Is this a serious post?

Reminder that the greatest Sci-fi film of all time is A Clockwork Orange, and not 2001.

It's about how a flawed society creates criminals and that criminals create a flawed society.

Not really. You can watch Wagner operas over and over too for the same reason, even if the content might be brutal or violent. Beethoven is one of the greatest things in this film, I guess you just misunderstood what the user meant

I gonna help you. A Clockwork Orange is a sequel to 2001: A Space Odysse, both films takes place in the same universe.

WELLY WELLY WELLY WELLY WELL

I like the underlying theme how being well cultured, in this Alex being obsessed wit Beethoven, doesn't do anything for your morals and you can still be a huge piece of shit. That was also expanded upon in Eyes Wide Shut.

The movie portrays a dystopian future in which people are de-sensitized to violence

At the time the movie came out, it was so controversial that the UK just banned the film to perform damage control

We're now at that point, I suppose
