The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected)

I havnt seen a film since 2009

I wanted to pretend that a fairly unknown film like "Three Billboards" is the best film of this year for muh patrician points, but BR2049 is really a special kind of achievement in this day and age and no indie character drama can be even compared to it.

mother!

this was honestly great. didn't get what the weird porno parts meant tho

Yeah, I think they underdeveloped the granddaughter character really badly given that they suddenly wanted to make her important in the last segment.

She was great as an extension of Sandler's character arc, but it just felt like a weird transition

Battle of the Sexes

Unironically perfect cinematography for a period piece and great performances.

yeah, totally agree. other than that tho the film was excellent. one of, if not the best performance by adam sandler i've seen and he had really great chemistry with ben stiller i thought. it's always refreshing i find for actors like them to be in more serious films like this. the comedy was very dark, just how i like it (and how i like my men). very good balance of comedy and emotions overall

This guy gets it.

Pic related was one of the most hilarious, heartwarming, and depressing sequences I've seen all year.

I just wish the sister had been given more to do. She was very engaging in the little bits she was given.

that scene was so good. also the argument scene was excellent

Blade Runner of course

minor Baumbach

Literally kill yourselves.

Well the only movie of 2017 I've seen is King Arthur Legend of the Sword so I'll say the best is King Arthur Legend of the Sword
