I like how Gordon's career is founded on criticism, but HEAVEN FORBID that anyone criticize him! He'll even threaten to shut your restaurant down if he catches a whiff of dissatisfaction. It's incredible how lazy the man has become. He was even better when he was on Hell's Kitchen. Now he prefers his thinly veiled "show" where he slouches around from hotel to hotel, constantly nitpicking about the service while he comfortably sits on his ass. Amazing.

The main issue with the burger in the OP is the size of the bun. It's like half the diameter of the patty and the other crap. Sure, he's being a bit over-dramatic for the camera, but you cannot compare it to his "perfect burger". You can't cut that monstrosity the same way bcause the bun is so undersized it would just fall apart and you would just end up with a burger salad. They make a point about it in the clip too. They were out of the fitting huge buns so they used a regular burg bun

I love moments like this. It never happens in the last few seasons of any of his shows. Fucking boring now that he just gives them the same "fresh, rustic yah" menu for every restaurant, instead of trying to work with the chef and see what they can do.

I wondered this too. I haven't watched much Hotel Hell yet though. But it seems like he goes in to a hotel, and then focuses on the hotel's kitchen and acts like that's the biggest part of running a hotel. I know he's a chef, so that's his wheelhouse, but it just seems odd to think about
