Ex-Soviet here. I moved to the USA from the fallen Soviet Union in 1995 right before the Bill Clinton sex scandal.

AMA (pretty much about how communism and socialism is fucked up)

How big was the black market?

What was your first American meal?

do white Russian QTs like mexicans?

Will I get to bed some QT blondies with my Spanish?

> American
> something something black
> immediately ask how big it is

>How big was the black market?
Pretty big, actually.

Fraud was rampant, but crackdowns were pretty harsh - however you could pay authorities off and get away with it.

My father used to make anti-soviet documentaries and he was literally disowned by the authorities and they treated him horribly.

>What was your first American meal?

I was so surprised to see fast food on every corner.

First day I went to the local supermarket and saw a Pepsi and Coca-Cola everywhere and I was wowed.

First meal was McDonalds (at the time we were poor and I thought that was the greatest food ever).

Would you be happy if Vladimir Putin was assassinated.

>do white Russian QTs like mexicans?

Russians by nature are very stoic and nationalistic -- so we like to stick with our own kind, even in a modern republic like USA.

>Will I get to bed some QT blondies with my Spanish?

Maybe if you visit a touristy part of Russia, or somewhere like Crimea. But in Moscow or St. Petersburg, no.

They would care more about your wallet than your ethnicity.

>Would you be happy if Vladimir Putin was assassinated.

I really have no opinion on Putin because he's not part of the Soviet Union.

Russia (in it's current form) is still a young Republic and I think if Putin is replaced (whether by assassination or other means), someone worse will come in.

His approval ratings in Russia are quite high, so that says something about his acceptance in Russia.

Thanks Ex soviet bro
Dream of mine to impress and date a Russian lady

I love Russia and its strong sense of nationalism. I suppose its because its been romanticized to me through media of hardened men fighting for MUH MOTHERLAND.

Regardless, I respect a strong national identity and sense

Do you visit Russia, or do you harbor resentment for what previous governments have done to your fellow man?

kek

Is KGB subversion in the United States the cause of why our nation is where it is at today?

Jews are all behind Communism, correct?

what's with all the abandoned shit? who just leaves a space shuttle to rot?

Are you Jewish? Probably not, since you don't appear to hate Russia.

Why do Jews from Russia hate Russia so much, by the way? It's almost pathological.

what did soviets under the iron curtain think about amerikkka?

How can you claim you know what communism and socialism is, if late-stage USSR was nothing near that?

This is just a very common practice, hell even the US does this.

It'll cost more money to tear shit down and try to scrap or do something with the materials that have already been spent and used.

Better to take the loss than to try and figure out what the fuck you CAN do with it.
And when you have the government dealing with everything who else could you sell this shit except scrap it at your own expense

I work with a guy who came here from Moscow in 1994, he never plans to go back, not even to visit.

Do you visit? He says the police there can just ask for your documents any time they want, and when they see he has a Russian passport issued in the USA, they'll "misplace" it until he offers them Benjamin or two to jog their memory

This could be BS but I once heard about a guy from the USSR being brought to the states and to a grocery store in Texas, and he thought he was being tricked into looking at propaganda from how much food was laying around. Is there any credibility or believability to this?

what do you think of commieboos? what would you say if you met one of those commie teenagers IRL?
rootless cosmopolitans

What have you been doing? I assume repairing salvage luxury cars with all the other Russians.

>His approval ratings in Russia are quite high, so that says something about his acceptance in Russia.
Are they really, though? My coworker says people are just scared to say they don't like him. Do you keep in touch with family and friends over there?

see

Very true. Always funny to see an entire Union started by the jew in order to collapse Russia try and insult the concept of feeding others instead of getting fucked in the ass by rich while proclaiming your "freedumz"

From where in the Soviet union?

Are you that guy that was trolling Ocuppy Wall Street movement on the streets?

If yes, you are awesome.

>Dream of mine to impress and date a Russian lady

I'm sure you can find some "Russian bride" style girl if she comes from a poor family and is a bit desperate, but decent Ruski girls won't go for this.

>Do you visit Russia, or do you harbor resentment for what previous governments have done to your fellow man?

I haven't been there since I moved unfortunately.
My life is finally at a decent place where I could probably take a vacation and visit muh-motherland.

I do have resentments on how they treated my father, who was an artist and wanted to express himself, and it's probably similar now as supression is fairly a big thing in Russia. This is why I love the USA :)

>Is KGB subversion in the United States the cause of why our nation is where it is at today?

My uncle was actually in the KGB back in the day. They used to run ops against westernization and he used to tell me stories about infiltrators in the USA....but he would stop mid way and change the conversation.

I assume there is KGB subversion involved in USA nowdays....the CIA does the same thing (Look at any toppled 3rd world country and you'll see).

>Jews are all behind Communism, correct?

When aren't they behind anything?

>what's with all the abandoned shit? who just leaves a space shuttle to rot?

Budgets run out, etc.

I grew up next to an abandoned metro and it was actually creepy as hell. When their budget ran out, they abandoned EVERYTHING. There was a 100 meter deep hole in the earth and we would go inside of it (it was dangerous as hell) and all high rise tractors were left there for years and we used to steal the parts, like motors and stuff. Really depressing stuff, if you can imagine.

What is your opinion of the US media in this election compared to what the media was like in the Soviet Union

>there was a 100 meter deep hole in the earth and we would go inside of it

fuck man I'd be so sketched

>Are you Jewish? Probably not, since you don't appear to hate Russia.

No, thank God.

>Why do Jews from Russia hate Russia so much, by the way? It's almost pathological.

Because Jews are only loyal to other Jews. They don't have a sense of nationalism -- ie, a love for their country because they have no country or source of origin.

This has happened in everywhere they lived. I think they've found refuge in the United States because the West was supposed to be a "Pitchfork in soil" kind of deal where you can be anyone you want to be -- this is why Hollywood and movies and entertainment exists -- because they're always running away from reality of being Jews.

>what did soviets under the iron curtain think about amerikkka?

They hated Capitalism and they had a sense of "community".

The USA had "too much freedom" for them.

Everyone in Soviet Russia was given a free home, a guaranteed job, education and healthcare -- there was no "free market." All of it was left up to the government.

>Do you visit? He says the police there can just ask for your documents any time they want, and when they see he has a Russian passport issued in the USA, they'll "misplace" it until he offers them Benjamin or two to jog their memory

I haven't visited since I moved here, but plan to hopefully in the next year or two. But knowing how Russians are, I don't think I'll enjoy it that much when I have the option of traveling to better countries (ha!)

Thankfully I have relatives in high government there, I'd be treated well when I land.

>This could be BS but I once heard about a guy from the USSR being brought to the states and to a grocery store in Texas, and he thought he was being tricked into looking at propaganda from how much food was laying around. Is there any credibility or believability to this?

I wouldn't be surprised. To be honest, when I landed here first thing we did was go to the supermarket. It blew me out of my mind that so much shit was everywhere.

We barely had access to a damn banana back in USSR, or even 1 Snickers bar. We used to wait in breadlines for hours, and from 1992-1995 we barely had electricity.

>what do you think of commieboos? what would you say if you met one of those commie teenagers IRL?

I would teach them that Capitalism IS THE defacto system that works.

If you're a lazy fuck, then get the fuck outta here and move to some gay ass cucked country like Sweden or some shit and apply for amnesty.

>What have you been doing? I assume repairing salvage luxury cars with all the other Russians.

You play GTA IV too much, my Ameribro.
I'm doing great in my field, actually am pretty well known in my industry. And no I don't do any fraud, I like living within the law (where applicable).

>Are they really, though? My coworker says people are just scared to say they don't like him. Do you keep in touch with family and friends over there?

It's their country, why does every country have to be like the USA?

I do keep in touch, my whole mothers side is still there and we Skype/Facetime from time to time. I have QT 3.14 3rd cousins, but don't wanna talk about that -- its weird.

>From where in the Soviet union?

Moscow.

>Are you that guy that was trolling Ocuppy Wall Street movement on the streets?

Haha, no.

>What is your opinion of the US media in this election compared to what the media was like in the Soviet Union

The U.S. media is owned by corporations. Corporations own politicians.

The Russian media is owned by corporations which is owned by the government.

What is the difference, really?

The difference is, you can't talk shit about high-ranking people on Russian TV without being shaken down.

In USA, it's not as bad as that, but still there's trouble if you're messing with a high-ranking politician like Hillary Clinton. (The body counts make Putin blush).

How old were you when you left your homeland?

I bet you have lots of life experience with communism and why it is shitty. I get fascinated by the stories I read from North Korea and I bet that USSR was not very different. Why don't you create a channel on jewtube telling those stories?

i guess both systems have their faults, but the idea of not having to worry about finding a job, affordable housing, and healthcare must have been nice. In our system, we are forced to buy health insurance but we are not gaurenteed a job. Housing is a scam to lock people into 30 year mortgages that make you end up paying 2 or 3x the original value. Student debt is a trillion dollar industry based on the same idea, but there is no guarenteed job either.

what was the most common food in the USSR?
for example tacos in Mexico and burgers in the US

As an American socialist I am sorry for our capitalists destroying your nation.
When we achieve one world government will will finally be able to usher in a better age. We just need to destroy all international borders.

Kekled myself

What was health care like?
Accessibility, wait time, quality. Average wait time for basic health care.

How much were you isolated from western music, books and movies?

Kid of ex-Soviet immigrants here.
On a scale of 1-10, how embarrassing is it for you to see millennials unironically embrace communism?

How close do you think we are to Civil War 2?

Cant tell if bait, or just retarded...

>How old were you when you left your homeland?

15, but I remember a lot of it.

>I bet you have lots of life experience with communism and why it is shitty. I get fascinated by the stories I read from North Korea and I bet that USSR was not very different. Why don't you create a channel on jewtube telling those stories?

I just remember run-down schools, strict teachers, and "forced rules" by adults.

It was really freeing moving to the states.

I highly doubt North Korea is the same as USSR. NK is more of a fascist state where 1 leader rules the poor (which is 99%).

In USSR, it was closer to capitalism in a sense where you still had people with higher paying jobs, but of course it wasn't a free society like the USA.

>i guess both systems have their faults, but the idea of not having to worry about finding a job, affordable housing, and healthcare must have been nice. Student debt is a trillion dollar industry based on the same idea, but there is no guarenteed job.

I always say, Capitalism is not for everyone, especially for poor blacks and Mexicans. I would say about 70 million Americans would be better off in a place where it's closer to communism.

There is plenty of social programs in USA that take care of the poor, but not to the extend of lets say Sweden or a full communist state like USSR was. Capitalism is more about "bettering" yourself and if you truly are ambitious and "see the light" you can be anyone here and success rate is exponential.

Student debt is expensive, but if you're smart and don't go into studies where there is no residual payoff, then you'll be fine. If you're trying to "create a new path" (ie do your own thing) it will be 5-10x harder, but the best and strongest person wins....this is why I like the USA so much.

>what was the most common food in the USSR?

If you mean street food, then piroshki with potatoes (old grandmas used to make it on the street and it tasted pretty damn good). The smell brings me nostalgia.

looks tasty

You are referring to one of the last Premiers that ruled the Soviet Union. I believe he said something to the effect of "When I realized it was not a trick I knew that we were beaten".

do you miss your home? have you considered going back to Russia?

>As an American socialist I am sorry for our capitalists destroying your nation.

I prefer Capitalism...but young people in USA (especially this season) prefer Socialism, OR what it represents on paper.

BUT actually being born in a communist country, any time I see a young person talk about Socialism, I school them about how bad it is once a human being becomes dependent on the government for their daily needs. I can usually change minds within a couple of minutes.

>When we achieve one world government will will finally be able to usher in a better age. We just need to destroy all international borders.

This smells like bait, because this is what Obama wants.

Removing borders means you lose national identity. When you lose national identity you lose self-reference and your history.

History is important, and a "remixed" history turns things into shit -- look at the movie industry and how far left the USA is right now rather than more centrist. Do you really think not having an identity is a good thing?

>Kid of ex-Soviet immigrants here.
>On a scale of 1-10, how embarrassing is it for you to see millennials unironically embrace communism?

I try to school them if I see any, unless they try to hit me over the head with a whiskey bottle or something.

Almost all schools are SJW breeding grounds and when you're young, socialism looks good in books and on paper.

In reality it's a terrible system -- and with the wrong people in power, it can really turn people into drones and slaves.

>How close do you think we are to Civil War 2?

Very close if we keep a similar president in power for the next 8 years.

This is the reason the Founding Fathers kept presidential terms short -- to have change and give some power back to the people.

Survival of the fittest is the most fun part of America.

I'm an attorney by profession but also have an MBA. Whats fun about capitalism is, I can be an executive VP for a bank one day, and the attorney who handles the bankruptcy litigation the next.

Such a thing wouldn't be possible under communism

yeltsin

>do you miss your home? have you considered going back to Russia?

I really don't, but I do have nostalgia here and there. I'm proud to be American with Russian heritage.

>Survival of the fittest is the most fun part of America.

Yes, indeed.

The sad part, like I mentioned before, is that at least 70-80 million in the USA are not made for Capitalism and they shouldn't be here, to be honest. Not everyone has the IQ or survival skill to get out of a hole, so they need someone to tell them what to do and what to think (The government). This is why I think 4 years of Obama were enough, 8 years is too much.

>how communism and socialism is fucked up

Yeah but was your socialism DEMOCRATIC SOCIALISM?

It's kind of ironic how communism is meant for a low IQ society and capitalism is meant for a high IQ society.

You have more American spirit than full blooded 4th generation Americans my age are.
You're good people

>Yeah but was your socialism DEMOCRATIC SOCIALISM?

It's all the same thing.

When you have too much bureaucracy in government, it is human nature to suck the teat and leech off the working class.

There has to be a balance of sorts.

Also the United States is made up of too many cultures/backgrounds, it's impossible for it to be like a country like Sweden.

>It's kind of ironic how communism is meant for a low IQ society and capitalism is meant for a high IQ society.

When the mind is not used to it's full potential, it will be stuck in low IQ mode -- hence, a dumb society will keep it's people dumb. Give them bread sporadically and water, they'll slave away.

There is no doubt people take advantage of capitalism (Jews) but that doesn't mean it's not a good system. It's a vibrant society which welcomes competition and Darwinism.

>You have more American spirit than full blooded 4th generation Americans my age are.

I've seen some shit, bro.

I really don't think Chad from Phoenix, Arizona understands what the fuck socialism is and only watched some hipster YouTube video and had his retarded professor teach him that garbage for 1 semester.

Can confirm, Randall's is a southern texas grocery store chain.

>I really don't think Chad from Phoenix, Arizona understands what the fuck socialism is and only watched some hipster YouTube video and had his retarded professor teach him that garbage for 1 semester.

I should have also said Im 32 and did 6 years on a sub for some perspective.
I have seen what the indoctrination has done to the kids and it keeps being pushed at an earlier age. The media here no longer even tries to hide the fact that they are being paid to push a narrative that has no bearing in this country and social programs are being expanded to professional voters so much that its sickening.

We are so far in to 1984 mode that people dont even notice it anymore so long as the car and house payment are made and the safety net is growing to the point that "poor immigrants " dont even have to worry about being skilled to get a job or survive. There will be a tipping point soon and I hope we as a whole realize it before its far to late because its close.

Holy shit bro are you me? I too am an American of mexican blood who wants a russian lady and thinks this way about Russia

>I should have also said Im 32 and did 6 years on a sub for some perspective.

I don't mind if they teach kids in school to be free-thinkers because this society is about being a free thinker. But it's gotten to a point where it's extremely vicious if you're not on "their" bandwagon. Literally Nazi style propaganda level.

We got the fuck outta the USSR because of this.

Not everyone is a special snowflake, some people need to work on a damn factory line.

Also if USA stops "Making" things and it only becomes a service industry, what's going to happen to people between 40-60 years old?

Or people who don't want to go to school?

Having a degree now has zero relevance, before it used to be something worthwhile. I see people with MA's and PhD's working as baristas.

I don't believe you. I moved out of Ukraine in 2001ish. Tried McDonald's for the first time in Indonesia (waiting for transfer). Couldn't finish the cheese burger, didn't like it, fries were good. But when I settled in I fell in love with the happy meals. It's because I was so used to homemade nutritious food, processed food didnt taste good at first. It's funny how tastes change after a while

McDonalds or any fast food (besides maybe In-n-Out and Five guys) is disgusting to me now as I'm older and have had better food (to great food).

But when you're 15 and you lived in terrible conditions for 3 years from 1992 (fall of USSR) to 1995 with no power and long breadlines, McDonalds will taste good to you.

Also 2001 was better than 1995 in USSR.

What do you think of Stephen Bandera?

Im glad we are on the same page.

The service industry expansion is a huge problem. I live in the south and industry is basically non existent here but every fast food chain is hiring all the time. I also work as a programmer and have seen CS and IT grads who have never even used DOS and never heard of Linux. College degrees dont seem to be more than piece of paper that you spent 4 years of your life being more tolerant. I never went and simply bought books and used online guides to get where im at now and make a good living but even my job is being sent to india for them to build programs that dont scale and have more security holes than a chain link fence.

Its really why this election is so important and why Trump is in the cross hairs so much. The two party system has failed and its not just a choice between a Globalist socialist society and remnants of Nationalism. Globalism, as far as I see it will just lead to another dark age as its not sustainable no matter how to try to spin it.

Globalism is only good for the rich and super rich.

People think open borders means freedom for young people to travel around, it's complete bullshit.

Innovation comes from self-preservation and pouring this country with immigrants who are more than likely to work 5x harder than locals due to their citizenship status is ridiculous.

Why not figure out a way to make the people IN this country already to make them more successful straight out of school?

Maybe fix the public school system which is a total mess (I went to public school and got all F's)....when I started going to college I got all A's because I gave a shit as I grew older.

This an aspect of capitalism that we probably agree on, that if no one wants to do the job there will be a way around it. A perfect example is the cotton gin.
Importing millions of unskilled people to feed of already over stretched taxes is not the answer.

I used to work with a lot of Russian immigrants. They all feel the same way as op. This place is like 24 hour disneyland to them. They are so happy to be here.

So what is the most fucked up thing you have witnessed over there?

I was making a kek.

Been reading through the thread. You're a good dude. I dont mind immigration if it brings people like yourself to our great country.

>1st meal was mcdonalds

Funny thing is other countries say the same about us, so if everyone's saying the same nonsense, who's right?

Working at an electrical construction outfit. We had 3 Russians, 1 Ukrainian and 4 Kyrgyzstan is. The kyrgyzstanis would say they're Russians. The Russians would say "you are not Russian." Massive kyrgyzstani butthurt at this.

I know a guy from Russia in my college department. He said Putin was super popular for his first two terms, but now that he's back again some people are irked that he can't leave power.

He also said that rural Russians are more prone to propaganda, since a lot of non-urban communities have only two channels (one of which is news-oriented and pro-government) compared to the more diverse information sources in cities. Is there any validity to this? What's rural Russia like?

Oh, and one Moldovan. He went back to Moldova and brought me a bottle of Cognac. Best shit I ever tasted. First time I ever drank hard liquor for the taste.

Did the Ukrainian say that he's not Russian and Russians got pissed off?

The Ukrainian was fine with being a Ukrainian. He didn't care.

He is still super popular.. He can win again, no alternative anyway in russia, they are all weak cunts .

It s not a good system is someone can take advtange of it . Capitalism is not what used to be 100 yrs ago , now we live in a financial capitalist , not a productive one .

This Moldovan owned a farm house in Moldova. One day he told me he's renting it out for six dollars a month (something like that). I said "wtf? You make that in less than one hour! You still take their precious $6?" "Yes."

You never heard of the robber barons in the US? The antitrust laws that resulted. Because neither has Bill Gates.

One of the Russians I worked with was a very bad alcoholic. He would always get drunk and pick a fight with another of the guys after work, Viktor from Siberia. Viktor looked like the guy from Rocky III. "I preedict paiiin". Viktor would sometimes pummel him bad if he was in the mood. One night the guy slipped getting out of the shower and landed on his head. They found him lying dead on the bathroom floor that morning.

Do most people really have "off the record" bank accounts?
> can't get taxed on income you never earned
> can't get extorted for money you don't have

Thoughts on Yuri Bezmenov?

At work we had 7 Russians named alex and 1 american alex. It's hard to pronounce their last names. So the boss just assigned them numbers. Alex one, alex 3 alex 7 and so forth. Never learned their last names.

If a Russian quit or got fired his number got retired though.

In rural areas, only available 2-4 federal channel filled with propaganda. All news releases are constructed as "Russia / Putin wins" and "decaying West morally decomposed / wants to destroy Russia"

What is your position on Lord Kek and meme magic?
