kimi was hot as fuck but the show took a dip in quality after the first movie

Early seasons were a best because of the subtle adult humor as well as more imaginative adventures.

Everything after Dil the series started to take a nosedive and became too kiddy.

>kimi was hot as fuck
Indeed.

It's responsible for my fetish.

They totally lost the dramatic tension of those early episodes where the babies do stuff that could be potentially fatal.

Reviving it after the initial cancellation was a mistake.

First few seasons were fun

Then after that, only the first two movies were enjoyable

Pedophilia?

The movie was actually quite daring and ambitious, certainly a lot moreso than the Simpsons movie which was very bland and felt like an extended length TV episode.

IIRC Chuckie was supposed to look like Mark Mothersbaugh, who of course composed the incidental music for Rugrats.

Good fun series that should have ended after the first movie but became too much of a cash cow for Nick to stop milking until Spongebob came along.

Chuckie and his dad lost a lot of their charm post-Kimi.

A lot of people hate Dil, but Angelica and her parents always used to piss me off in a way I can't explain.

I don't think Dil and Kimi actually "ruined" the show, but they were a desperation move by the writers when they were running out of good ideas. The quality of the show really went into the tank at that point.

Also Angelica was a fantastic antagonist, unlike a lot of cartoon bullies, she's fleshed out as a character really well and we see why she does what she does.

It got a lot more kiddie and watered down from Season 4 onward.

I thought Chuckie was more annoying of a character than Angelica desu.

Dil was just this show's Scrappy Doo.

That Kwanzaa special was the icing on the cake of shit as far as I'm concerned.

Really fucking wired in hindsight. The OP and the pilot are some of Peter Chung's best work in my opinion.

Early on the show was actually pretty great, and had a level of humor that appealed to both kids and adults. Outside of the main shtick of the babies getting into perilous situations, the writing could be legitimately witty and clever, especially when the show would shift focus to the adults. Speaking of, the characters were also surprisingly well developed at first, both the babies and adults, and could even illicit a genuine emotional response. This is especially evident in the first few seasons.

Seasons 4 and 5, the pre-movie seasons, weren't so bad, but there was a notable decline in quality. The movie itself was surprisingly good and felt almost more like a return to the first few seasons, despite a few hiccups along the way.

Post-movie episodes felt another marked decline in quality, and the Kimi episodes basically brought the show to the floor. Not for Dil and Kimi themselves mind you, but they were a sign of the show moving away from its original tone, and towards a much more child-oriented one. By the time Kimi showed up, it was hard to enjoy the show as an adult anymore.

Jew propaganda

Let's not even go into AGU.

Every Baby is Dead

I didn't mind Kimi, but this character...

Basically this. Dil was a mistake.

What the hell was this?

Hopefully she grew up to be a diaper fetishist

>especially when the show would shift focus to the adults
Whatever the parents were doing I always found more interesting and funnier than what the babies were doing.

Of course, and that was totally lost post-movie. It just became impossible for anyone older than 8 to watch the show at that point.

I want to fuck Angelica's butt

I'll fuck his butt too

I find Rugrats to be simply ok. I really loved this show when I was little and I will admit that there's some memorable and classic episodes of the show, like the first 2 movies, Mother's Day, Aunt Miriam, Moving Away, etc. However, I find a good chunk of the episodes to be kind of boring and just ok. I will still watch it sometimes for nostalgia and it is a very special show though.

I feel bad for Angelica. Her parents aren't around that much because they are busy as fuck and she is jealous of Tommy, due to being more loved and supported by his family and friends.

Dumb frogposter

Shit tier nostalgic garbage.

Was Angelica's cookie addiction ever brought up in AGU?
