Is this the best "mainstream" franchise in recent years?

It's terrible, let it go, you're not 12yo anymore

Show me a better one, dumbfuck

...

>the state of movie posters

You're right, it's shit. Still better than your dumb apes movies though.

I've not seen any of these, but i know it's about chimps taking over Earth, and humans being replaced

So i'm just wondering
Have the Sup Forumstards started using this as a metaphor for immigration, and how easy is it for them to do that?

neck yourself

It is. It's consistently great with great writing and the effects won't look like shit in the future.

Sup Forumstards don't watch good movies, so we're safe. Let them argue about the marvel movies or whatever.

Yes, though I thought the last one was the weakest.

third one was shit

Please be joking

...

how the fuck do they do this?

fucking billion dollar franchises like Star Wars and capeshit have laughable dogshit CGI, but every fucking ape in those movies looks real, its fucking amazing

desu apes actually look more civilised

serkiskino

Weta magic. I don't know if they did all of them?

>killing my boi Caesar
fuck the third movie

yeah this movie was probably the first time i couldn't tell if creatures were cgi or practical.

Yes, and Caesar is the best movie protagonist in recent years.

WETA since Capeshit gets outsourced to budget companies

>2001 Space Oddisey

It didn't won an Oscar in best costume because they thought they were actual apes

Only 1 of those is good you nigger.

the difference between two year post production vs one year

Its pretty good. Each film has its strengths and weaknesses but together they are pretty great with some amazing throwbacks to the original movies.
>your son will know who his father was
Caeser always hated not being able to know his parents in the original movies.

That's more like good direction. Planet is of Apes is just great CGI

That's not star wars
