The Dark Tower Pt. 1

I'm going to do as the title says and post Peter David's adaptation of The Dark Tower by Stephen King. I plan on going to the end of The Gunslinger so let's get started.

I read the first book and fucking loved it. Haven't found the time to get through The Drawing of Three but there's a good chance I'll be motivated once I reach the end of the first book.

...

>The Man in Black fled across the desert...
>...And the gunslinger followed.
Easily one of the strongest openings to a series I've seen.

I could never decide upon a suitable actor to play Roland. All I know is that as much as I like Idris Elba, I think we could do better.
>Then again, he may shatter expectations.

>There is no more powerful summary of memories than smell.
The reason why is because information tied to smell is directly transmitted to the appropriate area in the brain whereas the majority of all other sensory information has to be relayed through the thalamus before it reaches it's target.

...

...

Hey OP, I just bought the first two of these in HC. God, do you think we'll ever finish the comic?

...

...

The ending to this series was so disappointing

...

It's a rollercoaster of quality, just letting you know now. The books I mean.
3>1>7>2>4>5>6

I'm not sure. The biggest issue appears to be Peter David's heatlh but I genuinely believe if he were to die, someone else would take over. The series WILL be finished.

That makes me sad.

That makes me happy.

Also what's everyone's opinion on the upcoming movie?

Idris Elba is the least of my worries.

Well this is a development...

...

>The series WILL be finished
But in what year. Will I still be alive?

...

Welcome to the world of Stephen King, friendo.

Yeah it kinda was but who's more disappointed you about a comic book or your mom in you?

I have faith in you.

Fucking Flagg.

...

It took 30 years to finish the books. So, we'll have to see.

...

...

...

I'm really stoked that other peeps are reading along. I was worried others wouldn't enjoy.

Always down for some Dark Tower.

...

Cort is getting fucked up.

Finishing this story is going to be an undertaking. Firstly it's made up of multiple story arcs. Secondly, many of the issues come with supplementary materials (art, bios, maps) which I also plan on including.

Jae Lee ma man. I'd read a Bendis comic with his art.

Fucking A

It's just not what I pictured at all when I think of Roland. I like Idris Elba, it's just not the choice I would have made.

If you had to read a Bendis comic with Jae Lee on art duties, what would you want? I'm thinking a Daredevil story or Dark Avengers story.

...

>in book 5 Roland fights robots that resemble Doombots that wield weapons that resemble lightsabers
>Book 5 came out in 2003
>Gunslinger born, published by marvel came out in 2007
>Disney bought Marvel in 2009
>Disney bought Lucasarts in 2012

Fitting that The Dark Tower is tied so well into the hypercrisis isn't it?

Namor m'man.

...

...

Me either, but, he's the least of my worries after seeing that leaked trailer.
Plus, we got literally perfect casting for Flagg, so I'm good.

...

...

>Becomes the youngest gunslinger in history
>His first act is to head to the brothel.
My Man

Truly an oh-shit moment if there ever was one.

...

...

...

...

...

...

...

...

I love Dark Tower so much.

I know right? I literally can't think of anything more baller than that.

...

...

...

...

...

...

...

...

...

...

...

...

Did they just call Marten cheap stew? The sheer balls.

...

...

...

...

The writing in this is top fucking tier.

...

...

...

Good old Sheemie.

...

What happened to you, OP?

I know man. It's fucking glorious and puts so many current comics to shame.

Sorry about the delay. I was just making sure I had all the comics to actually get to the end. Also I'm working on getting them all into a rar file and uploaded to mega because I wuv you guys so much.

...

You good. And thanks bruh

...

...

...

...

...

...

...

...

I think I'll also include the epub's for the book series if anyone is interested.

Is this the earliest mention of 11/22/63?
