alright im finally doing it because ive kept hearing about these movies for some reason recently, and ive never seen them before. the universe is telling me to finally watch them.
going to marathon 1 and 2, probably not 3 because i hear it sucks and its stupid and a waste of time. what am i in for Sup Forums?
Brody Stewart
with the first one - a pretty good movie
second movie is a boring waste of time with nothing new or interesting.
Elijah Kelly
but al pacino?
Leo Mitchell
part 2 is superior in every way, it just doesn't have brando in it
John Adams
I liked how they ended 3 seemed like a fitting end to the trilogy, shame the rest of the film is shit
Chase Jenkins
>Watching the memefather trilogy >not watching superior Battles Without Honor and Humanity pentalogy kys ma nigga
Joseph Baker
I wouldn't say it's shit, but it revolves too much around sofia "nocarisma" coppola's character and pacino forgot how to act in it
Adrian Ward
literal kino in every sense of the word
2 had a perfect ending, no need to expand on that
Xavier Rodriguez
trips of truth
Juan Allen
>skipping any of the films that's like eating only half of a meal, or filling up only a little bit of your gas tank. you don't do that.
Wyatt Foster
DONT MARATHON THEM THEYRE GOOD BUT NOT 6 HOURS STRAIGHT STILL INTERESTED GOOD
Andrew Morales
Just watch the first one, then watch the 2nd one a week later. Youre meant to enjoy them they're not for marathoning
Noah Bennett
watched part 2 the other day, the pachino parts are boring as fuck but the deniro parts are pure kino
Jonathan Wood
dunno what ur talking about. just finished the first one. not at all what i thought the movie would be like. had more action than i thought, and less brando talking in the dark than i thought. enjoyed it more than i thought i would. now on to part 2 :)
Brandon Price
did godfather fans in the 16 years between 1974 and 1990 feel like they were missing anything by not having a third part?
Henry Thomas
Why are you Plebs bothering to dish out advice? I watched them one after another and it was fine. Maybe sort out your fucking attention span, you millenial cookie cutter porn addicts
Ian Gomez
It's been a long time since I last saw these.
I remember first movie being chock full of extremely memorable scenes and thought that it worked extremely well by itself with a proper beginning, arc and a proper ending.
Second movie does not have a strong sense of locale, it's half background to Vito and half what happens after the first movie. It's still extremely beautiful but not as good as the first one from a narrative standpoint. I thought Fredo's character was the best part about it.
I still haven't seen the third movie.
Carter Myers
i thought first one was okay but i really liked part two they are long ass movies though so be prepared
Matthew Reed
First movie is okay, but the whole "best movie ever" thing is absolutely ridiculous.
Second movie drags on for nearly four hours. The stuff with young Vito is good, but the present day story isn't very interesting.
Third movie is forgettable and boring.
Christian Campbell
I like part one for its sense of family togetherness. Cant sympathize with Al Pacino in 2 since he's just a greedy liar.
Ryan Miller
You deserved a get for that. I do like Godfather 2 I guess but fuck me you're right.
The best part about it was the flashbacks and they're largely irrelevant and the Michael story is redundant after the first movie because it takes 3 and a half fucking hours to end basically the same way.
Michael kills his brother (instead of step brother) as revenge after he was approached by enemies of the family who used his feelings of resentment to set up an assassination attempt.
>no you see now he's REALLY bad
It's the same fucking thing
Josiah Richardson
Did anyone notice the similarities between The Godfather and Dune?
>>Well-respected, noble father figure, immigrates to new home Vito Corleone to the US, Duke Leto to Arrakis
>>Friendly, trustworthy counselor Tom Hagen, Duncan Idaho
>> Story of the rise and fall of the son of that respected man Michael becomes a piece of shit, Muad'dib is in exil after being raised to the status of god
Ayden Martin
Pachino parts are where the emotion is
the ending with the flashback being stitched in with the rest is pure kino
Cooper Morgan
Godfather is boring inconsequential shit. so boring I always lose interest and don't give a fuck what happens to these mafia faggots.
Tyler Edwards
yeah that's the point
remember the flashback at the end of 2 when they all go off to see Vito and Michael's left sitting all alone and then it cuts to Michael sitting by himself after alienating/killing his entire family?
Caleb Carter
part 2 is canonical (both parts are from the book) but I liked 2.
