Obi-Wan was a full Jedi for less than a week before he began training Anakin. Can't blame him for doing a shit job but holy fucking christ if the council didn't warn him.
If Qui-Gon had just not made him promise to do it, or if they had someone like Plo Koon, Mace or Ki-Adi train Anakin instead, and actually crack down on his faggotry, imagine the difference.
Isaiah Wilson
>Obi-Wan was a full Jedi for less than a week before he began training Anakin. Still a cool scene. youtu.be/W97ZnS-Adnw

Who do you think?

Kylo might be unironically gay. He had Rey at his mercy and never once tried to leverage any kind of sexual factor when interrogating/intimidating her.
I feel like if he had someone else that would crack down on him, he'd become more rebellious. I mean at the very least Anakin likes Obi-Wan since he doesn't always have a stick up his ass and respects him.
>He's as powerful as Master Windu and as wise as Master Yoda.
Parker Thompson
>Anakin was a better master to Ahsoka than Kanan is to Ezra
Yeah, because being a possessive and clingy child is being a good Master. Anakin was too immature to have a padawan and it's more to Ahsoka's credit that she didn't turn out like him and turned out more like Plo Koon than it is anything Anakin did apart from provide multiple instances of how not to act as a Jedi. Say what you want about Kanan's not being prepared for a padawan, he still stepped up to the plate and is aware of the burden, accepts the responsibility, and puts effort into overcoming his shortcomings; Anakin was too busy flaunting his snowflake status, throwing himself into battles, and fucking his illegal wife on the down-low to bother correcting his many, many flaws, and by the time he fell from grace even his most valuable trait, his loyalty, was scattered ashes.

mace windu is a strict jedi, he would have made anakin scrub every single tile in the palace with a toothbrush if he found out anakin had feelings for padme, instead of just talking to him
he would have turned into vader in less than a week

Hardly Obi-Wan's fault. Credit where credit is due, after all. It wasn't just Anakin's predilections toward darkness, which could have been course corrected by Obi-Wan, far more importantly he had a second mentor named Sheev Palpatine who fed him stories of the virtues of vengeance, using your powers in ways the Jedi don't allow, and generally building the brat's ego and desires. In particular his desire that if the universe didn't behave the way he wanted he would use his power to force it.

So, is Kanan more powerful than Anakin? That jump over the chasm was pretty large. Significantly largely than the distance between Anakin and Obi-wan at the end of their duel, when Anakin claimed Obi-wan was underestimating him. So is Kanan now more powerful than Anakin was in ROTS?
You know, now that you mention it I don't think Ezra's made any commentary over how their room smells this season.

Would anyone else just feel really bad for Kylo Ren if he never got any kind of redemption? >wants to continue his grandfather's legacy but his parents hate his granddad >tries to claim his grandpa's weapon as his birthright but some lady who just learned the Force LITERALLY THAT DAY steals it from him >is immensely insecure about his own strength and prone to emotional outbursts Somebody give the guy a hug, god damn.
Matthew Fisher
So we all agree that Anakin should never have been trained and that everything that ever went wrong is solely Qui-Gon's fault for wanting to train the kid, then making Obi-Wan promise to do it for him.

Anakin was the perfect master for Ahsoka in that he was the only one who was willing to put up with her insubordination without kicking her ass to the curb -- he says that even Obi Wan would've found her a bit too much. Yoda and Obi Wan basically found the biggest delinquent padawan they had and assigned them to their delinquent Jedi knight hoping that they would learn how to mature together. Note: their plan worked, both Ahsoka and Anakin grow markedly more mature and responsible throughout the course of the show as Anakin realizes the gravity of his responsibilities towards her and impresses them on her in turn. Development that is largely reverted when Ahsoka leaves and Anakin gets super-traumatized by it
Who says it has to be gay senpai? Krennic is best girl

Saw Rogue One in theaters last night, oh my god, everything from when the Star Destroyers collide to the start of the credits is just utterly incredible. The overall score was really good but not great but those last 2 tracks are just absolutely perfect for their scenes. Fantastically handled end for our 2 leads, the shots of the explosion from above the planet is just gorgeous. youtube.com/watch?v=Qemb3iBlp1o youtube.com/watch?v=RaEzKRngCyY

No, I only disagree with Qui-Gon imposing Anakin's training on Obi-Wan. A more seasoned and prepared Master might have been a better option. I simply do not believe that Obi-Wan was ready to take on a student and he basically admits that to Luke in the OT. The pressure of being a new Knight, the pressure of the war, and the pressue of Qui-Gon's death looming over their entire relationship was simply too many factors for Obi-Wan and Anakin to overcome; Anakin under a Master like Kit Fisto might have come out better simply because of less personal baggage.
Ultimately, though, Qui-Gon is to blame for setting up the situation in the first place, and Yoda is to blame for not telling Obi-Wan to shove it when Obi-Wan was getting all in his face about "muh promise to Qui-Gon" to train Anakin even without permission.
Adrian Powell
Honestly, that was one of the reasons I couldn't get into TCW when it came out. It reminded me of the Genndy designs, even though it had a better designed Ventress.

because he recognizes Tarkin was a great man who deserved the power he wielded, whereas Tagge is more of a logistician. More practical yes, but not really worthy of respect.
Caleb Kelly
Is this meant to be upsetting or what? For someone who went to see the film without knowing what it was really about, of course it would be a surprise. I was surprised too, how well they managed to tie the films together.
A little odd that now Leia is lying her ass off straight in Vaders face after having escaped from Scarif only hours earlier. And come to think of it, why the fuck was Leia Organa aboard the ship that escaped the rebel command ship?

So, if the Death Star was able to come out of hyperspace in the relative position it needed to be to destroy the Scarif base, why couldn't they do the same in ANH?
Nicholas Hill
the dialouge indicates that tagge only keeps the empire the way it is, a hundred more SSDs would be effective for sure but they wouldnt alter the balance of power, while tarkin was a visionary, the death star would change the entire galaxy
he wasnt against the death star in episode iv, he was the only person in the room who wasnt overconfident in its power
Anthony Martinez
>Tarkin was a great man who deserved the power he wielded
Angel Bailey
>And come to think of it, why the fuck was Leia Organa aboard the ship that escaped the rebel command ship? We all wonder the answer to that, because it's patently stupid that she was present at the battle herself. Then again, she was doing stupid shit in Rebels, too, so maybe that was just her little rebellious Rebel thing.
Easton Cox
If the Council was smarter they'd have just assigned Anakin to a full master once Obi-Wan insisted on training him. Instead they basically shrugged and washed their hands of it. They knew Anakin's age and potential would make him hard to handle, and still let their newest and least experienced Knight handle his training as his very first Padawan.
Cooper Walker
Sure, I think we can all agree letting Palpatine become Anakin's special friend and train him on the sly was the exact wrong move.
Michael Flores
in Vader's eyes that is, not objectively Krennic is functionally the same as Tagge, hence Vader's disdain for him
Brandon Flores
They basically did. A 30-minute cruise around Yavin's orbit to fall in line with the fourth moon is pretty damn accurate an exit point.
Noah Morales
>tries to murder the shit out of Hardeen >only arrests him the first time because it's what Obi-wan would have wanted >flat out tries killing him the second time >joke around while killing droids >defies Sheev and tries to save him
