With Trump elected President, what do you think about his presence in comics for the future? Will it be positive or negative?

Do you even need to ask? He's a Republican, what do you think?

Real talk, if Trump had run as a Democrat, they would be all over his orange dick. Like ninety percent of his message is identical to Bill Clinton's '92 campaign, look it up.

It'll lead to Secret Invasion II, in which the president of the USA is replaced by not!Skrulls.

Mark my words.

He's the least liked president elect in over two decades.
Maybe Ike will try to help his comic appearances.

Secret Empire may do that.

obviously negative the guy's a fucking monster after all

I mean did you SEE that press conference?

>He's the least liked president elect in over two decades
You're fucking kidding, right? Every Republican is the least liked to you people.

Honestly I believe so too.

To most Democrats, the only thing worse than the previous Republican is the one after them.

Let's see.

Trump spent 8 years on that birtherism bullshit.
He's obnoxious.
He spent 40 years fucking people over in the most obvious and blatant ways possible.
He's a faux tough guy.

I don't think democrats would be all over his dick.

Dubya was more liked than Trump at the start of his presidency.

Which means that he will be worse than GWB. USA is fucked.

Anyway, not Sup Forums related.

Marvel are #literallyshaking right now. If Trump appears in a Marvel book, it'll be so the writer can show just how much of a le ebil white man he is.

Geroge W. At least had that lovable doofus quality to him. Trump is just shrill and unpleasant

I know, Cuck News Network got owned so hard I was erect for the rest of the day

No, he's just too unintelligent for me to support even if I do agree with some of his policies.

He was literally just shouting "NO" like a child at the reporter's at his press conference.

>what is the Florida recount?
We had very nearly a solid year of hearing about how he was illegitimately selected and stole the election before 9/11, and maybe three months of bipartisan support for the war on terror after that before the Democrats remembered they were supposed to be running for the 2002 midterms. If you honestly think Dubya was "liked" by the left at any point in his Presidency, you're delusional.

Not him but I didn't have much trouble with bush sr and Reagan.i didn't like bush jr because he was a spoiled brat with no clue that talked big and led our nation into shit that was obviously bad without hindsight.

I meant he was MORE liked than Trump.

Remember when Trump promised to combat wall street and then later announced to repeal Dodd-Frank, weaken the CFPB, and lighten regulation on the derivatives market?

Remember when Trump came into Atlantic City to bring it out of financial disaster by introducing casinos, wasting billions in failed developments, increasing crime and unemployment in the city, and then just straight up leaving it?

Remember when Trump brought on a defense secretary who stated that he is going to honor the arms control agreement in Iran despite Trump vowing to dismantle it?

Hell yeah, I would take four more years of George bush than Donald trump. Like holy shit.

>President George W. Bush gives his farewell speech, Jan. 15, 2009. President Bush will leave office as one of the most unpopular departing presidents in history, according to a new CBS News/New York Times poll showing Mr. Bush's final approval rating at 22 percent.

Ib4 "B-but if we exterminate all the subhumans in California his approval rating would be much higher!"

You know you have it bad when W. starts to look like an appealing choice in retrospect.

>8 years

Remember when he accused his biggest opponents of being owned by Goldman Sachs and later appointed 6prominent members of Goldman Sachs to his cabinet in prime position to long stroke the American people without lube?

The two parties can be summed up by their respective positions on climate change.

Democrats are right, and believe scientists who have spent their lives studying the field and earned the right to have their opinions seriously regarded.

Republicans are wrong and believe the wealthy corporations who constantly try to muddy the waters with arguments that only work on unintelligent people who have a very low level understanding of the topic.

youtube.com/watch?v=OWXoRSIxyIU

for good reason, time and time again it has shown that national debt goes down and the stock market goes up under Democratic presidents

By whom? According to what metric? Nearly thirteen million more people voted for Trump in '16 than Bush in '00. He won 35 more electoral votes than Bush did. Raw numbers, Trump is far more popular than Bush was - but because you insist on living in a left-wing echo chamber, there's no way ANYONE could POSSIBLY like Trump - which is the exact same thinking that's been behind every sore loser Democrat bitchfest, every single time a Republican's one the Presidency. Ronald fucking Reagan had a blowout of a landslide victory and the refrain was, "I don't understand how he could have won, I don't know a single person that voted for him."

YOU may not like him. Enough of the rest of the country does. Your hurt feelings don't invalidate everyone else's vote.

Trump wasn't even my guy, I'm just so fucking tired of this partisan political bullshit where Republicans are expected to sit down and shut up when a Democrat wins, but Democrats are permitted to shout from mountaintops whenever a Republican wins.

How much is that being valued at the moment? Since I've got a first printing NM 9.8 stashed away somewhere.

Unlikely. He barely squeaked by in his first victory. Incumbents usually do worse in their second election. Happened to Reagan, both bush's, Clinton, ford and obama.

There there, once the God-Emperor is seated on his Eternal Throne next Friday, nobody will dare speak against him again. This is what frogposters actually believe.

Probably positive. Isn't the CEO of Marvel one of trumps cronies?

>You know you have it bad when Bush, Sr. starts to look like an appealing choice in retrospect.
>You know you have it bad when Reagan starts to look like an appealing choice in retrospect.
>You know you have it bad when Ford starts to look like an appealing choice in retrospect.
>You know you have it bad when Nixon starts to look like an appealing choice in retrospect.
Every fucking time. Give it a decade, we'll be hearing about how much better it would be if only we could have another four of Trump instead of whomever the next guy is.

The electorate in 2016 was much larger than it was in in 2000.

Spoon-feed me user

>repeal Dodd-Frank
I don't see the problem. The Dodd-Frank act resulted in bank consolidation, making big banks bigger. It hurt smaller local banks and benefited larger ones. If you judge an act or policy based on its intended goals instead of outcome you are foolish.

>weaken the CFPB
Which is a good thing. The CFPB only makes things more expensive by imposing costs onto other businesses. How do you think they're going to respond to newer regulations and being strong armed by a government agency? They're going to externalize costs onto consumers.

>Obama
>cool, articulate nerd that loves comic books

>Trump
You're just being passive aggressive.

lol nobody gives a shit about his "message." He spent 8 years claiming Obama was born in Kenya and acts like a fake tough-guy buffoon.

Maybe 10% of the voters care about a candidates personality. Otherwise they get elected on how they look, how tall they are, and their personality (The old "could I have a beer with them" bit).

The CFPB is the reason the case behind Wells Fargo was funded and allowed them to take Wells Fargo to court in order to be found guilty of making false accounts for their customers

No other organization had enough power to do that, not even the FBI that gave up that case TO the CFPB

But none of those people really looked good in retrospect until now,(except maybe Reagan)

Once the "he is racist and sexist" shit passes and the "my god worst president ever" crap goes away then he'll do better.

Then how about the fact that Republicans have already started lightening regulation on the derivatives market?

bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-01-12/wall-street-gets-early-gift-as-house-tries-to-ease-swaps-rules

Surely that will result in banks acting responsibly, less rules instead of more must be soooo bad for wall street

Probably negative until the Russians take over and all media is state run.

I wonder what Obama thinks about the current state of Marvel and Spider-Man or Miles for that matter, has he mentioned anything other than he has a massive longbox full of issues?

Trump has the lowest approval rating even for a President going into the office. Even W. had like 60%, despite the whole debacle with the Florida recount.

None of that will go away. Every damn time he shows up in the news, he does or says something that makes him look like an even worse president than what people thought before. His obvious attempts to pander won't convince people that he's not racist either. Like seriously, Steve Harvey is the guy that you go to when you want to disci]uss how to make things better for minorities? What??

Yes, it was. Which is an indication of the candidates' popularity, or at the very least the unpopularity of the opposing candidate forcing voters to get out and vote. Trump got two million more votes than Romney did in '12, and plus some couple hundred thousand than McCain in 2008.

Really? Because I distinctly recommend a chorus of left-wing personalities openly pining for the days of Nixon, "because at least he had the decency to resign." Watch some old SNL, most of it's on YouTube, now; Ford was a buffoon, but by god, at least he wasn't Ronald Reagan.

Too far back for you? Look up some of the things Barry O had to say about Romney in 2012, and what he had to say about Trump in '16 - he went from history's greatest monster to, "you know, the Republicans used to put up decent candidates." Decent candidates like history's greatest monster Mitt Romney? Okay.

This constant Chicken Little bullshit about how whoever's running with an (R) next to his name is the Worst Candidate Ever is precisely why Trump won. Don't call it a grave, it's the future you chose.

All the writers that have started ripping on him already need to grow the fuck up. The man hasn't even been Inaugurated yet and he's being portrayed as the ultimate enemy of freedom.

Marvel is based in New York. New Yorkers have hated Trump long before he entered poltics, they know exactly what he is.

Obama seems to take his job seriously so he probably doesn't spend that much time on keeping up with comics.

I'm sure that Trump will have all kinds of funny picture books in his playpen, though I worry that they'll be too soaked in piss to be readable.

For good reason, Trump has had multiple ventures in New York that have made the city even worse

Trump refused to answer CNN and called them fake news. They had that coming to them.

Trump won because people in the rust belt think that he can bring back their dead jobs.

And now he's giving them all a big fuck you by operating in Trump Tower and costing the city millions in security and lost business revenue. Even worse, it tooks like his wife is gonna stay there and he intends to go therer himself as much as possible, so the costs will remain.

He called CNN fake news and said Buzzfeed was a failing pile of garbage. There was mass reports of "literally shaking" afterwards

>Marvel are #literallyshaking right now
>Waidcryinginacorner.gif

dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1230635/Scientist-climate-change-cover-storm-told-quit.html

Trumps a mutant, his superpower is the ability to survive any scandal whatsoever.

Nothing sticks to him.

>They had that coming to them.

Oh come on. Even fucking Fox News objected Trump's shenanigans against CNN in that press conference.

Literally. Hitler. Imageries.

90% of the people in this thread are shills or are regular posters in /sug/. you are why we can't have nice things.

You can't be college educated and have Trump not immediately come off like an idiot. I convinced myself before that he was playing dumb but after this last tantrum it's evident that he is in fact just very unitelligent.

Probably why so many people could relate to him.

Let's just hope he doesn't end up being Apocalypse.

>Nothing sticks to him.
Or rather, it doesn't stick to enough people. Most people don't like Trump, but enough people living in the right places are willing to ignore/deny his many flaws because he promised them a pony and they think an outsider will tear everything down and fix it.

When will the X-men fight Goldshower?

Jim Brown, then?

>dailymail

link to breitbart while you're at it

Which is funny, considering that nobody came to Fox's defense when Obama talked shit about them and blew off their reporters at press conferences.

To me it shows that Republicans hold their candidates to different standards.

>it's evident that he is in fact just very unitelligent.
You don't make a billion dollar company, become a reality tv star, and then IRL shitpost your way to the highest office in the world by being unintelligent

>No other organization had enough power to do that, not even the FBI that gave up that case TO the CFPB
I hope the next frauder you go after next is the Federal Reserve.

This is under the assumption that the regulations were effective in the first place. George Stigler's capture theory of regulation is still accurate to this very day, who do you believe writes these regulations? Even if they were written for the public good, they still remain ineffective. Rules and regulations create a barrier of entry for newer businesses, facilitate monopolies, and limit supply. I speak abstractly of regulations because no one has brought up a specific one.

>considering that nobody came to Fox's defense when Obama talked shit about them
That's a lie and you know it.

Head, meet sand.
>again

You wot mate? I go to a ivy league school and all I heard about last semester was white guilt and how you should cater to "minorities" it is the American way. you're so intelligent the way that you parrot what others say and act like you thought it up yourself what a bright young user mooos3. Gtfo with your pseudo intellectual horse shit and talk about how you think cartoons need romantic sub plots

I too remember Obama yelling at a Fox News reporter inbetween twitter tantrums about how they're failing and hate him.

He didn't make anything. It was his dad's company. The fact that he was able to do any of that just shows how unintelligent the average American is. The man sounds like a child and if you've ever competed in debate or taken an oral comm course you can't see him as anything but unintelligent.

Paul Ryan for example is clearly an intelligent guy regardless of his viewpoints. Trump comes off as a complete moron.

Even Obama wasn't trying to actively claim ALL of MSM to be nothing but lies and fake news while at the same time considering places like Breitbart the bastion of accurate reporting

That just means that he inherited a bunch of money and he's good at manipulating people and promoting his image. That doesn't mean he's good at other things, and it definetly doesn't mean he's intelligent, well-informed or well-read.

>Tfw to intelligent too run for president

>Cool suit, Spidey. Want to bring it to the White House?

But on the other hand he managed to bankrupt several casinos, and that's impressive.

Please, any other presidential candidate and they would have been sunk already. The magic of Trump is that he can just ignore the current scandal/shitpost on twitter about it till a new one happens and people forget about the old. Rinse and repeat.

Nah Trump is more of a Street level type

Kek, you are assblasted and triggered over the left so you voted for an idiot?

His views don't matter if the man can't give a single intelligent response.

You are the exact type of idiot voter that votes with his feelings and not logic. He is a terrible public speaker with anger issues.

Stop pretending all right wingers like Trump because a vast majority of us think he is a complete idiot.

Are there any comic creators that actually like Trump?

Do trumpfags get paid? Their dedication to shitposting is almost vain.

Is it really? Because Jersey does it quite easily.

>He is a terrible public speaker

Wrong

Pretty sure Obama doubled the debt

At least it showed that the largely conservative and religious bible belt consists entirely of hypocrites who care nothing about true traditional values by supporting a known womanizer and multiple divorces gone through candidate.

Pretty much this to be quite honest family.

>NO NO NO

You'd fit right in with him.

The Republican voter base is bigger than GOP leadership. You're being dishonest if you don't think that the GOP didn't do everything in its power to shut him down.

Don't forget the whole sexual harassment thing.

They are nothing but shills and liars. Follow the money trail you spoon fed baby. Trump didn't pay them like obongo or W so they have been throwing as much shit at him as possible. He even invited most of the msm to trump tower under the guise of a exclusive story just to scold them all for being literal lying parasites who'd do anything for a story. The result was the msm throwing a tantrum of rumors.

To be fair that WAS literally fucking nothing.

It's cathartic to see your ilk cry over and over again.

>people who shitpost all day about super heroes and children's cartoons talking about politics with any sort of authority
These threads are always garbage. Worse than Sup Forums or tumblr

He can certainly afford it

>The Republican voter base is bigger than GOP leadership.
I'm well aware of that.

>You're being dishonest if you don't think that the GOP didn't do everything in its power to shut him down.
I didn't mean to imply that.

My point was precisely that the republican BASE holds their leaders to different standards than the democratic base holds theirs.

Woosh

Are all lefties this dense?

They didn't. The second they realized he's what their voter base wanted, they rode his stubby, orange dick through Election Day.

Republicans only care about winning.
