sinners from Hell is an underrated one. First half is this guy trying to deal with his wife's death then it goes into this crazy hell sequence where he has to save his unborn baby. for the time it was pretty gory and the setting was nice and colorful. was a really weird depiction of hell.

4, 6, and X are generally considered the best. 7 was a try hard that went too far into silly goose land, the telekinesis and people coming back from the dead that aren't Jason was a little too far in what could have been pretty good.
Freddy vs Jason was pretty decent but tried to tweak lore of the characters a bit too much at times if you were a real fan.
Slashers really a tight rope genre, it's fast too easy to just accidentally 3spoopy5me by trying too hard, but you can also easily pull a Friday 5/Halloween 3 and make a movie that angers the fans by trying to reinvent the wheel just to keep things fresh. But atleast the controversial movies are better than worst main series cannon entries.
