The Loud House

What is your honest opinion on this show?

And no, you can't shitpost or use buzzwords.

I don't like it.

fpbp

It's a good kid's show.

I haven't seen a lot of it and I can't honestly say it totally sucks or anything, but it seems pretty weak/mediocre to average and I think the dumb "harem" aspect accounts for a lot of the appeal on Sup Forums.

It's decent. The fanbase made me lose interest in the show all together.

It's pretty funny at times and I enjoy it.

I do my best to say away from it's retarded fandom though, just like most fandoms.

(continued)
It's just that Lincoln talking to the camera is such lazy writing.

So, what do you think the chances of this show being popular would be had it been about a girl with ten brothers, but everything else was the same?

It's a straightforward 90sish sitcom. It's really just a lot of tv comedy fundamentals with the big family aspect just an excuse to have broad archtypes to play with

IN THE

Shit. Harem anime- I mean cartoons only work because girls can relate to side characters and the boys have plenty of female characters to lust over and one male protag to ease the male insecurity about watching a show that girls watch.

Man that be too progressive
>white girl/black boy just friends because hes crushing hard on oldest brother
>oldest brother dating mexican boy while MC in casual lesbian with the younger sister

best nickolodeon show to come out in a long time. the art style is nice and reminds me of newspaper comic strips.

Honestly, it's one of the few shows I'm in "love" with, at the moment.
It's simple and honestly predictable, but while some count those as negatives, those are kind of what I like about it. Because it's simple, it can do a lot with what it's got and it wouldn't be too out of place, and because it's predictable, it can spend more time on focusing on the character interactions and humor since it isn't trying to break too much new ground though, it does have its own things that make it unique, despite how the plot might be described in the guide. The characters are all endearing and it does a good job at capturing the feel of a family.
Where I would still follow SU or Star VS for their "lore", having a show that just focuses on simple sitcom stuff added with good characters, animation, style is a fresh of breath air.

Comfy slice of life show that has a hard-to-describe nostalgic feel to it. I think if you're an only child with hardly any cousins it may not resonate as much perhaps in that regards, but I feel like I can compare each of the sisters to a cousin in the large family that made Christmas gatherings and other celebrations so chaotic as a kid. I dig the newspaper comic aesthetic it's got going for it, and certainly having such a large cast means that everybody will be able to pick a favourite.

It's not a perfect show. Even in the last week of episodes, Brawl in the Family was bland and more annoying than anything, but then they also had three good ones too. I think they're starting to understand that the show isn't at its best when it's Lincoln Vs An army of bitchy sisters, but when each character gets a turn in the spotlight or they are a friendly group having a bunch of mini-storylines in the middle of a bigger event.

The issue with the fanbase isn't even a factor because shit son, why are you basing the quality of a product upon a pocket of fans on an image board of Anonymous shitposters that have no direct input in the product itself?

It's the only nickelodeon show I've wanted to watch in years. It's simple, cute, and funny. I do want more out of the show sometimes, but it's never going to have overarching plot, and I have other shows for that, and fandom sorta provides that, but mostly incest related, or weird LGBT stuff.

Agreed, as long as you keep away from the fandom, the show is enjoyable

>Nothing but toilet humor
>Screechy, annoying voices
>Fanbase is nothing but pedos
I don't think I've dropped a show faster than this.

Its bad, it over uses stereotypes and the main character spends way too much time talking directly to the camera so that he can set up the plot.

to put it simply the show is written very lazily, they use exposition and narration instead of doing someone organic or creative to set up situations and their characters are all unoriginal and over used archtypes

What would a good overarching plot even revolve around given the characters and setting?

It can only ever be episodic.

>Fanbase is nothing but pedos
But Mike, isn't that just a description of every single fanbase.

Highly overrated and Harvey Beaks has three times the effort put into it!

I like it! It's a simple, comfy, and a slice of life show!

A mediocre cartoon that only gets talking about because muh waifus XD

>Letting the fanbase affect your experience with the show

A drawing of Lori Loud in a little black dress.

The first season is pretty mediocre with unnecessary toilet humour, Lincoln constantly talking to the camera to explain shit, and stereotypical characters.

It does get better around Season 2. The characters are more fleshed out, it drops most of the toilet humour, and the plots play out a bit more organically.

The biggest problem with the show is that it plays itself too safe with it's plots, and very few episodes take advantage of the series strengths, Which is all the siblings interacting with each other in ridiculous situations.

Also, the MC's friend is annoying as fuck, and ruins whatever episode he's featured in.

OP specifically said no shitposting and buzzwords.

Nice.

It's shit and cultural Marxist propaganda brainwashing our youth

nice copypasta

What part of " you can't shitpost or use buzzwords" don't you understand?

People tend to put it on pedestal as the savior of cartoons and waifufaggotry. It's OK. Sometimes kinda funny but most of the time it's just very typical early 2000's mediocre cartoon to fill up some time slots.

I also forgot to note that it's very fucking predictable and the voice acting is eughhh.

Blonde doesn't fit her, should've been brown

I've only seen a couple episodes but I found it to be pretty mediocre. Not something I'd watch on a regular basis. But that applies to most cartoons desu. The only noteworthy thing about it is all the shipping.

It's better than gay space rocks anyway.

Yes, all shows need a little time to flesh themselves out and the first season is usually weak.

>tfw the one I lust over is the dad

Should've showed him in the speedos during the hotel episode damnit

If not for the fanbase I honestly wouldn't have the slightest care

It's there though. Not quite big, but it's there. So I'm engaged

Regardless, Lola is the best character
10/10 analysis

It's pretty comfy, it's nothing special.

It's a pretty mediocre and sometimes below average show, the writing's piss poor, the protagonist's new voice still isn't up to par with Grant's, and the other siblings can all be described with just one word. I want to like the show, but it just falls flat on most things.

They changed his voice already?

Doesn't matter to us what we think, it's getting nice views and that's what matters to nick... But it's ok would only watch when nothing else's on.

Yep they replaced grant after he hit puberty, and replace d him with the kid who played Greg from otgw, and he's just not good

The first kids voice broke, but sadly the second kid simply isn't as good as emoting. It's the risk you take when you hire boys but have no intention to age up characters (at least not as early as within the first ten episodes. In Steven Universe they had his 14th birthday on the show when the kids voice started to break).

From what I gather, only Lincoln is voiced by a kid on Loud House, but if they'll change him again when kid 2 breaks we won't know just yet.

It's a good show. Don't knock it until you've tried it.

They really should've just gone with a teen or an adult for this like Dipper from gf, I guess they did it to relate to the target demograph.

If that was true, they'd also have the sisters voiced by kids instead of 40 year old women.

I can't stand Dipper's voice.

He doesn't even sound close to a 12 year old.

Yeah I mean Hey Arnold used kid voice actors for all the kid, not just Arnold.

Interesting, Only time I felt off about his voice were during the previews for the show's premiere, after that, I thought he did a great job and never thought about it afterwards Jason Ritter nailed the role tbqh.

>VAs openly making incest jokes on Twitter

>"To get to a guy's heart"
What did she mean by this?

I've been watching it for a while now and I'm starting to pick up on how much bullshit Lincoln is totally justified in complaining about yet the show acts like he's in the wrong for doing so.

Decent other than that.

I've legit never seen a second of it, but I have a favorite sibling already. Probably because all of the "A happy Leni is a cute Leni" posts.

I find it less of a problem than in other shows, albeit Brawl in the Family pissed me off because Lincoln was forced to shit in the bucket because of his petty family

>telling women they should cook to get a man
Really? Really? Ugh.

What other shows?

This is raw stuff for Nickelodeon.

For what it's worth, everyone seems to hate Brawl in the Family. I think it's one specific writer who is responsible for all the bad ones like that.

I think I still hate the Supermarket one a little more though.

Bobby's World and Adventure Time come to mind

Oh yeah, that shitfest too

Is it any wonder they have 11 kids when the first moment they get five minutes away from them, their first plan is "go fuck in the pool"

How adorable, the dad looks just like the boss man.

I think her lady parts are emitting dust by this point.

Mormons, amirite?

The show is decent. The fanbase is disturbing.

Well I didn't watch Bobby's World and I don't remember AT doing anything like that but I stopped watching AT once I realized it had become shit so I assume it was a later episode.

Amazing how quick Sup Forums forgets what he did to Dexter's Lab because his below-average cartoon gives you waifus.

>Well I didn't watch Bobby's World
Only kids who were molested by their grandpa and then begged for more watched that show.

Guess that solves that mystery.

Note: Also applies to anyone who was into Harry Potter

That's a very large number of people user.

Savino won't let us forget about that either. He literally even has a character that's R63 Dexter because we all want to be reminded of Season 2 DL.

Worst girl.

i don't like it.

I don't like the show because it's entire Sup Forums fanbase seems to be composed of pedophiles, incestfags, and/or only children who don't know how shit having even one sibling is.

I suspect this is a classic Simpsons reference.

honestly wouldn't care either fucking way IF any of the rule 34 resulting from this weren't crap

that said: i don't like the show either.

We also now have MILFfags.

Pretty much the best cartoon on TV right now, and its ratings and content creation reflect on it. Great animation, stellar voice acting, plots that are very engaging. The only downside is that cocksucker Kevin Sullivan putting out the occasional "Lincoln gets shit on" episode. It also makes the sort of references that adults only get, be it racy jokes or callbacks to songs/TV shows from older eras, and it does it tastefully not tactless like Steven Universe shoving Sanic in your face.

Anyone telling you otherwise is likely just a CN fanfag. You can spot their posts by the wolf-crying about pedos and incest, when they said the same exact thing about Gravity Falls. Like liberals with the "Every Republican candidate is like Hitler!" thing, it got old years ago and everyone but them realizes it.

*ahem*
What is your honest opinion on the SHOW. Not the fandom.

I've never watched an episode but I keep hoping for tasteful hardcore softcore in these threads

Skinnydipping wasn't invented by the Simpsons, user.

It was invented by Steven Skinny!

Basically described every show and fanbase in the world

Hey, fuck you. Its not my fault you never had a hot sister. Incest is awesome.

I like all the porn this show spawned

>and/or only children who don't know how shit having even one sibling is.

Two brothers, and it's been nothing but awesome.

Dubs confirm, incest is top tier fetish

It's not a fetish you nigger. It's love.

Sup Forums has a hate boner for it like every other currently airing show out there.
I fucking hate cartoons.

And Sup Forums hates videogames

I love both, so why do I frequent these two boards the most?

So why does this have a perverted pedo fanbase anyway? Plenty of shows have kids, but not all of them have fanbases that want to fuck them.

>Plenty of shows have kids, but not all of them have fanbases that want to fuck them.
First week on the internet I'm guessing?

They don't have constant porn generals on /trash/.

What's the deal? Why are these particular cartoon kids so much sexier than the rest?

It's more like /trash/ is the only place where people are allowed to make cartoon generals and TLH just so happens to have quite a few fans. Yeah there's porn but surprisingly a lot of the ACTUALLY GOOD PORN is of the older sisters. I mean, shit you got like 9 girls to work with.

It's a comfy show to watch.

I think it's funny, has some good characters and witty dialogue.

I also enjoy browsing /tlhg/ threads on /trash/, the fandom is good because incest :D

Your a masochist
