I'm thinking of going as Pat for Halloween. Gimme some fun ideas.

I got the raincoat, the axe, the suit. Thinking about getting his card, and that's it.
Only fun thing I came up with was to put Bateman's favourite pop songs on the party playlist and whenever it plays I go around giving music facts, I think I've memorized the Huey Lewis speech.

whoa

Either they didn't hear, misheard, or just ignored it.

When he calls the barmaid an ugly bitch, it's in a noisy club
When he tells Paul Allen he's a murderer, Paul is totally drunk
When he tells that dumb broad he's into murders and executions she mishears him
When he tells his lawyer he's a murderer, his lawyer brushes it off as a joke

The only time when someone reacts genuinely is the asian laundromat lady he threatens to kill, and in fact that one scene shows that the threats aren't in his head.

Let's see my dubs

No can do, got an 8:30 res at Dorsia

grrrreat. See Urcheen, Sir Viche?

Makes sense.

Dubs

So everything was real? The sequel imply it.

Paul Allen was superior, prove me wrong

This is a big point of the movie too, how his psychopathy and insanity are completely on everyone's faces and yet everyone chooses, or are unable to,see it

>Discuss this film

No thanks, but you can check these trips!

Paul Allen got a reservation at Dorsia
>moms gonna freak

I like how the opening scene he is laying on a bed of roses and he fucked his daughters friend

Who had the best card and why was it Paul Allen?

trips

Timothy and David had literally no idea what they are doing with their cards like what were they even thinking

I like this movie but it was over-rated. The book was better.

>They're all Vice Presidents
>They all work at the same place
>They all have the same phone number

wew

And his apartment was obviously more expensice than that dork Bateman's

That subtle off white coloring. That raised lettering. It even has a watermark.

What exactly was his job?

have you even watched the movie you spastic

That would be funny if you are surrounded by people who gets it. If not then it sounds a bit awkward.

wtf david & timothy get your shit together

Yeah but the asian lady doesn't speak his language. She reacts to the tone, not to what he said.
The only ones that really knows he's a creep are the hookers. But they can't say shit because they are hookers

He explicitly says them. A huge point to the entire book and film is that the environment he lives in, as in yuppy, corporate Wall street, is so self absorbed and superficial that no one pays attention when he says things like that.

Paul Allen got an axe to his face.

Reading porn mags, listening to hip music, dinning, partying and slicing. Did you see the movie?

As a teenager i had trouble with the ending. Did he really go on a killing rampage and shot the police and nobody cared because that was the point of the story. Or it didn't happen?

He actually does, and it's tense in the book AND the film precisely because he's potentially facing consequences for his actions.
But basically him calling his lawyer and confessing and it being laughed at is more of a point that even after all that, he still doesn't get caught.
It's also important at that point because it shows what happens when Bateman has to confront how fucked up he is, that he's scared and alone. But again, the shallowness of the upper-class, yuppie circle means it gets taken as a joke. No one believes it was him because he's rich, and to those people, the idea that someone they know could be a psychopath is so absurd that it's impossible.
Its really something genius to read and to watch.

I've only read the book.

There's also the idea that psychopathy is so common in that circle(Paul Allen is an obvious sociopath, just not violent) that Bateman's madness is merely a drop in a sea. In a society where everyone is insane and dehumanized, even a madman like Patrick fails to shock anyone.

Ive got something to show you

Now let's check Paul Allen's dubs

>No dubs on the phone number.

I checked yours. Now you check mine.
