Minority Report came out 15 years ago

>Minority Report came out 15 years ago

How does it hold up so well? Especially for a scifi movie.

literally perfect

>Cruisekino
>Cool and believable technology, slightly futuristic but not outlandish hologram garbage everywhere
>Poses some actual philosophical quandaries i.e. should people be punished for crimes they've yet to commit
>Overall solid performances and script

I was pretty fucking upset when they tried to cash in that shitty TV drama tie-in a couple of years ago, although I think it failed miserably.

Not only that, but the actual visual fidelity and CGI look like it was made much more recently. Why does CGI suck these days?

Because today's CGI is done in India and South Korea to save money and get greater returns. You don't have passionate workers who care about the final product like we had in the early 2000s with films like Minority Report or the LotR trilogy.

Here's the main reason: Tom Cruise.

The color grading doesn't. Way too 90's/00's and makes me want to vomit

Except it looks fucking trash?
I have no clue what they were thinking bleaching all the colors out so hard.

Scientologists deserve the rope

Because it's a PKD story. His shit be timeless mang.

Scientologists dindu nuffin

They mostly keep all their whacky shit to themselves. They're not volatile like muslims or evilly corrupt like kikes

I almost thought it was a boring flick like most Asimovian sci-fi trash

unadulterated tom kruise kino

>it's a PKD story
More like it's a PKD inspired story.

Better future noir than Blade Runner

Just about every decent sci-fi movie from the past decades has been PKD inspired.

It was only used on shit that computers could do well at the time.

its a great movie

Just imagine how much better it could have been if it had been the Total Recall sequel that Verhoven had planned.

If you make movies straight from th book, they come out like SYFy late night specials.

it was shit 15 years ago.
its still shit.
yeah its holding up bretty gud.

my prediction is that it will be shit in 50 years from now.

whereas electric dreams has been awful

hahaha okay

bretty much

You shut your whore mouth!
"Real Life" was positively kinographic

I saw it with my older brother when I was a kid. I thought it was shit and he thought it was kino.
We have very similar tastes though.

Is it worth a rewatch now as an adult?

yes

It's better than the MI circlerjerk crap.
