Who is the best living director?

Who is the best living director?

Zack Snyder

von Trier

Michael Bay

Sam Raimi

Spike Lee

andrew dominik

PTA.

The Coen brothers, as if you need to ask.

Quentin "I'm not an ass man, I'm not a breast man, I'm a foot man" Tarantino

why do these stupid collages have shit mainstream directors/actors/actresses?

It's like someone just dragged them out from facebook. Fuck this

Apichatpong Weerasethakul

>no PTA

pleb list

Martin Scorsese and Michael Mann are my favorites.

cuck

Fincher for making even the most pleb type of shit seem meaningful and interesting.

But between all of these only Tarantino makes captivating entertainment, even though some of his dialogue style has become kind of predictable e.g. Hateful Eight (nigger this nigger that, suck on black dingus, the subtleties of stew, etc.)

Nolan tries hard but often goes full-retard with at least a handful of scenes in most of his recent movies. Villeneuve is too fucking slow, but I still appreciate his overal style, and for being able to tag along that one DP guy in most of his projects.

Cameron can choke on a dick with his blue Pocahontas elves - and for ruining cinemas with his shitty 3d tech. He's dead to me because he won't produce anything good while he's stuck to that retarded shit of his, and that's going to be at least another decade.

Scorcese is almost like Spielberg of late, just with more edgy subject material. Technically a good director, but his movies don't linger around long in my mind.

David Lunch

on that list my favorite is fincher but i haven't seen gone girl and Sup Forums says it's garbage

How are we grading them by? If it's by their entire career then Scorsese is by far the best.

The Wachowski Sisters

Nolan

Villeneuve

Cameron, not even close.

came here to post this
The Master > There Will Be Blood

PTA

imagine the argument between them

Marty

You rang?

I love his style. Questionable material but I believe his decisions are effected by depression. He's an auteur of the highest caliber.

The Holy Trinity of Modern Cinema

"Big Al" Weerasethakul
Lars von Trier
David Lynch
Hou Hsiao-hsien
Michael Haneke
James Gray

These are pleb options.

If it's going to be an American it's either Lynch or Malick.

Michael Bay

In the US it's PTA.

Lol no.

Our boy Lynch.
Love him.

Wanna fight?

>Hack Snyder
>being on any list other than a “most overrated directors” list

>cuck core kino

This man lost his edge. Bronson was the last good film he has done.

If you disagree you've been blinded by your hate and plebness.

The only correct answer

...

Wtf

Scorsese
Haneke
Weir
Kar-wai

Except that's his worst movie and everything after is a masterpiece.
