What's the hold up Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon?

Are you dumb?

These books are fan-fic thier, but I think it can work

Masters of Rome

Percy Jackson series.

Pumping those movies out to cash in on Harry Potter was a mistake, a show would have actually lasted the first run.

do u read sutter cane?

Kek

The only correct answer.

Discworld obviously

Pic related could be fun.
The only downside is that you'd need a lot of indian actors if you want to portray the characters accurately. Also the third book is the weakest in my opinion.

This book series is literally babby's first lovecraft, it would be interesting as a YA series.
I think it's pretty hard to adapt and keep it for kids though. There are things that fly in books that just don't work in live action. Like child mercy killings.

Forgot pic.

...

This series in general

Don't know why this isn't here yet.

I thought no one else read these

Wtf was that? Did they develop it into a whole series? Or just that one pilot?

there was a mini series on sify i think

Just a shitty pilot done in order to keep the rights.

So this is happening. Always thought it would make for a great /flick/ but never a series.

because the writing is shit

0 percent chance it will be right like it was when I read but

could be good

The Black Company, this could feasibly happen
Malazan book of the fallen could never happen, but if it could, it would be the best

Are they planning to do more with it? I read some rumors about a series some time back I think, but didn't seem like it would ever happen.

Stormlight would be great if there was anyone who could adapt it properly

>I like this book and think it's really good!
>therefore I need it to be a movie or a tv show

How much of a brainlet do you even have to be to think this way?

Well, gee user, *tugs braid* I dunno
*wets lips*

I just hope Thoms Mustaches and Cloak looks realistic

...

I would settle as long as it's above average and not Merlin tier fantasy series.

step aside here comes the lotr of japan

Considering his success, I'd be surprised if I don't see a Sanderson TV adaption in my lifetime.

Tbh, an anime series would fit his themes more, than a western telly show..

Might be happening, although I hope it gets stuck in development hell.

Also, Kingkiller is being adapted and they intend to do the same thing that was originally planned with The Dark Tower - a series and a movie or some shit like that. Can't wait to see how wrong it all goes.

>rothfuss' felurian wet dream

Animated Edge Chronicles fucking when?

because i'm finishing the last book so why not

Szeth vs Kaladin was pure anime, right down to the environment they were fighting in.

If I had to guess a live action adaption, it would probably be Reckoners. Especially with the capeshit tide going on.

the scale of lore might be too much for a film, maybe a series of films
id be up for a band of brothers type story about regular imperial guardsmen tho

Unironically I'd like to see Abercrombie's "First Law" trilogy.

Ironically they should do "The Night Angel" and I'd love for it to be lauded as the next big fantasy series after GoT.
Couldn't force myself to finish the second book due to the awful humor and Kylar's raging hormones. The edginess was also too much, which is saying something because I even like Malazan.
