I admit it. Wanna read?

...Sure why not

I've also written 7 novels

What's with all the Billy and Mandy threads today?

Sprite comics counts as fanfiction?

archiveofourown.org/works/9350660

If you want, let me know what you think

Yep! I checked.

My fanfiction was inspired and detached. You couldn't tell what its based around, despite how generic it is.
>140 pages of everquest inspired descending into madness adventures with every inch of acquired "magic armor" with a cute dragon that grows up in the story

I was a proactive 17 year old that used "can't" and all the other "n't" words way too much. Editing it has been terrible. But on the uphand, I extend it 5 pages for every 1 page of editing with extra character interaction.

It'll never be done.......

Are they erotic tales about falling in love with /tg/ levels of weird shit?

Only twice, and just recently, and it was pornographic.

Why deny it?

Of course. There's no shame in that.

I grew up on older Marvel comics, and didn't read any of the 90s stuff until way later. I wrote a fanfic about the return of Norman Osborn, not realizing that they already did that. Oddly enough, it wasn't exactly far off how they actually did it, and I was 13 at most.

Admit it, he says. Like it's the worst thing people on Sup Forums regard as their dark secret.

Most of what's on Sup Forums IS fanfiction. Lunatics have taken over the asylums with comics to shove their own OCs and ideas into them, cartoons that are remade are basically just fanfics and not even fanfics by fans of the original show. The way movies and new shows follow the leader or the previous movie by the studio means it's just "Story X but with plot Y except Character Z is a heterosexual snowman/gay rabbit/literal hitler/lego batman/poop emoji/smug koala/lego hitler/foetal alcohol syndrome victim/different ethnicity for no really valid reason at all especially when it adds new characters/gay snowman hitler."

I wrote and finished years ago two lengthy, M-rated slashfics of Rio with lots of gay bird fluff and sex.

No regrets.

Though, most topics about fanfiction seem to get deleted.

>that one thing you like that has nearly no fanfiction
What's her name, Sup Forums?

I write shipping stories about the Teen Titans cartoon, the Flash show, Big Hero 6, Miraculous Ladybug, and Volta on Legendary Defender. I'm a male in my 20s.

>cartoons that are remade are basically just fanfics and not even fanfics by fans of the original show

Worst offender: All newer Scooby Doo series/movies. You can tell these are all made by people who wanted to fuck Velma when they were kids.

i don't really have a connection to Gravity Fall so i don't have an opinion, but i thought this one was cute:

Thanks. Anything that stands out about it?

I did. I had 180+ thousand views on mine last time I checked.

I'm writing some board-tan fanfiction

Here's what Stan Lee said about fanfiction:

"All these young guys we hire at Marvel come up to me and tell me out excited they are to write Spiderman or Hulk or whatever stories, and I'll say to them 'But why do you want to write for my characters so much?' When I was a kid, I loved Superman and Batman and the Green Lantern, but I didn't write stories about them, I created Spiderman and the Hulk and the Thing."

S I once had the idea to make my own rewrite of Next Avengers, I had a Torunn story done with but I could never get the drive to start the real thing.

What if you write both fanfiction and original fiction?

>but I didn't write stories about them, I created Spiderman and the Hulk and the Thing
Funny way of saying "I stole characters created by Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko."

I envisioned a Simpsons timeskip almost on the scale of Cordless's stuff, but it's mostly all in my head and I've written down very little of it.

ya sure

but I never wrote any really good ones and never finished anything longer than a one shot, I have better ideas than writing ability as is true of most people here

Yep, I want to get back into it. It was fun. But every new idea I come up with feels too generic or done before and I don't feel like sorting out or finishing what I got.

I also can't seem to write anything but crossovers.

jokes on you, I never follow through with any or my plans

Heres an idea for ya

trying to.

Stop.

Sorry, I have only seen Danny Phantom and Kim Possible. Although I know enough to probably get by with the other three.

never finished them

Yeah. Had a super-popular Naruto fanfiction (because I was a cringy piece of shit) and wrote myself into a corner. Just straight up abandoned it.

I did, and I still do. I just wish I didn't fall off the horse with my older fanfics and kept on writing stuff. I get desires to continue them, but then it requires trying to remember where I was going with them.

Link.

No. But I will soon.

I once created an Excel Spreadsheet listing out the details and story arcs of all 50 characters in my story.

After finishing it I never touched the story again.

i wrote fanfiction OF YO MAMA

Not a fucking chance.

COME ON!

What's the point of an anonymous image board if I link identifying shit?

Cthulhu Mythos crossovers. With actual Horror, not just throwing the Necronomicon and some Deep Ones in.

I wrote a Simpsons fic that was pretty good (not a timeskip). The jokes were good and I got everyone's characterizations down pretty accurately, but I overdid it with callbacks to classic season episodes, and then I never finished it.

A-plot was about Mr. Burns hiring these Japanese nuclear technicians, but they turn out to actually be incompetents fired from Fukishima who are now hiding from the heat in America. They accidentally flood the nuclear plant with radioactive waste (along with a little Homer stupidity), Lenny gets blamed and fired. Homer feels guilty and decides to find security camera footage to prove that the two nips and not Lenny did it.

B-plot. Lisa meets a girl at school who's richer and has nicer shit than her, also her family are hippie nudists. Lisa gets annoyed that her family is poor and Marge won't let her walk around the house naked.

You'll still be anonymous generally beyond this thread.

The Order: 1886.

The A plot is pretty original, the B plot is one the show has abused to death thousands of times.

Luckily I was too lazy to follow through with actually writing any fanfic
But I did read petite horse fics. No I am not proud

Sure. I used to write a lot of MLP fanfiction.

It's very, for lack of a better phrase, on model. Like if there was Super Mario show nowadays, except for the smoking reference it's exactly how I'd imagined an episode would go. Did feel a bit rushed with the word count but otherwise I liked it.

Shut the fuck up, you two.

yes

fanfiction.net/s/11731712/1/doomguy-fucks-a-cacodemon

Indeed. Erotic Steven Universe fiction, wherein Lars was fucked in the ass by a futanari Priyanka Maheswaran, and another where the doctor diddles Steven.

When I was about 14 I wrote a Powerpuff Girls anal vore fic with Blossom and Fuzzy Lumpkins.

So I guess general SU fanfiction?

>Lisa meets a girl at school who's richer and has nicer shit than her, also her family are hippie nudists. Lisa gets annoyed that her family is poor and Marge won't let her walk around the house naked

You had to do it. You just had to do it, didn't you?

Never ever change, Sup Forums.

I don't dare continue this. I don't know why I started it.
fimfiction.net/story/173028/cutie-mark-scp-catchers-yay

I tried to, but never finished any.

Looking back, all my ideas for stories were cringy, Coldsteel-tier shit, and yet I kinda wish I could at least one. But with more self-consciousness come even less ideas.

Yeah, I know Lars getting dommed by every Gem or MILF with a dongle is pretty common.

...wonder if any have had Connie doing so.

> steven is still banned from TV

> trying to play video games while amethyst tells him what's happening on-screen

> a tech focused gem escapes the bubble room and turns TV into a monster

> he fights it without looking by utilizing the broken lapis mirror amethyst held onto

> decides to unplug it

> steven is ungrounded

kinda, never really wrote any of it out beyond basic synopses though, just brainstormed a ton of ideas, heck I still do it

that is an incredibly outdated concept, Steven hasn't been grounded from TV since the beginning of Season 2

Personally, it's just something I find fitting for Rosalina.

You're not wrong

perfect

I want to write something based on this picture. After all, Ronaldo abducted Steven and has proven to be a nuisance on numerous occasions.

I've actually never gone all the way into writing a whole story because I don't like doing dialogue, but I spend a lot of time coming up with pitches and outlines.

I'm only interested in serious attempts to reboot or improve a continuity though, never had an interest in the erotica or AU-where-a-crackship-happenss or Mary Sue self-insert stories that define what fanfiction is to most people.

yeah i'm not gonna lie, i have wtritten fanfiction

The show didn't resolve it at that point, I really wanted him off the hook, and I had nothing for my daily lyric writing excersizes.

Well, there was this One Direction troll fic several years ago about them getting lost in the woods and haunted by Creepypastas. I did some shoops to accompany the chapters.

Dialog is simple, the hard part is figuring out how to advance a plot and how to wrap it up.

>I'm only interested in serious attempts to reboot or improve a continuity though, never had an interest in the erotica
Smut is fine if it serves a purpose to the plot and the characters are written semi-believably.

Just kill characters.

Yeh but the problem with most smutfics is that 90% of the time, they're just the author self-inserting.

i got like... at least five people to jerk off so i'm happy with that

I admit it, but thankfully I don't have to live with it since Chaoticgame shut down. Nothing Sup Forums related anyway, I remember making a Kirby fanfic that went nowhere and a Chaotic fanfic that seemed a bit popular but I don't believe I ever finished it.

I wrote a lot of fapfiction in my day. I'm going to guess hundreds of people or more jerked off.

But nobody ever told me, so I never really know.

I shouldn't say I don't like writing it. I like writing dialogue just fine when I'm writing for my own characters in an original work. But for fan fiction, I always fear that I'm not getting the characters' "voice" right.

It's prose that I really hate to write, because I hate to read it, novels aren't my preferred form of lit. I prefer to work in screenplay format where you can summarize the action instead of worrying about making sure the reader can picture every detail vividly.

I can safely admit I never wrote any fanfiction.

Doesn't mean I didn't have a shit ton of self insert stories floating around in my brain grapes for every damn show I watched.

The Simpsons is one of the harder shows to write fanfics for, while something like TLH is simple.

You have to watch enough episodes of a cartoon to get a feel for the characters. If it's a show you know intimately, it's pretty easy to know what X character would or wouldn't do.

Also, can't say I've ever had a hard time with any part of plot. Which is why that's most of what I write. My whole process becomes "If I was retelling Superman's origin, here's how I'd fuckin' do it...and now that I've explained what happens in each scene and why, does someone else want to do it for me?"

And of course no one does.

do it on your own lol

>If it's a show you know intimately, it's pretty easy to know what X character would or wouldn't do.

You'd think that.

I know a lot of writers talk about their process and say that they can hear the characters practically writing themselves in their heads...but I fear I may have Bendis Disease.

Cartoon writing is generally a collaborative effort, one guy alone in front of a computer can't come up with Krusty Krab Training Video. It takes a bunch of professional writers all in a room together bouncing ideas off each other. That's the big reason fanfiction rarely lives up to the best episodes of the source material.

Bendis disease?

So what you're saying is all of Sup Forums should get together and write a cartoon.

Yeah, y'know. Like Bendis.

Bendis the writer.

I'm writing one right now, actually.

Nope. Never wrote fanfiction. I might have dreamt up my own stories for certain Sup Forums characters. But I'm not autistic enough to put that shit into writing.

>Cannibalism

On the other hand, fanfic writers don't have to worry about direction, animation, storyboard(er)s, budget, etc.

Plus,
>Krusty Krab Training Video.
An episode that hinges heavily on the visual aspect and little on the story in the first place. Not really the best example imho.

was it's name ice cold or some shit like that, because that seems to fit your very vague details

>On the other hand, fanfic writers don't have to worry about direction, animation, storyboard(er)s, budget, etc.

Or for that matter, Nickelodeon telling them they can't show...I'll leave that to your imagination.

...

currently reading a brilliantly written, 1 million word long, emotional thrill ride powerpuff girls fanfic and feeling no shame in that
