There are two things among the large cavalcade of entities that have tried to murder him that the latest Ghost Rider detests most of all: Hulking Brutes and Knife-Armed Women.
So unfortunately for Amadeus Cho (The Totally Awesome Hulk) and Laura Kinney (The All-New Wolverine), they're about to have a good old fashioned Marvel Team-Up...with the grill of Robbie's flaming car.

This rubs me as kinda an awful idea, I get wanting to set up a team through a book, but so fucking early into the book? This shit actually harming my interest in the book and I like Robbie.
There weren't any solicits for a new FF or Circle of Four book, so unless this arc was Smith's idea and is doing this purely because he likes the idea of doing so, I can't picture why Marvel wanted this team up.
And yeah, that's pretty good.

Laura's been around for over a decade and is easily one of Marvel's most popular and well known legacy characters. Cho's also been around for years as a supporting character, most notably for Hercules, so I don't really feel like he's filling a quota or part of affirmative action, even more so now that Jen has taken up the main mantle. The Spider family is ridiculously large now, and if you've only read Silk from Slott then I can totally understand the disdain, but she's been great in her solo and I'm happy to see her here.
That being said, even while I'm a huge fan of all these characters I can agree that this team up shouldn't have been the opening arc, especially at the expense of Robbie who is by and large the newest of these characters and could still benefit a great deal from some additional fleshing out and development. This will especially feel like a waste if we don't even get a New FF title, since then this will probably be the only time we ever see these guys interact.
The storyline is fine, Robbie and his supporting cast are depicted well alongside his central conflict with Eli, there just isn't enough of it in each issue in favor of monster hunting. I can kind of see where there head is at when they want a bunch of guest stars to prop the book up and bring in fans from other series to try and increase sales and visibility, but I think Robbie's story if given the proper time and focus is a much bigger draw and they only risk alienating his fans by focusing so much on cameos.
Tempering my expectations, so long as he gets at least 2-3 trades worth of issues past this FF stuff, I'll be happy. Hopefully they give Smith that chance.

Robbie only meets all 3 of the team members by the Last issue of the team up.
It's so fucking weird, because the pacing and structure specifically feels like it's the jumping off point for a full series, like an origin story for a team basically, but there's no FF solicits.

I can only hope that 5 is a giant upswing in quality. Robbie's supporting cast has been left in the dust. Even Gabe has been absent.

How does Cho not know who Angel is? She's wearing a Wolverine outfit, he can't just assume it's a random guy called Angel, it's very clearly the X-men who Cho would very obviously know

Cut out some of the excess stuff the focuses on Robbie himself and save it for issues 1 and 2 of the ghost rider book proper and just focus wholly on Hulk in LA teaming up with the rest of Not!CircleofFour with Robbie as a reappearing local threat that outclasses everyone except hulk.

I'm starting to think this was originally proposed to be an arc in either Cho's book or Laura's and got shoved into Ghost Rider after the creative teams on those books rejected using their books for it
Ghost Rider had a toyline back in the 90's though, and if a general MU toyline lasts long enough it inevitably includes at least one Ghost Rider figure somewhere down the line
It's just, it's a 4 issue arc, and Silk wasn't even introduced until the third issue and won't meet Robbie until the last one.
