Agreed but right now he's basically just a cult indie director with a couple foreign action movies under his belt. The Raid 2 underperformed for its budget and the fact that it got a fairly wide theatrical release in the US. If he gets a mainstream hit, especially with a superhero property, he might get more money and more freedom to make what he wants in Hollywood. Maybe even a bigger budget for Raid 3.
