Mr Heston, what about this little girl?

Mr Heston, what about this little girl?

I thought this was powerful when I was 11. What was wrong with me?

children's emotions are easily manipulated.

What about her?

A girl got run over by a truck, ban all trucks.

>600 children get run over by VW bugs in Chicago

>A little too old for my taste. What about her?

What about Raven?

kek

what the fuck

I'm not for banning guns, but your argument is fucking retarded. Guns are specifically made to kill (deer, hogs, bears, humans, etc.) Cars are made to go from A to B.

I felt similarly when I first watched it, before I read about how much he manipulated everything about that doc and it was all bullshit.

This ignores the fact that many guns are not actually designed to kill anything. Some of mine were designed just to be effective competition guns for instance.

Cars are made to drive, what they drive into is up to the user
Guns are made to shoot, what they shoot at is up to the user

How about something more applicable? You wouldn't steal a car?

Knives are meant to cut.

This, little kids will believe anything as long as it comes from an authority figure.

how dare you mr heston, you're a bad bad man mr heston, you should think about all those kids mr heston and feel baaad because you did this you bad man.

>be austrialia/UK
>ban guns
>violent gun crime decreases
>overall violent crime does not decrease
>non-violent gun-crime increases

dude if we ban murder no one will murder anyone again

Far more children die in swimming pool accidents every year than by guns. You don't NEED a swimming pool. Swiming pools are not protected by the constitution. But none of these assholes want to ban swimming pools.

SWIMMING POOLS AREN'T MEANT FOR DROWNING SHITLORD

How about you tell that to Sweden, they were talking about banning trucks from city centres to stop truck of peace attacks, not even meming

There's a lot of faggy regulations for swimming pools actually. Like you're required to have a door alarm so some kid doesn't go out the door and wander into the pool while no one is paying attention that everyone just unhooks until an inspector comes by.

The difference between drowning vs swimming is even thinner than the difference between shooting paper targets vs defending rights against murderous criminals vs shooting kid. What your truly afraid of is responsibility.

those are state laws. There are no federal regulations for pools.

Assault with a car is considered "assault with a deadly WEAPON"

their native animals make them used to non-gun killings

Nobody designs a gun explicitly for mass shootings just like nobody designs cars to run people over, why does the fact that guns can also be used to murder a bunch of people invalidate their legitimate intended purpose if the same isn't true for cars?

>Be Australia/UK
>ban guns
>live in totalitarian police nanny state

What is it with Australians and laws, living there sounds like a fucking nightmare
>Gun ownership is super restricted
>Retarded pub lockout laws
>Can't even play ball at the beach
>Can't own normal nerf guns
>Holding something as simple as a neighbourhood barbecue involves so much red tape that it's almost unmanageable

>nobody designs a gun explicitly for mass shootings
wrong, automatic rifles and the like were specifically designed to be able to kill multiple targets in a very short period of time.

but still, guns shouldn't be banned. retarded people should be. like you. get the fuck out of my country you beaner

>mfw this is actually what libtards believe
>mfw they have never heard of suppression and think war is like video games

they also banned porn with small boobs

And thats why automatic weapons are, for the most part, banned and incredibly hard to acquire

Remember how he interviewed Matt Stone and cut it together with a shitty South Park-style rip off cartoon implying that they made it?

>the gatling gun was designed specifically for rapid fire in warfare since even before the Civil War
>M1914 was designed in WW2 to be a class to mow down enemy lines, provide suppressing fire, and to shoot at tanks
kek. You shame us real conservatives. Likely a Trumptard. at least learn your history.

but they shouldn't ban them either way

shill detected

>gun ownership is super restricted
True
>retarded pub lockout laws
Not a problem for anyone but troublemakers
>cant even play ball at the beach
Never, EVER been told to stop by lifeguards or police
>cant own normal nerf guns
Childrens toys
>neighbourhood barbeque red tape
Never heard of the red tape on this, doubt it would be enforced

The worst thing is we have slower average internet speeds than African countries. Our government sold the entire telecommunications infrastructure to one company who monopolized for decades and never upgraded, so in 2017 we have decades old copper wires in the ground for both phone and internet. The government has spent billions of dollars "upgrading" to fibre thats been a complete failure. The capital city and some places in the fucking bush have fibre, while im 20 minutes from the city and paying $70 a month for 1mbps up/down

Actually, they aren't banned. The sale is banned, but owning it is not.

Yeah that 30 round magazine sure is useful for target practice. That's what all competitive marksmen use.

Amazing how Heston was fighting Alzheimer's at the time and still managed to be a thousand times the "man" Michael Moore is.

>NBN

God damn it I hate the govt for this. I just want good ping in Counterstike while streaming hentai in a separate window. Is that too much to ask?

>the government
technically, most of it is state legislation that allows telecommunications to have monopolies, which under the constitution the states have a right to do.

Unless if telecommunications was declared a public utility, in which case, the federal government would have power over it. But too bad that you have Ajit Pai as the FCC chair now.

see

We share that same pain in Canada too.
Three providers control basically all telecoms and give absolutely third world-tier garbage service, and they actually own most of the infrastructure too so anybody else who wants to get into the business has to pay them to use their lines.
Meanwhile protectionist federal laws prevent any foreign-owned companies from coming in to offer actual competition.

literally tens of thousands rapes and burglaries are stopped/prevented every year due to people having guns. if you depend on police to protect you, you're a braindead numbskull, they're just fucking governments assholes with guns.

you mean there might be even more of you fuckers shitposting once you get good internet?

Cars are dangerous and owning one is a huge responsibility. Therefore the government has lots of regulations pertaining to cars and requires that all cars be registered.

Guns are dangerous and owning one is a huge responsibility...

If only conservatives knew how to logic.

>choosing to live in fear

I bet you have a tiny penis.

And yet unlike a car you actually have to pass a background check to buy a gun.

The screenshot where moot accused Australians of being shitposters was a shoop.

Unless you go to a gun show and buy yours from a "private dealer".

Fuck that sucks, I used to get speeds like that in Wisconsin until we finally got a decent ISP out here a couple years back.

America will never get rid of its guns. The last defence against a full scale invasion is an entite country armed and ready to defend it

Fuck off cunt.

actually, the majority reason for registration of cars has to do with taxes and tax collection.

although criminality is part of it, the biggest reason for it originally was for money

That's not how it works. ALL dealers have to perform background checks on buyers, regardless of where the sale takes place.
You are referring to private sales between average joes, which do not legally require background check because there is no fucking way to enforce such a law. A few states have tried, and everybody just laughed and ignored the law.

He was talking about Australia ding-a-ling. Learn how to follow a thread.

I know you're being sarcastic, but that really is what most people use "high capacity" magazines for.
Having to constantly stop and load more bullets into a magazine is annoying.

>just like nobody designs cars to run people over
>he's never heard of a bulldozer

Yup. Car registration is all about money for the the state DoT.

>automatic rifles
>gatling guns
>machine gun
way to prove my point retard

This is true.
Any competitive sport shooting involving semiauto rifles (see: a shitload of popular varieties) is basically ruined by magazine capacity laws here in canuckistan. Imagine shooting three-gun, but your AR15 mags only hold 5 rounds each.
For no tangible benefit to anybody.

>For no tangible benefit to anybody.
BUT IT PROTECTS THE CHILDREN

t. Marvin "The Killdozer" Heemeyer

A fair point

But I can still go to a gun show and find plenty of average joes willing to sell. Bypassing government restrictions. I can't do this with a car since even if I buy from a private party I have to register it.

Btw, I'm not saying mandatory registration is a perfect solution to everything.

The point is that the "gun show loophole" is a fallacy. Sure, you can buy a gun privately at a show, but you can also do it literally anywhere else. A gunshow isn't a magical, unique place where criminals can pick up guns with no questions asked (and btw you'll find that virtually everybody selling anything at a gunshow is a licensed dealer).

>everybody selling anything at a gunshow is a licensed dealer

I ain't got licenses for these big guns, boi *unzips dick*

Ya, watch "Why Michael Moore hates America" or whatever. He really is full if shit and I've been following him from the early 90s

In every one of his docs that I've watched too he always seems to jerk off over Canada being better in whatever the topic is.
I always wondered why he doesn't just fucking move here since he clearly hates his own country so much (not that I'd want him to).

newfags

The average American car kills more people than the average American gun.

There something like 400 million "high capacity" magazines in homes and on the market. Let's softball it and see if you can name, say, 40 times when high capacity magazines were used by a civilian to "mow down a crowd of people". I won't bother waiting, but apparently, 400 million (minus about 6) magazines are, in fact, used for target shooting and not for mowing down crowds of people.

Mr. Moore, what about this little girl?

Then he'd have to pay Canadian taxes.

>but you can also do it literally anywhere else

Not really. Nowhere else can I find such a large collection of privately sold guns to choose from.

>never been to Switzerland
>never been to the Congos

granted, the CIA armed Congo

Number of times used isn't a good indicator of design intent.

By that logic you could say that only two nuclear bombs have been used in warfare compared to the thousands that have been detonated.

>town has horrible shooting
>go to that town and have a pro gun rally
I mean to be fair Heston was an asshole.

That was actually more bullshit by Moore
The rally happened almost a year after that shooting as part of an unrelated campaign, and the speech actually contained a considerable portion expressing condolences for the tragedy which Moore chose not to show or mention.
IIRC he edited in clips from other rallies to try to make it seem even more insensitive and inflammatory.
He's a deceitful hack and I'd never trust anything he says or shows.

It wasn't a rally, it was an annual meeting that had already been scheduled several years in advance.
They were legally required to convene there for a set amount of time, which they did before cutting the event short.

>nobody has posted this yet

I should clarify,
Is referring to the one in Colorado
Is referring to the one in that other town.

Mass shootings don't even affect most people. I mean sure they suck but such a small number of people die to them yearly (it's cheating to include this year in the figure) so it's not a serious enough issue anyways.
