One you've understand the mystical nature of the cosmos and how reality as we usually interpret it is just a lie, you're a lot more open to sticking your dick in new places. Might be another dude, might be some chitinous alien sex fiend, might be the abstract personification of time. Or a pile of literal guts.

Plus new experiences, hedonism and taboo-breaking are generally useful for magical traditions.

Magic's for fags.

I wouldn't say they are, but it is kind of seen as a feminine power source I guess which may cause some bias

Magic is for poofters and women.
Real men smash shit with their fists or weapons.

magic is made for cutie witch girls

Because Crowley warped the current Age by sucking so many dicks.

That kinda depends on your cultural context. Even regionally it could be pretty different: magic is usually seen as feminine in Norse myths, but Finland has male magicians all over the place.

clearly you're not familiar with muscle wizards

Don't give us no sass or we'll kick your ass.

The heart, is the strongest muscle

Same thing as bears. They may be big and muscular but they're still fags.

I always imagine this guy as a powerful pervert-mage.

Ask him about his disappearing sausage trick.

Like who?

when things are getting demonized, all the things up againsst the wall tend to get combined into a single strawman. witchcraft isn't just devil worship, it's perverse and hedonistic and gay.

those associations linger long after the stigma has worn off parts of it.

and later you get people using such a stereotype as a way to write a story about one thing and be talking about another. which in turn reinforced that association stronger.

tl;dr if you're perverting one aspect of the natural order you're probably perverting all of them

Homosexuals co-opted most of humanity's major magical schools in the late 18th century and since them have restricted the knowledge to themselves, passing it down in a clannish tradition of pederasty. Before 1763 almost all magicians were red-blooded, manly heterosexuals who enjoyed nothing better than casting ethereal rites with their shaft deep betwixt the legs of a pretty young village maiden. But by the 1800s almost all wizards were fags, and that's why we have the world we live in now.

See also: superhuman martial arts (so-called "chi manipulation") and feminism. Siddhis are vagina-exclusive now, ever since Susan B. Anthony developed her ultra-lethal sex karate from widows in the British Raj who had stolen the secrets of aligning their bodies and chakras to deadly martial effect.

Men have been robbed of magic and kung-fu by fags, sissies and dames.

>he's a healer
>he brags that he's the most useful member of the party and has ego size of the planet when all he does is the easiest job imaginable and is constantly protected
Healcucks are the scum of the Earth.

This is gonna turn into a healslut thing isn't it?

Steven Strange is straight. Last I checked Zatanna is straight but knowing current-DC that could be different now.

who're all the gay magic users?

What a shame

it's because men are more physically capable, in build and design, that's why it's rare that a straight male, or even masculine male will be seen wielding magic, it doesn't gel with a 'strong' bodily design, and it's much easier to make female characters stand on equal terms with male ones if the female characters can focus their skillset on something that's not entirely physical-oriented.

so if it became more common for male characters, there'd be less for Female characters to do, so, that's a whole other can of worms this might be opening.

Doctor Doom
Doctor Strange
Doctor Voodoo
Daimon Hellstrom
Doctor Druid
Mordred the Mystic
Baron Mordo
Shaman

user said 'rare', not 'nonexistant'

Most of those names are pretty big though, where is the perception of rarity coming from?

because DIVERSITY

Only doom and strange are known

And doom is more of a science oriented one

They're more known than the gay ones or any females ones not named Zatanna. I would expect everyone posting in big 2 comic threads to know them without thinking about it. Fate is the only omission and there are different people who have worn the helmet so that seems like reason enough to exclude.

most versions of Doctor Fate are straight

Real, honest talk: magic has ALWAYS been seen as unmanly. For a lot of the reasons discussed already in this thread, it was seen as the provenance of women. A man who became enmeshed in magic was one who had sort of lost his masculinity.

This is a very old idea. It's why wizards are always depicted as old men. Old men=men no longer potent, no longer virile, so they have to be strong in other ways, womanly ways.

In a long Norse poem called the Lokasenna, Loki, the trickster and deceiver of the Norse gods, jests and banters with the rest of them. When he gets to Odin, king of the gods, he accuses him of being womanly, of being unmanly. Why? Because Odin practiced seidr--magic. Loki directly attacks Odin's masculinity because he practices a womanly art.

You're not too bright, huh.

No, I'm pretty stupid, honestly.

Alright, I'm being an asshole but Norse mythology =/= all mythology, like you have magicians like Gwydion or Vainamoinen or Enki in different mythologies who are definitely virile and masculine.

I don't think magic in Norse mythology is always seen as feminine either, like I don't think seidr = all Norse magic, but I don't know enough to argue the finer points of that.

List gay magic users then.

3 of the 4 Doctor Fate, Doctor Strange, Loki. . . depending on how you view "straight", Captain Marvel(no, I'm not calling him shazam). The fuck are you on about?

Remember that Odin wanted to learn ALL magic, and seer magic could be only learned by sucking dick and training under a seeress as a woman so he did that and Loki knew it. He is very right in talking shit with that one.

Also, the Norse thought regular magic was manly as fuck so youre just full of shit.

They're not, also they're not real.

It seems a trend on Sup Forums (and Sup Forums in general) to post a biased opinion in the form of a question.

You do know that adding a questionmark to your personal opinion doesn't actually make it a question?

If you honestly think none of those guys has sucked a cock at least once, you're fooling yourself.

Because magic is gay. Obviously.

Healers are the bottom sluts of the team, everybody knows that.

There need to be more female magic users (male)

Stop shitposting on Sup Forums Pence.

The only one I can think of is John Constantine, and he's bi.

Wiccan is a huge raging homosexual

better question
why do alchemists pretend that they are part of the magic user family when they are just scientists in denial. See Isaac Newton.

DOOM

if you specialize using magic ingredients you're part of the magic user family

Those do all sound like gay pornstar names, though.

jace, please leave.

I would read a comic set in this fantastical world.

Flex Mentallo.

does that make /x/ gayer than /lgbt/?

Let's not ever include any shapeshifters in straight/gay shit, its a goddamn fucking mess, a clerical eyesore, and stupid. Just call them 'fucking weirdos' and exempt them for it

Are there even any decently well known male mages outside of John and Wiccan who are bi or gay?

Finland doesn't count. Finland NEVER counts.

I know of at least three off the top of my head so they're not rare.

As Constantine says: Magic users are all a little touched.
Given magics propensity for requireing/drawing mental health issues it's no wonder fags and women are among them.

I think the better question is why the fuck all magic user women so damn stacked

The /his/torian in me is furious at this post. So fucking wrong it's painful.

It's hard to be gayer than /k/ and /fit/, really.

Care to clarify where he's wrong?

post the cum brownies screencap

Magic is a woman's art. Japs know this, why else do you think the vast majority of their magic users are women?

You could talk it from so many perspectives but here's a really burning issue: He considers Norse (and alludes to Arthurian) mythos as an accurate representation of all magic. Loads of societies had men that were revered for their magic.
From witch doctors and curse weilders to mystic warrior figures and so on.
You could also dismantle his argument of Merlyn too.
Loki used magic to trick people, and tricks are womanly but no one thought Perun or Thor as effeminate when they used battle magic.
Basically he's got confirmation bias.

>/k/
I know about /fit/ and Sup Forums and the like, but is /k/ gay too?

Not like you can fuck guns (male).

Large tits are made of dreams, which power magic, while little tits are made of hope.

But again, the japs have most magic being illusory. There's a mischaracterisation between magic the inherent and magic used for deciet. Poison was thought of as a women's weapon too.
It is always contextual on use. If the culture saw magic as the channeling ephemeral spirits and illusions then it was womanly. When they saw it as the ability to assert other worldy dominance it was seen in a different light.

Further a lot of cultures have a distinction and divide between men's magic and mysticism and women's magic and mysticsm.

I'm not sure why we're all just accepting that this is actually a well worn trope, last I checked the stereotypical wizard is still an implicitly celibate "life of the mind" type old dude

>can't fuck guns
>he hasn't seen Upotte!
Even gun companies are getting into the gun girl craze. Was it the Kriss that had one at their showing recently?

Womanly, or satanic, got it.

Witches, succubi, gay wizards, dick sucking demons, and satan. That's all magic is.

Leave it alone.

>satanic
Come now Chirstfag, do you even Nephlim?

Yeah, I think in the West there's always been a distinction between scholarly wizards studying the mysteries of the universe a la John Dee and feminine witchcraft

It's present in the east and in tribal beliefs as well.

>a race of "fallen angels" who intervened with humanity against the Will of God

What's your point?

It's called baitposting, user-kouhai.

Didn't Thor use to crossdress?

Or some kind of loon.

Even Dragon Age only has like one gay mage and that franchise is supposed to be the epitome of "gay people everywhere".

>implying cross dressing isn't manly as fuck
Have you even been to a footy club?

Flesh is it's own corruption, mate. Magic is just divinity by another name. It wasn't Satan that turned the Nephlim, and like him they did it on their own.

Clearly the Patricians choice in profession is the Cleric.

>Crack skulls with your sick mace skills
>Get to wear stylish robes
>Blast Heretics away with your mothafuckan' holy magic
>Not held back by extreme moralfaggotory like Paladins

You just want to play cleric so you could spam sticks to snakes like a child don't you?

But it attempts to use "spiritual connection" to benefit ones position in the flesh realm. Thus, all use of magic is abhorrent, since you're bound to this flesh dimension. Magic is not divinity, it is satanic tricks for power.

And the chase for power is what lead all those "angels" to fall. But protip, they were never really real angels anyway, just "beings of the heavens" who didn't want to submit to all of Gods law.

>bound to flesh
Do you even logos Chirstfag?

And no, the Nephlim fell because they got hard looking at long hair and wanted to fuck. There was no evil or ambition. They broke God's rules to smash but they still did their duty past that. In fact, were their no fucked off spring there would never have been an issue.

Many culture believe magic is concentrated in one's hair.
That's why during witch inquisition, they'd shave her hair.
So for a male to have enough magical powers he would need a long hair, which make him into not so straight mage.

Who are you referring to?

You are bound by flesh. You are not Jesus Christ.

You're an edgemaster fedora though, I didn't think there were many left
>broke God's law
>hurr no issue so cuul

>who
I am refering to the concept of Logos. The divinity of creation and the imperative for the created to move toward the divine.
Further, I am not an atheist.
Further, they demonstrably weren't breaking the laws for the reasons you proposed. Hur hur so culll, doesn't change the fact that you misrepresented their motive. They did the wrong thing and were punished, but they didn't do anything intentionally malicious.
Please don't get snappy with me when all I am doing is stating the facts as they appear.

Then re-read your posts, and fix yourself up.

Your focus is evidently on the side of satan-sympathising, up until that post.

Just listen to yourself.

>magic is satanic
>no it's not and Satan doesn't control it all anyway
>yes he does he uses it to corrupt through power and evil
>what about these guys who had nothing to do with him and weren't malicious and power hungry
>fuck you satanist
I am simply stating that Satan is but an agent of magic, not the definition of it or the master of it. Corruption is of the flesh, which is an entirely different issue to use of magic.

Wiccans don't believe in the devil, isn't that right?

You can't really be a fallen angel. Fallen angels are really just spiritual beings of fire who disobey Gods law and rule, while beings of Light (Angels) truly would not disobey.

Satan is one of those beings, but not an angel. A djinn.

And all magic is the work of djinn. God and his angels work though divine intervention, but never magic.

I implore you again to refocus yourself. As flesh beings we have flesh trials; using magic to aid you in your flesh life will bring you to hell.

Because magic is for fags.

>Doctor Doom
Bi at least
>Doctor Strange

>Doctor Voodoo
gay
>Daimon Hellstrom
Gay as fuck
>Doctor Druid
bi
>Mordred the Mystic
bi
>Baron Mordo

>Shaman
gay

>Doctor Doom
>Bi at least
it's only because he's obsessed with Reed Richards

Fullmetal Alchemist tried to pretend it was "science" but %99 of that shit was straight up wizardry.

Science is literally just an appraoch to understanding and categorising data. So is mysticsm. Alchemy is mystical not scientific, hence it being magic.

imgur.com/gallery/2BvHX

To be fair, Fullmetal Alchemist takes alchemy like Shaman king takes on Shamanism.

And how one piece takes on pirates

And How Katekyo Hitman Reborn takes on Mafia

And how anime in general take on nuns, vampires, ghosts...

this is a little much

Is this what Wiccan looks like now? It's a pretty good costume. Same his name still sucks.

I know a magus that cast [spoilers] swords.

Because of history. Not only magic has been a thing for women, half-magic creature, or REALLY old guys, for centuries anything different from the norm was the mark of demons and witchcraft. Really, before homosexuals it was gingers.

wanting to fuck Namor isn't gay
