Agreed. Reasons are given but they feel insufficient.
Rather than being Darth Vader he made Cy have congenital nerve damage that he overcomes with his own designs. So rather than being a heavy hitter, which doesn't really make sense if Supes, PG, or WW are on the team, he plays a more supportive role as a tech expert.
This is both awesome and a ripoff of Arkham Asylum.

I think another problem might be women's fashion. Wonder Woman in pants looks like something you could put together with a trip to a large mall. Hell, for a period of time in the late 90s/early 00s a traditional Black Canary outfit was clubwear.
