This holy shit. The fucking director even put flashback dialogue on that part so that even the lowest brainlet could get it. He made a path for himself, he just didn't do what anyone told him he didn't do what the resistance said he didn't do what madam said etc. he found something worth fighting for no strings attached and that made him human.
