Amen was just about to post this. This guy is fucking terrifying. He is likely the edgy villains in a story which is allowed to have consequences.

Bates does not have any sort of reason to him other than hate. He built an entire company from the ground and was one of the most successful people on the planet. However, he decided to forgo all that just for a chance to kill his mentor. He hates Miracleman so much that he'll do anything to get the chance to kill him. The whole London massacre? That was just to get Miracleman's attention. Then, like he did the original battle, he just decimates everyone. The only reason that Michael is still alive is because of he gained energy from the past from his previous selves and attacked Bates with all he had.

Oh yeah, do you want to hear the kicker? He's still alive. Trapped in an alternate dimension, Kid Miracleman is plotting something else and he's going to turn try and turn Young MM against his mentor. Something that might not be difficult. The worse part is that bar Winter, they probably will be no way of stopping him if he comes back with his fall power. That means that if Gaiman does follow up on his promises, it's highly likely that this will lead to the Liberators timeline. Essentially he is the Satan to Miracleman's God. Even though he could be so great, he just destroys for no other reason than he can and wants to.

Boo. It is a Ghost

True it is more a scary scene.

Should i read this ?

People always post pages of it being massacre porn but the beginning really don't seems to have anything to do with this...

What is scary about him ?

...

Yes. It is superman told as a horror story.

He is the hate. Unflinching and self-destroying hate. Aso top design.

that he is one of the most competent villains in DC.

OP, my friend, who is this character, i would like to read more on him, and google yields me nothing. good fortune to you and your family and many blessings

He's fueled by autistic hatred.

I'm not familiar with what's going on with this guy, can op or somebody Storytime this please?

Mad Jim Jaspers. The most powerful mutant in Marvel comics. So awful they have to destroy entire universes that he manifests in.

simply by being on Sup Forums i assume you have experience with primal, autistic rage. now imagine that primal autism chased you to the ends of the earth, never yielding, never slowing, hunting you eternally. and shooting lazers out of his eyes.

This is Sir Jim Jaspers also known as the Crooked God and reality Butcher. He is quite mad.

>and self-destroying hate
Found it funny how Aquaman thought last issue that Manta blew everything up to protect NEMO when he probably just blew it up to get rid of any evidence that would get the US to back off. Manta didn't give a shit about NEMO beyond just using it to destroy Aquaman, his short term thinking as Fisher King basically caused NEMO's destruction.

yes, i saw this post here, ,
thank you! in the second post he appears deformed? is he normally deformed, or am i misinterpreting the colouring? are there any recs or should i just look through what he's been in and sift through?

I liked this part. First he appears normal but thanks to his powers he becomes more and more a parody of man.

As if the madness he infects the world with infects and twists him as well, it has the potential to be a powerful storytelling technique if used well.

One of the most terrifying characters in Marvel comics. Reality warping powers that are largely limitless outside of a lone weakness: He can't use them outside of a physical universe. So if he's in some kind of "outside of physical space" kind of area then he's powerless. Beyond that he's basically adult Franklin Richards if he was extremely evil, sadistic, and insane.

I just finished reading Moore's run on Miracleman, it's fantastic.

Liberators timeline?

>"I hate sand"

The calmness and likability doubled with him being a genocidal maniac create a beautiful contrast
I wouldn't say he's scary per se, but he's pretty unsettling.

I also like how he starts being a normal human and then its is just the Jasper's thing. No human anymore, nor mutant but an abomination.

...

The real scary villain is the one who grabbed cells from the dead Mad Jim to use as a weapon, after they saw the madness and terror he caused.

The Green Goblin is one of the few villains the legitimately scare the fuck outta me. If I was a hero and saw him coming my way, I'd go in the complete opposite direction civilians be damned. This is someone with power, time, intelligence, and the resouces to fuck your life up. He will poison your life, he will attack every happy thought you value, make you severely doubt yourself, stalk you in his outfit just to mess with you, attack your friends and family to let you know being your friend is bad for your health. And then when he's finally had his fun, he goes for the kill. Fuck. The. Goblin.

Jesus, Spiderfags really are delusional.

...

Even as a kid, he was a fucking monster. This is what happens if an adolescent with Superman-esque abilities has no moral compass or set of boundaries.

In the Miracleman Apocrypha, he's raping this teenage girl (and he's only like 12 or 13) while doing this, he breaks her neck after she begs him not to hurt her. He replies,"See, no pain."

And then a superhero who isn't Spider-Man will have no qualms in beating Osborn to death as slowly and painfully as possible.

Osborn's dangerous, but only so far as Spider-Man's sense of morals unwittingly permits. If he tried that shit on another 616 hero (especially one whose more powerful and not as nice as Peter), it can go very wrong for Osborn. Like the time Luke Cage curbstomped his ass.

this guy was fucking nuts

Norman is scarier than the Goblin. Goblin is when Osborn is losing his mind. And an intelligent villain is scarier than a crazy villain.

Oh yeah this guy takes the cake. If Purple Man didn't have that skin color and looked normal like David Tennant, he can get away with so much shit and not tussle with superhumans.

Think about it, look what we saw in the Jessica Jones series. Killgrave lived under the radar and got away with living at swanky hotels, eating at 5-star restaurants, forcing people to serve him, and having sex with various women.

Only street-level heroes would take notice of someone like Killian because the Avengers, Fantastic Four, and X-Men focus on world-ending threats. If Purple Man laid low like his MCU counterpart, he'd be frightening as fuck.

Cassandra Nova was a great villain, but she cant be used again, she was defeated completely, mind wiped, and became the x men student known as Ernst.

Initially they planed to set the Fury against the x-men instead nNmrod.

>thread for scary villains
>none of them is scary
Sup Forums once again has low standards.

*Nimrod

>One of the creepiest aspects of Morrigan Lugus. In spite of being a huge bloated undead abomination, its presence biochemically forces human brains into a state of religious and sexual ecstasy, making the humans kneel before it in prayer and masturbation. Oh, and the same spores that have this effect on the brain also destroy the lungs – the first groups of scientists studying Morrigan Lugus died when their lungs literally started talking to them.

Dajjal was created without sanity, but not insane. Instead, he judges reality on entirely different structures, which allow him to survive as long as he wants to.
Dajjal can see emergent timelines and the new timelines born from every action. To the point where he actually responds to and corrects the narration because he can "see" Reddin talking about him in the future.

Body Horror Incarnate

He has the unbelievable rage that comes from being stuck as the archenemy of the lamest superhero ever.

The death of the Moon

...

well black manta is sort of to arthur what vader is to luke.

Well, he is the reason why the world in Judge Dredd went to shit.

The Lloigor from Zenith

...

...

...

Doom Patrol has good surreal horror.

...

Always wanted to ask.
If you chop him up into little pieces, turn him into delicious meal and feed it to people, will they develop mind-control powers?

There's something fucked up about a high school douchebag whose first reaction to becoming a sentient swarm of spiders is to tear open and hollow out his mother and wear her body so he can seduce his father and do the same to him in the middle of sex.

Spider-Man villain, obviously. Rocket Racer, Shocker, Stilt-Man... and this guy.

...

...

...

With the exception of a few story arcs, that IS what Purple Man does in the comics.

Maybe

Seems like Purple Man is the only mind controlling Marvel villain who is consistently taken serious, while guys like Mandrill, the Voice, Puppet Master, Controller, etc. are more often than not mooks or jokes.

And he's still a fucking joke in spite of that.

This guy, in both design and concept

>Purple, existentialist "lel this timeline is boring lets have the spaceshroom win instead"
>scary

He already lived infinity; Only death is a new expierence to him.

...

...

...

...

...

...

Too bad he was a bitch

i never understood why supes killed himself after axing off this ass

...

...

...

...

I like how he won the whole war by doing jack shit
Seriously the Indian guy was like an amped up Dr Manhattan while he was just a lowly mind controller with a limited range and he still won

...

I like this bald, naked and implanted look. He is at the threshold between human and its posthuman transcencion.

Yeah, every time I think about Purple Man I think of that one time Dr. Doom made him shit his pants

What villain is scary in your opinion?

Definitely not ones in capeshit.

For example?
