I am literally only watching this show for Ironwood at this point. I don't even care. I swear to fucking god if Miles and Kerry go the generic animu route with him I'm going to light something on fire

He's a soldier not a diplomat.
He knows that they're at war with the Grimm against Salem etc. so he's firmly fixated on the enemy.

For situations where combat is inevitable his descisions were more or less correct apart from the Splendid Isolation thing.

But for situations where you need trust, compassion and to first put your foot forward and take accountability, he is not the man you choose.

TL;DR Ironwood is a good soldier, but a shit diplomat.
