YES I like Steven Universe but Bionicle is MY FUCKING LIFE
>it's a "the Piraka kidnap the All-American Rejects" episode
Asher Lopez
Approved.
Oliver Gutierrez
I'd sacrifice a bit more if necessary.
Evan Jenkins
I would end steven universe for absolutely nothing at all, so of course.
Jace Stewart
Where is the criticism Sup Forums is famed for? I want arguments and agreement.
Levi Allen
>Creeping in my soul + malachite arc. >Makuta saying to garnet "Come. join my brothers and me". Anyone else got an idea?
Eli Phillips
I would sacrifice Steven Universe for a half eaten sandwich or less, but to answer your question
YES
James Nguyen
If last year's storytime taught me anything it's that Bionicle was ridiculously overrated and overblown by nostalgia, no thanks.
Justin Roberts
Topic five: would you sacrifice the p*****graphic images?
Henry Parker
G2 is insignificant compared to G1. G1 had god-robots. A would-be god who planned his eventual demise and counteracted it. Masks which if destroyed would affect all of reality. Said storyline is within the time-span of 100,000 years. Grimdark elements such as: People getting sliced in half. People mutating themselves to serve their real god. Another god who went rogue and started enslaving people. A mask which cursed a god with eternal life and all other things in close proximity would become alive... cursed to hear the thoughts of even the smallest bacteria. All makuta purged their inner morality and mutated their bodies into horrible creature forms.
Bentley Cox
That all sounds needlessly edgy with no real substance to it.
Dylan Clark
I mean I enjoy SU but yeah, I'd do it Mostly for the tumblr tears
Andrew Taylor
...
Chase Stewart
Said real god is their entire universe and if they fail he dies. They save him of course. And then it goes full gurren lagan. I just told you the silmarillion parts. Here is the link about said god. youtu.be/9SgQAUBglJE
Ryder Evans
G1 was legitimately something special, the atmosphere, lore and designs were all incredible.
G2 was a reboot that didnt get what gave Bionicle its spark.
Kevin Adams
Don't forget how the main villain succeeds in his master plan involving said god!
Andrew Perez
It also has kaitas which are like fusions but practical. This entity was formed between takanuva and makuta. Takanuva is the toa of light and thus required to "light the path". Makuta wants it to remain his domain... Shadow. Via life giving fluid (Protodermis) every thing in the bionicle universe is made of it. Energized protodermis being the most powerful but dangerous. Said being is controlled by takanuva until it is crushed. Said beings spit apart leaving makutas mask on one side and takanuvas on the other. Takanuva is of course resurrected. Makuta as well but during the inika storyline.
Christian Miller
This idea can sell toys, so probably even CN would do it.
Jason Walker
Oh yeah.... Makuta teridax hijacks the great spirit robot (40 million ft.) And sends the mask of life (Now containing mata nui himself) to bara magna.
Dylan Young
"Can" doesn't mean "will". And besides, unless it's some lolrandom comedy, and especially if it's action, it'll just get Satmorning'd until cancellation and writeoff permanent destruction.
Still bitter.
Hunter Ortiz
OP here. Who is she? Stuck with freeview so I don't know her.
Michael Wilson
current head of cartoon network, aka TTGo channel
Jason Gonzalez
Glad I got out of that mess.
Alexander Phillips
I like posting her regarding modern CN since she's such a piece of shit moralfag.
Jack Ortiz
Wait... I change my comment. >Face me starts playing.
Liam Sanchez
OP here. Make a redpill thread about this.
Isaiah Lopez
People are allowed to have dissenting opinions, especially when it involves a comic and toy line that lost its appeal after only a couple years.
Gavin Mitchell
So is the cluster.
Parker Roberts
Bump.
Luis Cooper
I would sacrifice Steven Universe for nothing in return, let alone a Bionice series
Also hoping that one day the original Bionicle will appear in future LEGO Movies for a little longer than 0.5 second freeze-frame bonus.
Leo Richardson
Bump. Don't let bionicle die.
Bentley Powell
Would I take my main childhood craze over a cartoon that's okay I guess but a one-time watch at best? Of course. The Bionicle universe and story were criminally underutilized and overrun by hardcore autists who made it too hard for others to jump into. It begs for a good adaptation.
Even if it's just a miniseries adapting the simple as balls 2001 "storyline", as long as it has the atmosphere and subtle worldbuilding as the old games and commercials.
>storytime The comics always sucked brah. I agree they're stupidly overrated. There were a few decent ones, but of course there was no substance, they were just short, free giveaways for the Lego Mag written by a mediocre writer who grew more hackish as time went.
But the comics were never the reason I loved this shit.
Charles Flores
Anyone with a passing interest in Bionicle should check out a blog called Faber Files.
Its ran by one of the main designers and has a ton of early development stuff and insight into how certain ideas came about.
For instance one of the names for the series before they settled on Bionicle was 'Afterman".
Juan Adams
Oh boy, a Bionicle thread. Time to show off my collection
Gavin Cooper
...
Benjamin Lee
...
Wyatt Wood
A pity he barely updates. What's the deal with that Bionicle showroom he talked about a few years back?
John Stewart
OP here. This is a argument thread. In general:Bionicle vs steven universe. That's what I had in mind. None the less. Awesome collection.
Brandon Smith
>No zivon. >No kaitas.
Hunter Murphy
The Lego Museum in Billund?
Their currently building it and they're likley still going to have a Bionicle exhibit, since the opinion within the company is that it was the toy that saved Lego.
Lincoln Watson
But I don't give a shit about Steven Universe I mean, I'm not gonna have the kaitas set up all the time. I prefer them separate when displayed, except for sometimes like when I want to pose the Kardas Dragon.
Nathan Perry
Yeah that one.
And they better make that room. Otherwise I'd be frustrated.
David Howard
I built the Zivon once. One of the lime colored connector pieces broke. It was foreshadowing.
Caleb Sullivan
Please at least one of the four topics. The great spirit depends on you.
Bentley Wilson
Five friction-adders broke on me. That was nightmarish.
Isaac Collins
Is that a blue Coteaz punching Molag Bal in the face? What the shit happened to the design team?
Sebastian Cruz
Bump. OP here. Stay on one of the topics.
Oliver Ward
Fuck you
I'm posting more bionicle pics
Wyatt Taylor
...
Jackson Reed
...
Ryan Campbell
Only if they fucking keep this version throughout the whole series. Original versions of the Toa were pretty iconic, they're evolution forms seemed pretty meh to me...
Based Kopaka is BASED
Colton Stewart
OP here. Post something relevant. Unity not dissent. Like that gali vs lapis water-arm wrestling pic.
Justin Russell
Too bad
I'm posting just Bionicle pics
Levi Evans
Stop.
Bionicle's too pure (and already way too autistic enough) for such a crossover.
Mason Hernandez
Then post G1. Even stuff like this. >Ekimu. >Not mata nui.
Brayden Martinez
...
Easton Jackson
No, after mask of light Bionicle started to become full of it's self and focused more or the lore than the present day.
By time flashback arc #34252 finally finished it was too little to late to save the story
I wonder if the fact G2 Tahu's design has a lot in common with Likhain was a concious decision.
Robert Long
Nope but I would Adventure Time.
Daniel Phillips
I am honoured to have called you brother... toa vakama... No scene in SU could make me cry like that did.
Michael Reed
Fuck yeah.
Still though, in the modern day it might end up with similar problems to those of SU - SoL with some LORE episodes sprinkled here.
Dylan Sanders
Ah an SU fan. What about topic three?
Henry Wood
SoL?
Evan Morris
Slice of life.
Leo Cruz
Yeah. If we got something similar to Avatar, however, it could be great.
Eli Clark
A pity Lhikan's death was undone, and now he's stuck on a zombie space station.
Nathaniel James
Oh fuck. That would ruin inika and mahri. Considering all matoran are enslaved by piraka. And then drown because they blew up voya nui. But if it was like MNOG that would be good... Hopefully...
Blake Gray
...
Brandon Murphy
The red star? I thought everyone is currently on bota magna.
Ian Morales
Yeah, sorry OP, there's not much discussion to be had about SU vs Bionicle.
Even /sug/ would probably lean towards Bionicle.
Grayson Bennett
...
Ryan Cooper
Nice. Legends never truly die. I wonder if I should take this thread there? >No villains rule. That was entirely silly. I am tempted by blue diamonds bluety.
Carter Adams
As I recall, the story stopped being updated when Pohatu, Kopaka, Lhikan and some "dead" characters were still stuck on the Red Star.
Lincoln Cox
But the GSR let everyone else out? Wat. >Matoro sacrificed himself only to see his hero trapped in the red star. That's not logical... That's not even considerate. This makes G2 even more silly. How can they be in the red star if there on okoto. Unless JTO ends with everyone going to the red star...
Cooper Roberts
the red star isn't a part of G2 canon
Samuel Thomas
Man, I love SU! It's my favorite current show (after GF ended) But Bionicle? You don't know man, you don't even fucking know! It would have to be done right, tough. If it was anything short of perfect, I'd be pissed.
>That is the only place where everyone decanonized can go.
>RAHKSHI HISSING!
Matthew Torres
It took me a while to remember that there was a G2 of Bionicle...
Were the toys at least good?
Connor Butler
The toys were fan-fucking-tastic. The story however was garbage.
Sebastian Sanchez
>Kopaka
B A S E D A S E D
Evan Carter
I stopped paying attention to the g2 story.
Tell me, did all the mask of time teasing actually pay off?
Leo Kelly
nope, it died some time after revealing the other half of the mask
Ayden Perry
Nothing ever came out of it, other than some mumbo jumbo revealed in some badly drawn prequel comic.
They used a Mask of Time called Vahi, which looked like the upper part of a mask, to summon the Toa to the island. That's the only relevance it had. The G1-style Vahi never meant anything in G2, it was just some easter egg they kept spamming all over the place.
Probably would have had more of a relevance, had the line continued as Lego initially intended.
