First off, the show's called Summer Camp Island, OP.
I'm not too excited over or intrigued by the premise and I'm not a fan of the art style so far (I doubt Julia Pott's gonna change it during development due to it being her "signature style"), but I guess it's our next cartoon from an Adventure Time veteran, so that'll be cool (SU, Clarence, and OtGW are the only other ones I can remember). I really fuckin' hate that the hedgehog's name is Hedgehog, though.

this seems to be trying to be Regular Show and Adventure Time, with all of it's randomness, i bet it even has some deep plot planned for later seasons, or even worse, romance subplots

yeah i know, but the intent was to be for internet, so it makes sense it isn't as high budget as the other shows. It's not like CN can make hand drawn thick lines anymore anyway, everything has to have that pastel look with thin lines.

I don't see this winning me over like those pilots have just yet. It's lacking that oomph I get from Gumball, WBB, Justice League Action, Clarence, and yes, Magiswords, to me... It seems too nice for its own good. Maybe if we get a proper pilot, I'll change my mind.

It looks meh. Honestly it looks like something I would find on PBS kids, or one of those weird obscure kids channels you came across while scrolling through the tv channels.

If the short clip from some film festival didn't explicitly say the main character was 14, I'd have guessed they were maybe 10 at most, 7 at the youngest.
Also, he's 14. Why does he sound so young. Fuck, the moment my balls dropped I started sounding like Sylvester Stallone and I kept having to be annoyed by people on the phone mistaking me for my father. He should at least be 2 octaves lower rather than sounding like he's fucking 6 years old.
It almost makes me feel like this is meant for some future preschool block they have planned or something. But because of all the "whoa, wacky supernatural stuff wow!" shit going on, it's probably gonna have PLOT and have episodes that are "SERIOUS" and try to be another fan-pandering wankfest like all the other shows about kids encountering supernatural nonsense on a daily basis. So it'll probably just be trying to take the place of AT when it kicks the bucket next year.

Disney's definitely got the brightest future in terms of their upcoming TV series. Along with SvtFoE and Milo Murphy's Law, they'll have:

You just KNOW that they can't mess up those reboots/TV adaptations.
Nickelodeon improved with Harvey Beaks and The Loud House, but their shitty treatment and cancellation of the former proves that they've still got some improving to do. Btw, Bunsen is a Beast doesn't look too promising (the first two episodes were pretty bad), but Pinky Malinky could be cool as long as they don't overdo it with the quirky style of comedy and Welcome to the Wayne is sure to lift Nick up quite a number of points. If you haven't seen the six shorts already, look 'em up!
CN's just been cancelling shows left and right, approving lackluster reboots (TTG! can be pretty funny, though), using Mighty Magiswords to shill they're mobile games/apps, refraining from properly promoting both Adventure Time AND Regular Show (isn't Clarence supposed to have a new episode this Friday?), and holding back OK K.O.! for whatever reason. Steven Universe, Gumball, and We Bare Bears can't hold them up forever.

What don't you like about SvtFoE? Sure, Season 1 was a bit unorganized, but the show really improved in Season 2, although it didn't become consistently good till ~8 episodes in (a.k.a. "Game of Flags")

I can see where you're coming from, user. Star can get pretty obnoxious at times and the show doesn't have the most conventional sense of humor (those long pauses that drag on for comedic effect K I L L M E ), but Marco alone makes the show worth watching; one of the best animated characters on TV at the moment. And the stakes involving Mewmans vs. Monsters as well as the cliffhanger of the midseason finale really have me craving for more. But if you can't get into it, that's fine. You gotta admit, though, that Disney's future projects are lookin' pretty promising.

I feel like Herpich might return to indie comics, while Muto'll either do the same or find a job on Steven Universe (he was board partners with Rebecca Sugar for the longest time before she left).
I'd also argue that Muto could help Pen Ward try and finish the story for the AT Movie, but we all know that's not happening anymore.
