>Do you remember that time based kindanonymous posted an actual academic source proving you were wrong about your complaints with the black Romans, and you completely ignored it?

as if I can read it all and just respond at the same time

Post rare Capaldi outfits, the stocks on red shirt editions are rising

you werent meant to read the whole thing, it was just used to back up my claim

yfw no Irish Doctor or companion
no story on Ireland or not even NI

why???

Shark shirts are on the rise too

they get a story when they rejoin the union, the BBC takes no prisoners

that is me

I do believe that were free slaves
I dont believe that they were treated so casually like the episode depicted

rare tennantpaldi

We can all agree that this was the best part of KTM, regardless of how good you think the story was

Why'd he only wear it once, lads?

I love this, it's like the sort of thing Charlie would wear on It's Always Sunny

I'm not sure what's supposed to be feminine about this
Or why there's an eyeball in the headlamp

except they were for the most part.

as a general rule of thumb, there was probably racism towards black romans.

however, the black romans we see are part of a legion, legions literally became the families of these soldiers. even more so its a broken legion of a few tightly not soldiers, they would see eachother as brothers.

of course they treated them casually, they were family.

Ultra-rare hoodie Series 8 Capaldi incoming, do not steal

How does socialism (i.e. sharing resources) kill people exactly? And how is it utopian? Is any system that seeks to make society fairer "utopian" to you? What a twisted attitude. Are you American?

>the entire season was overboard with political leanings

Politics concerns society and culture as a whole. It's relevant to everything and almost every show has politics in it, even if you don't always notice it. You can look at kids' television if you're so intent on avoiding "political leanings' but even then you'd be hard-pressed to find something that is completely apolitical.

Oh yes.

the clothes on that show are really cool actually, ive always wanted one of those military jackets so badly

>How does socialism (i.e. sharing resources) kill people exactly
we are not supposed to discuss this here
but the short answer is that
they take by force something a person did to "share" to the others

that whole photoshoot was super QT

absolutely.

What do you think of covers like the bottom right, where the face on the sidestrip is in the bigger picture as well?
I think it looks lazy desu

...

looks bad

...

Do you remember before Capaldi's first costume was revealed how a lot of people thought his aesthetic would be all like youth punk to contrast with his age and maybe tie in with Capaldi's own youth a bit?

I remember a lot of fanmade art pics floating around but can't find them now because they're all of his actual costumes lel

>they take by force something a person did
Do you you really think the average millionaire works thousands of times harder than the average coal miner? Do carers earn their poverty like financial speculators "earn" their fortunes? Taxation/redistribution of wealth is the foundation of civilization and it often doesn't go far enough.

SHARE MORE RARE CAPALS

Not even memeing around now, do any of you guys think there is the slightest possibility we'll ever see Rabe mentioned in an "official" Doctor Who piece of media again?
I think there's a chance...a very, very, very, very, very small chance, but I have hope. Maybe a NewWho esque Campaign novel? A wink in some eventual audio about the Cult of Skaro?
Or is Rabe doomed to be completely forgotten?

Forgot to mention you didn't answer ANY of my questions. I think you are American.

this been posted yet?

best one

i'm so sick of bronze daleks goddamn it

If neo is a commie like people say how come he never participates in these political discussions

Tried googling images from between his announcement and the first costume pic

because he's isn't a shit, obviously

Probably because he's actually a decent trip and stays on topic?

because it may be bait, if we derail to ony politics here, they report us

reminder

Hey I think I remember that one! Good find! Take this rare Rabe as my thanks!

LIMITED MATT MASK CAPAL

YOURS FOR ONLY 99.99 CLALAS

it's time.... for the final face!

RED VELVET ACTION FIGURE CAPAL

SO RARE IT DOESN'T FUCKING EXIST

very valuable. Here's another!

>yfw you realize the gay guy who loves black dudes was less of an SJW than Moffat was

he did his share, but maybe his IRL experience made it smoother than Moffs

Were there ANY iconic monsters with staying power introduced after the Hinchcliffe era and before the revival?
And no, characters like the Rani or the Valeyard don't count because they're only known and liked by hardcore fans. Also they're shit.

Hey we kinda got something similar eventually.
That artist does cute faces too.

Actually a good question, I'll have to think over that one...are you counting wilderness stuff?

I'm not as of yet familiar with wilderness stuff, but surely nothing from that has actually stuck in the public's minds? because the public would've actually have to have, y'know, read/listened to it? I'm sure there are a lot of really good, creative monsters there though.

The vervoids

Funny how we're talking about fanart of 12 costumes before the reveal when we're in that stage right now for 13. This image will be completely obsolete and pretty fucking dumb any week now.

...

dont you dare even imply that pic related will ever be obsolete

They don't fit the qualifications I gave at all.

I'm trying to think of iconic original Big Finish villains/monsters...Nobody No-One...Edward Grove...it gets trickier from there...ehh I don't really consider the Eminence or Viyrans iconic, but they're there...Macqueen Master is GOAT but Master isn't an original character of course...god, this is terrible, surely there are some I'm forgetting...Sebastian Grayle? The villains I can remember are either not original (Rassilon, Jubilee Dalek, etc.) or are good but not iconic (the Committee, the Doom Coalition, the Headhunter). What am I forgetting lads?

Yeah by virtue of not being particularly popular I guess it was hard to stick in the "public's" mind kek, exactly. I suppose Faction Paradox was a breakaway hit.

did capaldi ever wear that in an episode? I don't remember him wearing the red velvet with anything other than a proper shirt

doctorwhogeneral.wikia.com/wiki/Kino_in_the_stream

Oh shit I forgot The Eleven! He kinda counts! I didn't even like DC but he was memorable and is a great concept for a villain.

Zagreus? even being good old PM

the hips mostly

I will personally chop my two balls off and make crystal clear pumpkin pie out of them if they decide to bring back question marks on lapels thing that they had done in eighties ...

I'm pretty sure the era where bringing back well-loved classic monsters for the first time as a hook is over. For the best, probably. I look forward to after the next cancellation and subsequent revival when they start rolling out all the iconic nuwho villains for a reappearance. Probably mostly ones invented by Moffat lmao

He wore it at the very start of Mysterio but you couldn't really see it since it's really, really dark.

The Scorchies

the triskele?

Any good pictures of capal's outfit in Woman who Lived? These are my favourite tartan pants he wore

...

He was so goddamn comfy in series 9 holy shit

Blue Capaldman.

Is this the rarest Capal of them all?

>tfw he didn't wear any check pants in s10

It sounds autistic but I legitimately love researching all of Twelve's different outfits, I don't think he's ever wore the exact same one twice

I hope Jodie follows the same outfit formula, having a style but constantly changing.

Tbh I hope every doctor since does that. The JNT-esque "one outfit per doctor" thing annoys me.

There's nothing wrong with costume autism, a lot of us have it
My favorite shit in the world is that awkward time after regeneration where the new Doctor is in their previous incarnation's clothing

Some good picks in thread I'd forgotten for BF villains.

I reckon the Ood will be a mainstay (debatable how much they're a "monster" though) but yeah, Moff definitely did most of the iconic villains.

This this this! I want the Doctor to wear clothes, not a costume. Fine to have a style but I don't want them to look like a superhero...

I remember when I was 11 I got a stupidly big leather jacket to try and look like the Doctor kek

Same here honestly, it's a great way of transitioning eras and it's always kino. That's one of the things I adored about The Eleventh Hour because he wore it for basically the entire episode.

>no goat leather 10

Kino in the stream

I liked it but it didn't look half as iconic/10 without the coat. Not really complaining though.

Eh, I get you.

One weird thing is how there's always a tradition of the Doctor getting his new outfit, but in Deep Breath he just showed up in it. I guess getting the tramp's clothing counts as that for the episode and it would've been redundant to do it again. Plus, it's made up for by the fact that he wears FIVE distinct different outfits throughout the episode anyway.

I admire your attention to detail with the costuming, it's something that flies by me a bit, but I enjoy seeing your interest in it. This is probably what I sound like to some anons when I blather on about Marigold's music.
What are your thoughts on the JNT costumes

This is like a picture of the perfect family, not even joking.

Yeah, I'm practicing drawing people so I can work on outfit ideas. If I ever start playing music live I'll probably put so much attention to detail into my outfits kek

And yeah, as much as I hate the idea of 'costumes', I actually really love Five's coat. and six's to an extent

Do you think WarDoc's costume is too on the nose between 8 and 9's
I kinda think the leather jacket is pushing it. It's not even 9's jacket. Honestly the whole leather jacket Doctor thing is a mess between 6 wanting it, 8 getting it in audios, apparently it being a thing with Fitz in the books, then WarDoc getting on, but 9 actually being the first Doctor irl to get it...it's reverberated through Who

Casual reminder that the question marks are GOAT and if you disagree you can go back to fucking REDDIT

If hating the question marks makes me Reddit, then call me Pickle Rick!

COSTUME REVEAL WHEN

IM GETTIN ANTSY

Eh, I don't really think it's too on the nose really. It suits his character a lot.

Tomorrow, potentially.

Jodie's in Cardiff now isn't she? Could be real soon, depending when they start shooting outside

Y E S

Jokey hyperbole aside, I legitimely like the question marks. And it's not something I can properly explain either. They're silly and nonsensical and no one brings them up but for some reason I love 'em.

Also the question mark umbrella is a stroke of genius and I will defend that till my last breath.

I don't mind the umbrella fwiw

Confession: I have never seen Kinda but I kinda want to

I'll happily stream it whenever, it's one of my favourite episodes
Unless you're just memeing so you could use "kinda" twice in that sentence
