These two pictures perfectly explain my current theory for the fate of Pink Diamond and why Rose/Steven seems to have so many powers, as well as Steven tears-linking with Blue Diamond.
Lion is the (possibly corrupted) Pink Pearl, Pink Diamond's original gem/body is shattered, and only our Pearl knows that the Rose Quartz she loved is actually Pink Diamond.
