Hasn’t history proven that Marx’s vision of an egalitarian utopia is unattainable, inevitably creating an oligarchy more oppressive to the proletariat than the bourgeoisie it vilifies?

WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY EYE!?

RRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

GET THE FUCK OFF MY BOARD YOU EVIL NAZI DRUMPFKIN

Go knock over some more trashcans ANTIFA scum. You need to fill your quota or Darth Soros won't pay you.

cant tell if bait or alt-sodomright

It's almost like that's why a reasonable compromise of socialism and capitalism, that provides a high ceiling for people to fight over but a bottom floor that keeps people's base needs met so they can dedicate time to learning and growing over being worried about not dying, and decide maybe they also want a nice big TV like the Jeffersons next door. You know, like most of the successful civilized nations.

>doing drugs is ok in moderation

And I'm Regular Stormy!

Marx's utopia required full automation of all labor and then he declared history would literally end. Somehow.

When will people realize this was some college fag during the industrial revolution freaking out about the factory system?

Merely calling out the hypocrisy of a supposed anti fascism movement, making liberal use of fascist techniques. Also they seem to really hate trashcans.

I DECLARE MARTIAN LAW!

Say Sup Forums, would you put your brain in a robot body?

Trashcans really stand out and ruin the perfect beauty of a city.

Just release a swarm of raccoons every night to eat all the trash.

he was obviously baiting tho

Literally medicine

Is it a strong robot body?

Could I have a pair of sweet rocket tits?

CRUSHED HANDS! GET IT?! GET IT?!

that depends on the specific robot body

No.

I'd put my brain in a robot shark.

So I'll never get to live in the Federation? No holodecks? No replicators? No space babes?

It's not so much a "Time Machine" as it is a "Dodgeball Machine".

hands down best episode

AND I SAY TO MYSELF, I NEED EXACT CHANGE

Absolutely yes. Literally the second it becomes technologically and financially possible, I WILL be in the front of the line to go full cyborg GitS style. You have no idea how badly I want this to happen.

The true meaning of Alvistide is drinking.

Drinking and Revenge.

will I have the strength of 10 gorillas?

Depends, can the robot body feels the joys of carnal pleasures? If not, I'll pass.

Nah, wait for the whole death-bed thing. A whole body is not the kind of thing you want to be an early adopter on.

It is if you have a strong desire to get out of the body you've currently got.

Good Lord, are we under attack?

The best the modern world has is Singapore, which is held back only by the proximity of China and being on a tiny island.
It's peaceful, prosperous and a shining gem among the ocean of failed states that surround it.

A crime is a crime is a crime user.

>China
>not the Mudlaysian nations of Indonesia and Malaysia

>cyborg GitS style

I'd be completely fine with something less refined.

Those are powerless to really influence Singapore beyond the face that as a tiny island they need to import food. China can actually extend some control over their lives and ways of living.

Have you considered that the reason Singapore works is because it's tiny island ? And that the societal system it uses would suffer if replicated in larger landmass, inhabited by numerous population centers.

QUINS BEEN SPLEEPING WITH A HOOKER?!

What if you get in a car crash and don't have the chance for a deathbed?

Same.

Hi, Aaron Diaz

Singapore would not collapse if it included enough land to have the farms and power plants needed to be self sufficient.

Singapore's entire military is designed with the threat of Malaysians in mind. It's the reason why they have good ties with Israel, a nation whose military is focused on defending against extremely numerous Muslims.

Not like they could make an army capable of facing China anyway

You ca use Singapore's success to argue for everything.
>Diversity
>Government control over everyone
>Corporatism

*can

China and Singapore are close. China's economic success was based on singapore's formula.

In general this is why China's neighbors are aligning themselves with countries like the USA and India in order to box China in, and why people who think China will become some ultra superpower or that BRICS will ever be anything of substance are in for a surprise.

The second huh? That's a bold move, I'd wait for the second generation models at least so more of the kinks are ironed out.

>Narcotics are the same as antihistamines, NSAIDs, antibiotics, etc.
Boy you are retarded

I have a crazy idea
LET'S ALL MOVE TO SINGAPORE!

Just because not all medicines are drugs it doesn't means that medicines doesn;t use a lot of drugs too

> Narcotics and drugs are the same

lmao, how can many people be so wrong without any kind of coordination

well, if you want to buy medicine, you go to DRUGSTORE

I didn't argue that. Just pointing out that jumping from drugs to narcotics was pretty bold

Drugs are bad m'kay?
youtube.com/watch?v=Uh7l8dx-h8M

>In small doses narcotics have valuable medical uses, numbing the senses, relieving severe pain, and inducing sleep. They are also given preoperatively to relieve pain and anxiety.

Yes, doing drugs is ok in moderation.

Of course not, because that robot it wont be me, it would have a copy of my brain waves, but the original me would still be alive and dying, so why would i want me to have eternal life if I cant have it.

...

Singapore occupies both a unique geographical & political position that makes it especially valuable. It's not something that you can just replicate. It's a giant sea port on one of the biggest sea-lanes in the world and an international hub for trading with all of East Asia.

Not every city can be Singapore or Hong Kong even if they tried to copy the same political outlook.

Will I still have full uses of my senses, or are you going to make me go mad like Metallo?

You're more likely to get the UNSC than the federation.

Uh-oh!

...

Lmao nice false analogy boi

What is wrong with doing drugs in moderation? As long as no one died or was exploited in the manufacture and distribution of the substance where is the harm? How is somebody choosing to alter their consciousness wrong, harmful, or immoral?

We literally give people heroine as medicine and it's the most narcotic of narcotic drugs.

Obviously no nation or society can function if it's members are not sane for the majority of their lives. However, relaxation, thinking, having fun.. Those should be allowed. Even Jesus Christ made wine - good for the start, worse for the drunken night.

UH OH!

>t's almost like that's why a reasonable compromise of socialism and capitalism

Fuck that. The freer the market the freer the people.

And also more freer corporations, banks and funny orange clowns to exploit the system, monopolize markets, destroy small-medium businesses and force you to work yourself to the bone for pennies.
The average american is less free than the average first worlder from other countries.

But above all bullshit there's tipping culture. Fuck that shit.

Don't forget ugly white prune women who thrive off insider trading

Eat some more pills, pill head.

Lack of regulation leads to oligarchy just the same as government takeover of the means of production

A successful society must endeavor to maintain checks and balances and prevent any one entity, private or public, from gaining enough wealth and influence to threaten the rule of law.

This is done through regulation and monopoly-busting, two things the US has completely fucked up over the last 30 years.

Im such a selfish egotistic fuck that i think the world doesn't deserve to exist withouth me.

So any version is good because its me, and i can keep my glorious legacy go on as i fart on the same chair everyday.
until the robot wars.
in which i will fart in YOUR chair.

>freer corporations
>freer banks

Good. Those are just groups of people.

Pretty much every problem you just listed only became worse with government intervention.

See: the shitty, monopoly of a mess that is the pharmaceutical industry because the FDA discourages competition.

It literally is. Problem is, you get addicted and can't stop.

>I only shitpost in moderation!

This thread is shit

Maybe more people should fucking watch Sealab then.

>Monopoly-busting

Monopolies are destroyed by direct competition and competition via the production of substitutes. The free market does this more efficiently than the federal government could ever dream of.

And here we see the rube that the GOP has taken in; by purposefully sabotaging government action, they legitimize the argument that government can do nothing right and should be removed from the equation.

Over here in reality people with developed critical thinking skills understand that libertarianism doesn't work, that corporations need to be forced to not pollute and to not exploit their workers and to not monopolize, and that traditional banks need to be forced out of speculator markets to prevent crashes.

>that corporations need to be forced to not pollute and to not exploit their workers

Corporations bend to the demand of the consumer. The people are better at discouraging pollution than the government. If people demand and want it, they get it. Corporations, unlike the government, are subject to negative consequences for bad decisions. It's in a business' best interest to generate profit while keeping consumers happy and minimizing pollution and waste.

I don't have to sabotage government action. They perform subpar work all on their own.

You could have a set-up where you can stimulate the pleasure centers of the brain. Orgasm after orgasm; relive great meals or getting high.

>Monopolies are destroyed by direct competition and competition via the production of substitutes
No, monopolies are destroyed by antitrust lawsuits.

>The free market does this more efficiently than the federal government could ever dream of.
Not even remotely; the only way to challenge a monopoly in the free market is by disrupting said market entirely, and even then you can be sued, strong-armed, and lobbied into either selling to your competitor or shutting down entirely. That's not even getting into collusion/price fixing or marking out non-competitive "territories" like the cable/phone companies.

The government has made more monopolies than it's destroyed.

People still haven't realize that the American Constitution was written by most of the major land owners and politicians of its day insuring they would keep their job security in the face of saying they're setting up a "democracy" that had nothing to do with the majority of the country's citizens because that was up to those members to decide when they went back to their home legislatures.

Ironically, capitalism is seeking the same fully automated end-goal; it just doesn't care about what happens to the laborers that it puts out of work because capitalism isn't a moralist philosophy, but an economic system.

>The people are better at discouraging pollution than the government
Are you genuinely retarded? The American people are the ones who put stupid shit on their cars to INCREASE pollution just as a fuck you to conservationists.

>Corporations, unlike the government, are subject to negative consequences for bad decisions
I don't know what government your country has, but in representative governments the idea is that lawmakers and judges and such that make bad decisions are DIRECTLY responsible to the taxpayer (as opposed to corporations which only answer to shareholders and the law itself).

You've got a nice little theory, but it's not borne out by reality. Internal consistency is not enough.

I'm also going to assume you're fairly young, because if you were older you'd remember how insane pollution was before the EPA got a modicum of real power. No regulatory oversight + profit incentive = flammable rivers

>responding to quentin
C'mon son.

Like I said: the US has dropped the ball horribly on monopoly-busting since the bell breakup. FFS, at this point all the bells are one company again, it's just called AT&T instead of Bell Telephone Company

There is no such thing as a natural monopoly.

Not once has there ever been a single example in a free market of one producer achieving lower long-run average total costs than everyone else in the industry and thereby establishing a permanent monopoly.

There is always competition.

Unless the government butts in, that is.

Yup.

>lawmakers and judges and such that make bad decisions are DIRECTLY responsible to the taxpayer

>Business-owner fucks up
>No longer has a business

>Elected official fucks up
>Might lose re-election in three years

Reductio ad absurdum.

A crime is a crime is a crime. Smoking weed is against the law. So is murder. What does that say about weed?

based Quinten

>Business-owner fucks up
>No longer has a business
How can you even type that with a straight face

Yes but liberals aren't really known for being smarter than reading a book form of a pamphlet.

Liberterians are such tards.

Yeah, Ma Bell can't be fucking beat.
In fact, it was solely because they didn't care about Southwestern Bell and Bell South STILL HAVING A MONOPOLY IN THEIR REGIONS that modern AT&T is a thing.
