Tell us something we don't know.

there is already a thread going

no shit

He is? I never would've thought.

youtube.com/watch?v=xoLCDrOJGV0

Sort of reminds me of how I read Grant Morrison's Cat Beast. LOL!

And water is wet.

Any gay porn of snagglepuss?

He's not gay, he was never gay.
He has always been straight.
This is just SJW liberal propaganda pushing to turn all characters gay.
The only reason he's gay is because Bendis wanted to pander to agenda pushers.
He's only gay because Jean Grey is such a narcissist that she had to punish him for flirting with a girl who wasn't her.
This is just the feminist agenda, they want to turn all men gay! You can't trust any of them! They'll turn you gay!

Thats the gayest thing i've read all week.

Holy shit, i never realized how similar he was to roger from American Dad.

What a fucking faggot

This is news?

N-NANI?!

Homosexual, even.

Really? Well I NEVER.

On an unrelated note- what's the words for "this is the least surprising thing I've ever heard in my entire life"?

Hey, fuckers, remember that fucking awesome comic about water? GUESS WHAT? We're coming at ya HARD with a brand new take! This time water... is wet.

He has a gf tho.

youtube.com/watch?v=nyZs3EJgx8Q
It should have been this guy.

why is pink panther so gay?

A playwright AND a sodomite? Heavens to Betsy, who would have thought it!

Exit the closet, stage right!

You thought the guy was pink for fun?

...

No he has a stalker who wants to convert him with the power of the V

...

To me, it's just too...EASY. He's pink, sounds kinda 'sweet', so he MUST be gay, right? It's like when they turned Renee Montoya lesbian...because she's a tough chick....and tough chick=BUTCH=LESBO, right?

I thought stereotyping was supposed to be wrong. I guess it's one of those things that's wrong UNTIL IT ISN'T.

...so?

I'm sorry the pink cougar won't fuck your wife, user

youtube.com/shared?ci=xLfmcuokZWY

Cougar?

Heavens ta mergatroid!

Every Sup Forums poster should be rounded up and gassed.

Snagglepuss is officially a cougar, apparently

I thought he was a tiger but no

Then no one would be posting on Sup Forums we're all the same.

I miss times when gay meant funny, not progressive.

You mean before you were born?

I feel you. As I said in a an earlier thread, it would be like looking at a big lipped monkey eating watermelon, and saying that he's obviously black.

Underrated post

Not really. This type of gay stereotyping was as far as you could go in TV, without making it clear that someone was gay. It was largely because that level of fruity could still be viewed as someone being "a bit eccentric" and not "I love sucking dick" level out and openly gay. Everybody in the studio could know what was what, but you couldn't really talk about it openly due t censorship. Look at Paul Lynde. Gay as a gazelle, but played plenty of fruity and catty characters without ever making them blatantly gay, because that's all you were allowed to do.

le gasp!

favorite post of the year so far

>Not really. This type of gay stereotyping was as far as you could go in TV, without making it clear that someone was gay

Except Hanna & Barbera themselves said he wasn't gay.
Faggot.

I was more talking about him being a blatant stereotype, and people seeing that stereotype as a proof to his sexuality. Sure we all know that the monkey is meant to represent a black person, but it's still degrading to say that someone behaving a certain way, obviously equates them with being something else.

>Sure we all know that the monkey is meant to represent a black person,
> but we will pretend it isn't because ???

Imagine being so butthurt by an internet imageboard you write six sentences of ironic shitposting.

I just choked on my breakfast.

I was making that comparison in relation to the author wording of why he chose to make him gay.
Going "He was clearly meant to be gay, going by the stereotypes of the time." and going "He's obviously gay. Just look at him!" is two completely different things.
The author did the latter.

I believe he was doing the former

so I guess we're just at a standstill

>so I guess we're just at a standstill

Not him but you're the wrong one here.

underrated post

Nice butthurt, permavirgin.

I mean, ok

don't know what to tell you

And yet I bet losing your virgin inflicted a lot more butthurt.
Stay mad fag.

>he said, triggered about a fictional character being gay
Get a life, user. You need it.

>I bet losing your virgin

wat?

Ha ha! ..."Bi".

>he said, triggered about an user's posting

Imagine being so illiterate a typo completely dumbfounds you!

I can only presume that you mean that taking my virgin's virginity caused a lot of butthurt. And since she let me do anal, I guess it did

You're making jealous, user.

>Losing my virgin

But I need that to sacrifice to my volcano god!

>"It’s never discussed and it’s obviously ignored in the cartoons ’cuz they were made at a time when you couldn’t even acknowledge the existence of such a thing, but it’s still so obvious; so it’s natural to present it in a context where everybody knows, but it’s still closeted."
Why is it obvious? Because of his accent? Him being pink? Saying that the character was most likely supposed to be a certain type of person, based on stereotypes of certain types of people is not wrong, but saying that a character obviously is that type of person, because of those stereotypes, is. It's the same as saying that the stereotypes are true.

>I can only presume that you mean that taking
I said losing.
Your reading is so poor I bet you're a Marvel fan.
Also you were quick to point out you're a hetero. Homophobic much?

Awww.
Now suck his dick.

>Losing your virgin

found her. She get wedged in between the couch cushions, false alarm

>It's the same as saying that the stereotypes are true.

Except he was created during a time when those stereotypes were being widely spread and perpetuated, so it's not a huge leap to take.

>I bet you're a Marvel fan.
>Homophobic much?
Casual spotted.

user leave your cat alone.

during the 60's if you wanted to convey a character as being gay without bringing up actual homosexuality, yeah you'd go with the voice and mannerisms

it's kinda like Liberace, everyone knew he was gay but he was a good piano player and the tv audience and producers just didn't talk about it because it was taboo

I guess I'm not seeing the issue here?

>cries like a bitch because Snagglepuss is gay
>calls others homophobic

I can't! He's the subject of this thread!

>cries like a bitch
Appropriate, you cry like a fag.

How do you know he's a virgin?

>How do you know he's a virgin?
I mean there was a lot of blood afterward so I just assumed

>being a bitch is better than being a fag
You will be my bitch then. Now get on all fours, I'm going to sodomize you while you scream that you're not gay at all.

>>being a bitch is better than being a fag
woooow I didn't say anything like that.
You're REALLY homophobic user, is there anything you wanna tell us?

He also sued the shit out of everyone who dared to make any claims that he was gay. And won some if not most of those cases.

>implying I didn't send a letter a day to Hannah Barbera for years asking that Snagglepuss be revealed as gay
>implying I didn't send it from different zip codes to imply I was a bunch of different people that wanted this
>implying I did this so I can make my sick degenerate homosexual love for a pink cougar canon
>implying I'm not Russel

>I didn't say anything like that.
Too late to backpedal, BitchAnon.

Again, I'm not saying that he isn't gay. Based on the stereotypes if the time he most likely was meant to be so.
I may have interpreted the quote in the wrong way, but to me it seems more like "I know they couldn't say he was gay, but he obviously was. Just listen to the guy." instead of "Well, seeing how people stereotyped gay people back then, he most like was supposed to be gay." First one is enforcing the stereotypes, the second one just acknowledges that they existed.
Again I could have interpreted his words wrong, but that's how I hear that quote.

I mean I can see where you're coming from

we won't really know til the book releases, so who knows

>implying I did this so I can make my sick degenerate homosexual love for a pink cougar canon
>implying I'm not Russel

No no I believe you.

Stop opressing gay people. They have the right to be mentally ill as everyone else and you can't trample on their freedom like that!

Snagglepuss?

More like Snaggledick amiright?

>Stop opressing gay people.
But I'm not. I'm just anally giving you my love, BitchAnon.
>They have the right to be mentally ill as everyone else
Hence my loving you, doll.

If Snagglepuss is gay, then who's next?
Are Pixie and Dixie gay too??

Best post itt

>one wears a vest
>the other one wears a bow tie

what the fuck do you think, user?

Well, he doesn't cause pussies to be snaggled, that's for sure.

>But I'm not. I'm just anally giving you my love, BitchAnon.

Right.
Well, you keep saying whatever you're saying. Go you.

It's always the ones you least expect.

When I was a child, I thought all gay people were like Snagglepus. I thought he was literally the gayest thing ever. Like I didn't even really know what gay was, but I knew Snagglepuss was gay as fuck. Next you're gonna tell me Liberace was never gay.

We all know Snagglepuss is gay; he didn't exactly exude masculine charm, if you get my meaning.

Huckleberry Hound, on the other hand, was a closet gay who struggled to cope with his gayness.
youtube.com/watch?v=nyZs3EJgx8Q

This is fine, I just don't hope they turn it into a whole thing.

Meaning?

Current year shit.

I don't understand, why does every cartoon character have to have a distinct sexuality nowadays? Or hell, any character in any written media. Why does it matter at all? Does it REALLY add to their character that much? Is it really that important in today's society to have an outspoken sexuality, especially if it's not hetero?

To be fair, the only personality he ever had was people calling him gay

>Why does it matter at all?
Why does it matter to you that he isn't heterosexual?

Because people have sex in real life user. and people wan't to pretend to read adult stuff

Remenber how much sperg was dropped about the bee and the girl in Bee movie? "Huurr durr! How characters of a kids movie make sex?"

Because the SU fanbase and young faghags exist.

To be fair it's hard to make your character a pink panther these day and trying to convince people that he is not gay.

He might not have been associated with homosexuality when he was created but he certainly is now

because websites and/or news sites is making it look like it's a big deal.

He's going to basically be Tennessee Williams in this book, and being Gay was a big part of Williams life and work.

But it is a big deal. 4u
