>Marvel handles this scene
>I know you don't have any orange slices...

because the people who worked for WB animation aren't the same people who currently work for WB's feature film division.

What made this show so good
Of all animated capeshit only teen titans was of similar quality

Why don't they watch and do it then

Because it wasn’t a one man show it was heroes playing off of each other’s strengths and weaknesses for example batman isn’t afraid to ask for help or backup when he is out-superpowered.

youtube.com/watch?v=yYCQegECaaI

Because their vision of a asian Barry Allen who acts like Wally West is so much better

Bruce Timm at his prime with carte blanche to do pretty much whatever he wanted

Because they won't let Bruce Timm out of the animation closet.

They had a showrunner, writers, VAs, producers, artists, basically everybody involved at every level who A) was familiar with the source material, even the old stuff, and B) actually cared about what they were producing.

>the feels

>Do you have any idea how much power I'd have to give up to be president?!
So much better than the DCEU's lofty, faux-philosophical dialogue.

This story line was so great

at least Batman wouldn't be a murderous idiot in the MCU

So I let a 100 more people die instead.

Snyder was the worst thing to ever happen to DC, prove me wrong.

Because the writers can't understand the difference between serious and grimdark.

To be honest, though, Bruce Timm himself didn't do anything as good as Batman TAS/Batman Beyond in many years.

dc animated has always been kino. so kino that they can make shit like teen titans go and still be on top

The thing with Gotham is that if you had such a city with such mass murderers in the real world, it would only be a matter of time (and 2 or 3 years at that) before capital punishment was installed.
Some of the criminals Batman capture, SPECIALLY the Joker, would face death penalty in a short while and would be executed.

>teen titans
pfffffft

I haven't actually seen anything even remotely recent. BtAS, JL/JLU, and BB is it. I was a kid when BtAS came out so for me Kevin Conroy is definitively how Batman should be. Just like how Clancy Brown /is/ Lex Luthor.

Good lord I wish you were right so hard.

brave and the bold was refreshing. i miss it

It's your lucky day.

Skipping over the direct technical aspects that were all solid, it understood tone. They knew from their previous shows what a serious character is compared to an optimistic one; what a dark character is to a lighthearted one; et cetera. They knew that a character could be well written without being grim, symbolic, and philosophical because some of DC's characters aren't like that. I still think the ultimate proof of this show's maturity was the scene where the hopeful Flash stops cynical Batman from his vigilante justice because he knows the villain is just a schizophrenic who loves darts and forgets to take his medication.

why can’t you fuck off back to Sup Forums

made my day user

Teen Titans isn't even top 10 in animated capeshit you fucking pleb

Bruce Timm is a fucking God.

insanity defense

>the person who commits the murder isn't responsible
If you insist on not blaming the killer, then EVERYONE, not just Batman, is responsible for those deaths.

They have no death penalty in some comics, in others the joker bribes or blackmails the judges, and most the times the batman just delivers the joker to arkham so they don't kill him.

That's why Snyder killing Batman it's weird.

>tfw they canceled brave and the bold for a more "serious" batman

fucking nolan ruined everything

This guy for one. He also was writer for Static Shock and Crisis on Two Earths

I sure do miss good cartoon shows :/

Why can you always see bstmans actual eyes in the movies? It looks so fucking stupid compared to the white eyes in the cartoon. It's not like it helps him emote since you can't see his eyebrows. Deadpool did it pretty well actually

>:/
drain kevin’s cum out of your ass and fuck off faggot

...

This, tone matters so much. youtube.com/watch?v=MXph0arElKs they understood that the Justice League is a pantheon of the world's greatest heroes, not a fucking frat house.

brave and the bold was so fucking good

one of the times i've watched a show and know that it was made with genuine love for the source material

>cartoon gets this
>movie gets this
youtube.com/watch?v=ojyuFzWA0v4

>not using Hal Jordan

>muh rayciss

I have no problem with Manhunter and his black "human" persona.

So many good quotes from that show.

Okay, cop shoots him dead because he feared for his life. Nobody protests because not even liberals give a crap if the Joker dies. If he was real.

Gotham's cops are in his payroll, though.

When there's trouble you know who to caaaaall
feels the episode

excuse me? I'm likely to be more of a man than any of you here in this thread ayyylmao

In which version of the story? The kind where he's basically a gimmicky mobster? The kind where he's just a terrorist? The kind where he just does whatever he wants? It's like saying cops are on the payroll of a terrorist, or serial killer. Someone that is completely unpredictable, and completely dangerous.

What are you doing?

>tfw you're to intelligent for the other Batmen

>Of all animated capeshit only teen titans was of similar quality
Bull shit. B:TAS and some of Superman were fucking GOAT. Mask of the Phantasm is STILL the best batman movie.
The short answer is that Paul Dinni and Bruce Timm knew exactly what they wanted to do, studios and test audiences be damned.
I really think they need to give those two guys executive producer seats for the DCEU if they're really serious about making a coherent cinematic universe.

After the Killing Joke movie I'm not so sure I'd put full faith in Timm anymore.

I want to fuck that cartoon girl.

>fuck a girl on the verge of death
>while Batman is trying to comfort her in the final moments
ISHYGDDT

Jesus Christ that Barb sexplot...wtf

You better be prepared to list 10 more then (movies don't count separately)

every time I try to go back and watch some of these animated shows I get turned off by the boring extended fight scenes

She just blanks me nutting in her doomed cunt from his mind. I've got this all worked out.

>Luthor my distaste for you is brobdingnagian what I'm about to do isn't personal.
I love JLU Question

not him but in the gotham tv show the cops are literally under penguins payroll

John and Kyle were the GLs in the comics at the time so it never bothered me. Plus Hal got his props is Superman and an episode of JL

Based combs

youtube.com/watch?v=sI0vtqxoG1k
Based indeed

>The plastic tips at the end of shoelaces are called 'aglets'
>Their true purpose is sinister.

Lex was the best
youtube.com/watch?v=2Qy4EIvvVj4

Not him but
>JL/JLU
>The Tick
>Static Shock
>Brave and the Bold
>Batman Beyond
>Young Justice
>The Batman (was pretty good for what it was)
>X-men (90s)
>Spiderman(90s)
>The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes
In no particular order

That is all DCAU. All by pretty much the same people.

gone too soon

He's throwing a tantrum to prove how grown up he is.

>>The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes
This was great until halfway through season 2 when Jeph Loeb started writing episodes and sucked everything enjoyable from it.

they already did BvS, you dumb pretentious fuck

>putting his ego over all
batfags in a word

Bruh

Any yt of this episode?

It's a very brief segment of the episode.
youtube.com/watch?v=YOooJW5SSDA

You're thinking of Avengers Assemble. I don't consider it to be part of EMH for this exact reason.

>"where do you fight crime"
>"the library"

No, I'm definitely thinking of EMH. Their work on the show started with that awful episode with the Asgard Destroyer, and the Avengers lose their powers for an afternoon. Then the Yellowjacket and Red Hulk story lines were butchered a few episodes later.

What about Young Justice?

Hal was boring. John Stewart was interesting.

Did nobody watch Batman Beyond? We've known for fucking ever that they had a thing.

That doesn't answer his question.

>teen titans
>not Batman the Animated Series or Batman Beyond

You will always be an underaged fag

Not him, but I think YJ season 2 is excellent, and it shows how well the producers can give a lot of characters their needed moments of screen time on a shorter episode count (20 as opposed to 26).
Season one feels bloated for that exact reason: 26 episodes going back and forth between the same five or so characters while some nebulous organization pulls the strings and "everything goes to plan", as they always reveal in the last 30 seconds. Got boring quickly to me. Nevertheless, like anyone, I'm looking forward to the 3rd season, whatever it brings.

That was Man of Action not Jeph Loeb.

It's like akira. Nice episode

My mistake, I thought Loeb was a part of that group. Either way Man of Action's involvement came when Loeb was promoted to a producer position and started getting his hands over whatever S2 episodes were in development.

1. That's not a movie
2. You're right, it's totally kickass.

>top notch Animated series (JL/JLU, Batman series)
>shit movies

What went wrong Sup Forums?

>shit movies
>Nolan trilogy

Pick one

Shit that's why MoA is doing Avenger's Assemble. Hopefully that Deadpool series will be good because I need a decent Marvel show.

A shit series. If I wanted a snarky Bats I'd watch the Schoemacher films.
Babs shouldnt have a damn romantic/sexual history with Bats, period. It wasnt even in the fucking source for this shitty animated adaptation.
Inque also a shit and you have shit taste.

its poetry if you think about it. The perfect metaphor for Bruces true identity revealed through his actions in the mask.

Nolan literally ruins DCU the same way Iron man and Guardian of the Galaxy 1 ruined MCUl. They were good on their own but desperation to replicate their success ruin other movies that end up just mismatching formula that don't work together

This
you can blame the police officers who escort the Joker around when he is in custody instead of shooting him.

a big BIG budget tv show could

HBO or Netflix or Amazon, Hulu...

Batman is essentially subduing criminals in a citizen's arrest and providing evidence of the crimes of the villains arrest where warranted.
He is blameless. What the OP of this chain is arguing is the same as arguing 'guns kill people, people dont'. This is absurd, as anyone with sense knows people kill people, guns are a tool.
There are two parties to blame for Joker's murders: Joker himself and the broken justice system in place in DC's Earth. 'But Bats just drops Joker off at Arkham!' Yes because thats where he usually breaks out of. Its on Arkham to keep him there and if they cant treat him, send him off to prison for the death penalty for his crimes.

I just could not take Young Justice as seriously as it took itself. None of the characters felt like they had any actual childhood innocence to shed. They fought adult supervillains who didn't feel like they presented any moral or ethical challenges that forced them to grow up and cast away childhood. Instead it was dead serious cloak & dagger intrigue with kids. Silly.

Justice League Action any good? Its got Conroy and Hamil.
