Some classic Universal chillers like Dracula and Frankenstein have a cool spooky atmosphere

Adams Family is great you can tell they were having laugh during filming. Actor playing Gomez just chewing the set

Night of the Hunter

Adams family communicates a creepy feeling many hard horror movies cannot

I used to love them as a kid (now too) but they always give me this uneasy unsettling feeling

The first two Evil Dead movies

Curse of the Demon

Lady in White

The Innocents

Carnival of Souls

...

The Woman in Black

...

...

The Others

I'm watching Halloween III, the Evil Dead remake, Exorcist III and The Thing.

An American Haunting

...

An American Werewolf in London

Re-Animator

The Guest
Beetlejuice

brom beyond

also halloween 3

stay snug gentlebones

Nightbreed doesn't get enough love.

Return of the Living Dead

Are there any good spooky animated shorts like Swing You Sinners and Bimbo's Initiation?

Why does the Tarman look so good?

Fright Night (1985)

Not bad

Night Of The Demons is a classic

Best I can think of:

Which is OBJECTIVELY the BEST Halloween movie of all time?

I'd have to say pic related

Missing In Action

Think about it.

The Conjuring is honestly one of the best recent ghost movies. I also love Patrick Wilson, no homo

Anybody know where I can get Dog Soldiers in good quality? Only ever found it in like 240p

The atmosphere in this movie is incredible

The Amityville Horror

Halloweentown is all you need all these faggots cant into kino

Cast a Deadly Spell
Dagon

Check the new uncut restored version, it fills all the plotholes and shows a different ending

Funfact:
The tarman is naked, because he was a corpse stored in a mortuary, and all the stips hanging from his body are shreds of his skin, he ripped it when he came out of the barrel

Weirdfact:
The zombies from the first level of Altered Beast looks very similar to the tarman, and remember that in Japan RotLD was a huge success

What We Do In The Shadows

>Check the new uncut restored version, it fills all the plotholes and shows a different ending
I will, thanks didn't know about it.

Braindead also known as Dead Alive

Old school is best school.

Cronos

The Frighteners is prime comfy halloween kino

The Exorcist

...

...

Fright night is ABSOLUTE KINO

Who here "Hocus Pocus"?

Might as well name a few.

The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari. A silent film and the first horror film. Overall not a fan but entertaining in a meta sense because it is historically important. It has interesting set design.

Patlabor 3

Vampyr is a talkie. State of the art special effects for the time. A few of which I am still impressed by, like this one scene where a guys shadow doesn't move with him. And the ending death of the bad guy is also memorable.

Häxan: Witchcraft Through The Ages. Weird witch movie made by I think zealous Christians in Denmakr (I think), the imagery is still spooky.

Comfy movie

Let the Right One In

The Descent

Evil Dead 2

The Host is another lighthearted horror kino.

I couldn't even finish it. Why people say it's good?

I love this movie but I don't think it's really one for Halloween time.

One of the few movies to make me queasy.

It is a comedy horror not meant to be taken too seriously. I think it is good because it is a fun movie. It is not atmospheric or scary, at least not for me; maybe that is why you didn't like it?

haha benis :D

Possibly. Maybe I'll try to rewatch it from that perspective.

FUCK YES

>It's true, the boogeyman is real, and you just found him

Robert Mitchum"s character is more menacing to me than most horror monsters, that he is hunting children heightens the effect. And the way the movie is shot is so good and creepy. I think Night of The Hunter is horror kino.

halloween kino

I didn't expect this one to be so good.

The Blob

I'm catching up on some "recent" horror films and watching Sinister, does it get good/spooky or does it stay this shit throughout?

Pumpkinhead

Sinister is absolutely fucking terrible

Ravenous

Majority of modern horrors are absolutely atrocious. Don't even bother.

Sinister is pure trash

Hocus Pocus 2 when?

...

Well it was until pleddit related it to the word "kino"

This is why I'll never give Sup Forums my list of top 10 cult classic horror films. I never want to see an image of the film next to the cancerous word kino.

Cheers lads, giving a watch

I wish they made more after this one.

Movie: Chucky + evil dead or house of 1000 corpses
>tv show: cartoon Halloween episodes (if I find time for this)
Room: no lights
>white noise: howling wind
>music: moonlight sonata
>story: the house of usher
>food: spice meatballs in tomato sauce and rice

Could you stop posting that shit?

First one is not shit.

never liked horror movies, too spooky. one day decided just to watch some Halloween 1-3, going to rewatch those for the first time today. I know everybody has already seen those
the most horrific movie I can recommend is Texas Chainsaw Massacre, will never watch again
