Illya Owens - Disney Mickey Mouse - Episode: Sock Burglar - Disney Television Animation

Get used to that whistle, it's never going to stop.

>cheering stops at bob's burgers

kek

Every god damn time

I'm just going to sit here and wait patiently for Kubo to win some much-deserved awards.

Disney can win the lion's share as usual, but Wander Over Yonder better be involved.

>Outstanding Achievement, Editorial in an Animated Feature Production
Christopher Murrie - Kubo and the Two Strings - LAIKA (!!!)

...

Was not expecting that, actually

Hey, Life, Animated got mentioned!

>Special Achievement Award
Life, Animated

One down for LAIKA. Better be several more to go.

Oh lord, Gilbert Gottfried. But he's setting up Life, Animated, so it's okay.

does it have a bad end

This kid has more of a romantic history than I do ;_;

The saddest thing aside from the sudden onset of his autism is him breaking up with his girlfriend.

Does this count as a Disney win?

does it ever get to "cringe"

His girlfriend breaking up with him, rather.

>June Foray Award
Bill & Sue Kroyer
for their significant and benevolent or charitable impact on the art and industry of animation

>Let's hear it for Tron!

I made a face when he said that. Still bitter over Tron (and Motorcity).

>Let's hear it for my spinal surgeon!

Jerry Beck!

>There's no travel ban here

oooooh.gif

>saved the thief and the cobler

nice

Huh

That's pretty cool

>The voice of Bea in Fish Hooks

>Student films
>No Calarts

>Best Student Film
Citipati - Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg

i havent seen this but the clip looks beautiful

i hate these hosts.they are so unfunny jesus christ

Raxip!

>Best Animated Short Subject
Piper - Pixar Animation Studios

>The Pixies

this is probably the healthiest board ive seen in Sup Forums

I'm not mad. That's a really, REALLY adorable short.

>envelope malfunction
Are we avoiding a Steve Harvey moment here, or is this for kicks?

>Outstanding Achievement, Animated Effects in an Animated Production
Marlon West, Erin V. Ramos, Blair Pierpont, Ian J. Coony and John M. Kosnik - Moana - Walt Disney Animation Studios

I like how the main Moana songs they play are You're Welcome and Shiny

didn't kubo get an oscar nomination for sfx?

>The short involves a hungry baby sandpiper learning to overcome her fear of water

jesus christ this sounds to cute to handle

Visual Effects

>Outstanding Achievement, Animated Effects in a Live Action Production
Georg Kaltenbrunner, Michael Marcuzzi, Thomas Bevan, Andrew Graham and Jihyun Yoon - Doctor Strange - Mirror Dimension - Marvel Studios

You have no idea. Brace yourself, user.

youtube.com/watch?v=A-uzJB9Bc9U

>Outstanding Achievement, Music in an Animated TV/Broadcast Production
Scot Stafford, Alexis Harte and JJ Wiesler - Pearl - Google Spotlight Stories/Evil Eye Pictures

>not Bob's Burger's

Ugh, VR. I refuse to care.

this is 10X better then finding dory JESUS CHRIST ITS TO CUTE I haven't had feels like this since rewatching CCS

Why didn't SU get any nominations? it had some pretty wicked songs.

>sing was nominated

>Outstanding Achievement, Directing in an Animated Feature Production
Hans Zimmer (BWOOM), Richard Harvey and Camille - The Little Prince - Netflix and On Animation Studios

the annies have never given anything to steven universe.
i guess CN doesnt pay them enough

it's sort of weird knowing that all of these famous people are like a ten minute's walk away

Steven Universe sucks, but it's the easiest to follow, most serious show on Cartoon Network so Sup Forums likes it.

GO HOME FAGGOT

it was music,not directing
"i dont like show, therefore it sucks"

It's only gotten like a few nominations. I remember Jail Break was up for the main TV award last year.

CURRENT STATS:
DISNEY: 5 (1 for Zootopia, Moana, Dr. Strange, Piper and Mickey Mouse each)
LAIKA: 1 (Kubo)
DREAMWORKS: 1 (Trollhunters)
PEARL: 1
LITTLE PRINCE: 1

Adventure Time is there.
I don't care if you ain't a fan, but you can't deny the songs are fucking great.

whoops, my bad.first time doing something like this.

>Outstanding Achievement, Character Design in an Animated TV/Broadcast Production
Victor Maldonado, Alfredo Torres and Jules Rigolle - DreamWorks Trollhunters - Episode: Win, Lose or Draal - DreamWorks Animation Television

add another one for Dreamworks

I know, right? It alone was worth the theatre ticket I may have a headcanon of Piper taking Hermit Crab on a flight when they're big enough to do so, save me from the diabetes

I think the company itself sends in series/episodes for consideration for awards. It's possible CN didn't even send SU in as a possibility.

Troll hunters was alright

Not boring but not that amazing either

for what ep is AT nominated?

LOFTISSSSS

>Outstanding Achievement, Character Design in an Animated Feature Production
Cory Loftis - Zootopia - Walt Disney Animation Studios

Hell was the cheering for Trolls so loud for?

"Bad Jubies" for Direction, Production Design, and Production for Children

Is Loftis /ourguy/?

that episode was awful.they ONLY nominated it for the stop motion, which was ok at best.
clearly only the networks chose the episodes, and i guess CN doesnt see SU as award material for whatever reason.

/trash/ can attest to the fact that Zootopia had great character design

It's all they talk about!

>they do it for free

Most of the audience is people from the industry. Dreamworks has 2 platinum sponsors so they have 60+ (30 x 2 VIP tickets) staff in the audience plus any regular admission tickets.

I actually just watched Zootopia today. It's a great film.

Kubo is a tad bit better tho

Rocking the purple velvet suit, I approve.

Yeah, pretty much. I saw Nick submitted Trans Dimensional Turtles for TMNT this year, no wonder the show didn't get more nominations. This season may have been bad, but there's definitely better than that!

Getting sick of how these companies deal with their breadwinners, desu.

>Ub Iwerks Award
Google Spotlight’s Virtual Reality Platform
for technical advancement in the art of animation

Another one for Pearl, basically

UPDATE STATS:
DISNEY: 6 (2 for Zootopia, 1 for Pearl, Moana, Dr. Strange, and Mickey Mouse each
DREAMWORKS: 2 (Trollhunters)
KUBO: 1
PEARL: 2 (including Ub Iwerks)
LITTLE PRINCE: 1

My phone is in my hand half the day, but hell if I'm going to strap it to my head for even a second.

>Make VR great again

He has a point.

SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU NEETS

IT'S KOBE TIME

NBA SUPERSTAR KOBE

Why is he even there anyway

Might as well give Kobe a mic headset, he's gonna get a hump leaning down for those mics on the podium!
