Poltergeist 1982

Sorry Fury Road, but I prefer the original.

Halloween 2 directed by Rob Zombie

Sup Forums the movie

Didn't the movie come out that way because the first director (or co-director maybe) died? It was a hard time for Miller or whatever that guy's name was.

I read somewhere that King would snort an 8-ball of coke in one sitting and just bang out dozens of pages with blood running down his shirt

Ive seen the Mad Max 1 and 2 yet ive never seen the 3rd one. How bad is it? What exactly is wrong with it?

The first half is kino. The second half ruins it almost completely.

Still overall a 6/10.

...

is it more common that movie has good first half but second one sucks or vice versa?

This user has it right. It's at least a 9/10 right up until Max designed to spare Blaster.

In part is that the movie originated as a separate script, a post-apocalyptic Lord of the Flies type story about a society of kids surviving out there in the wasteland. The idea of writing Mad Max into it came later, and essentially needed a whole new first act. Secondly, it had Hollywood money invested in it, which meant it had to do some compromises. One of them was casting Tina Turner in a major role and having her make a title song to help sell the movie.

Then Byron Kennedy, producer and co-creator of the Mad Max movies (and one of based George Miller's best friends) died in a helicopter accident while scouting locations for Thunderdome. So while Mille went and did the movie his game wasnt up to snuff for those personal circumstances.

All and all, it's NOT a terrible movie by any means, but it really comes short of what Mad Max and Road Warrior had achieved

This.
It's like two separate movies and one's junior varsity, but it's got it's moments.

mainly since Miller's best friend died midway through production and he ended up rushing it

more coke was snorted on the set of caddyshack than any other movie in history

Yeah. He was a major alcoholic and heavy cocaine user. There are many sources verifying this. King even stated that his addiction/recovery was addressed in some of his written characters.

Dude lol what drugs were these guys on lol

>movies that sold out hard

DO NOT, MY FRIENDS, BECOME ADDICTED TO WATER

It’s good other than Tina Turner and a weird third act

Half of this low budget movie is people shooting up heroin, even though none of that is in the screenplay and it was intended to be a high budget film: the actors, crew, director, everyone involved spent all their money on heroin and used the little money they had a left to make the film, and they liked using heroin so much that they decided to just do it in the middle of the takes.

He didn't remember writing Cujo because he was coked out the whole time. It's his own personal Station to Station.
