Is there any better horror sequel? The only flaw is the ending

>chatterer inexplicably looks way worse
>quality of effects way worse
>not backed by source material, plot is all over the place
>scenes so goofy they got cut from this shlockfest
>hey, now we're humans again
>no resolution whatsoever
This was trash and so is every other Hellraiser sequel. They are insulting to the original.

YAGGG?

the actor demanded it and its understandable that the face can change because thats' whay cenobites do
the effects are in no way worse
it expanded the lore with leviathan
what didn't you get from the plot what do you mean all over the place?
what goofy scenes?
they gained their humanity after being killed, it was simbolic
what resolution can there be, that dimension is eternal
how dare you compare this sequels with the rest?

Hellraiser V was alright

And I'd consider Hellraiser VIII a "So bad it's good" film.

Hellraiser 3 is the best and a true plebfilter

>okay i'm gonna turn you into a cenobite, jack you up and attach this umbilicus worm thing to your head. it'll be dope promise
>uh, is that really a good idea? how am i gonna get around in buildings and stuff if i have this thing trailing around behind me?
>look i know what i'm doing these snake like tentacles will spread all through your body and you'll be able to do cool shit like sprout flowers and knives out of your hands
>what if i get stuck?
>that's never gonna happen shut up

no, it turns the cenobites into serial killers

it breaks the lore

>Is there any better horror sequel?
Several.
>Halloween II
>Child's Play II
>Conjuring 2
>A Nightmare on Elm Street III
>Evil Dead 2
>Friday the 13th IV
>Bride of Frankenstein
>Creepshow 2

creep show 2 is caca poopoo

Only flaw? What about the first half hour where nothing happens and they recap everything that occurred in the first movie.

Miles better than Hellraiser II.

I like Inferno the most. But haven't seen anything else besides 1 and 2.

I watched the first Hellraiser last night, where can I get one of these?

>What about the first half hour where nothing happens and they recap everything that occurred in the first movie.
You mean the five minutes?

at the waifu store

i can't decide i ilike her better young and still full of puppy fat or later on when she was in fit milf mode

half hour
please

That thing was a penis.

>>Halloween II
just a continuation, could be the same movie
even more slow than the first, realy boring
>>Child's Play II
only the factory segment is good
>>Conjuring 2
no idea
>>A Nightmare on Elm Street III
yeah that's great
>>Evil Dead 2
ridiculous
>>Friday the 13th IV
boring like all frydays
>>Bride of Frankenstein
>>Creepshow 2
don't know

What else were you supposed to do with the lore? III was goofy as hell and IV was literally Hellraiser in Space

Most of them really are fucking awful, IMO you've already watched the only good films in the franchise.

hellraiser in space makes sense
the purgatory story does not

Either one, either one's fine.

>ahahaha ahahaha ahahahahaha
>aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

>Hellraiser 5 was alright

I guess it's true, all namefags have shit taste

Hey user. On the course of creating “Dark Universe” by Universal, they are going to remake “Bride Of Frankenstein” right ? In my understanding, Dr. Pretorious wanting to make a female partner for his beloved his own creation. It works because there is the existence of the original film to start with. How do you user think they are going to put two story into one single story ? I think it’s very dangerous to assume every single movie goer know how the things started Y’know ?

Ehhh Da Fuq !!!

such a fucking fucking fucking brilliant scene

this should've been the cover

such a simple and effective line. had me pondering

But please, feel free, explore. We have eternity to know your flesh

Also cheesy but funny how all his quotes were medicine related

>The doctor is in
>I recomend amputation
>Time for your medication
>You'll be my next patient

genius

...

Personally I rolled my eyes every time it happened, mainly because he seemed so uptight as a physician, but suddenly he turned into a quirky-evil-medicine-clown-thing.

I always liked it but recently I've come to almost hate Hellraiser 2.

>different actors for some cenobites
>cenobite makeup looks worse
>The cenobites in general are made to look pretty weak and unintimidating this time
>they get murdered without any resistance in THEIR OWN REALM
>humanized pinhead
>doctor is a shit character
>his doctor puns when he becomes a cenobite are completely retarded
>speaking of retarded, the girl who solves the cube in this film acts like she has downs the entire film
>lament configuration can also turn into a diamond shaped shard(???)
>doctor somehow travels between the realm of hell and reality at a whim killing anyone he comes across regardless if they opened the box or not
>Frank and Julia completely wasted
>Kristy cotton looks like she got a little bit fat

So much going wrong here. I still like the series for what it is, but don't look too closely at these films. They ride a fine line between being entertaining and complete and total garbage

he looks like he's very uncomfortable, in deep throbbing pain and state of orgasmic agitation at the same time

>doctor is a shit character
omggggggggg. it's the most genius character. you have no sense of poetry.

>Only flaw

The first is set in England. The sequel is inexplicably set in America despite picking up from exactly where the first ended.

He was good before he turned into a cenobite.

come, child, i want to take a closer look at you

These absolutely killed the atmosphere

...

and you wouldn't? he was a turned into a monster that could forever do what he wanted

the 3rd is in america
how is the second in america?

I had to dew it

>>different actors for some cenobites
just the girl
>>cenobite makeup looks worse
chatterhead actor couldn't see with the other
>>The cenobites in general are made to look pretty weak and unintimidating this time
>>they get murdered without any resistance in THEIR OWN REALM
channard was a cenobite too
>>humanized pinhead
>>doctor is a shit character
>>his doctor puns when he becomes a cenobite are completely retarded
>>speaking of retarded, the girl who solves the cube in this film acts like she has downs the entire film
>>lament configuration can also turn into a diamond shaped shard(???)
yeah that's weird
>>doctor somehow travels between the realm of hell and reality at a whim killing anyone he comes across regardless if they opened the box or not
all those patients opened the box I think
>>Frank and Julia completely wasted
they should've been cenobites too, you are right
>>Kristy cotton looks like she got a little bit fat

All this nitpicking and you skip over the real flaw of Kristy managing to wear Julia's skin seemlessly.

1 & 2 are good, 3 is passable, hellraiser in space is OK at best, Inferno was an interesting 'day in the life' movie for a victim of the box, and hellseeker was alright coz of the return of hot milfy kirsty.

Everything else trash. Hellworld and Revelations stand out as exceptionally fucking awful.

that's what I mean by flaw in ending
Julia should've been kept alive for the sequel as pinhead was dead

>he actually likes the doctor memes

Maniac Cop 2

Fuck the whiners Channard was awesome and hilarious

Is it Morpheus®© from The Matrix™?

It has one of the most interesting depictions of hell

that alone makes it a very special movie

>a 5 second shot is enough to redeem the whole terrible film

it is not terrible though

Every new installment feels like it's written by a new director. Despite having a really interesting unique and jaw dropping character that steals the stage the director ignores him. He doesn't understand the appeal and throws his oc in the mix, or changes the attitude or personality of specific characters with fucking NOTHING explaining how or why. How many times has pinhead's personal philosophy changed to fit the one off story's plot and message?

Rules change, nothing is consistent. This series is a clusterfuck and despite the fact that clusterfucks and confusion and mindbending reality is meant to be a gimmick of this series they do it in the negative way, where the audience is confused and lost in the story only paying attention to the quotes and special effects.

It's the cinobites aesthetics and torture porn that attracts these really awful fans who ignore criticism and plot holes to force themselves to watch up a mediocre horror story.

>Hellraiser Bloodlines
>story goes back in time to show creation of the puzzle box
>the creator also designed an introverted puzzle box meant to banish cenobites forever
>"hey this might be cool"
>they find the blueprints and its literally a square with squiggled lines in the middle
>fast forward to 400 years in the future
>main character somehow uses this squiggle blueprint to build a massive puzzle cube contraption in space
>lure pinhead into the giant space cube with hologram
>cube explodes (???) sending pinhead back to hell forever (???)

I don't think I've ever laughed so hard or been so thoroughly entertained by such obvious schlock trash in my life. That whole chain of events was glorious. Highly recommend Hellraiser Bloodlines

The problem isn't that each film changed the rules. Every Friday the 13th film changes rules in some way. That's a part of what makes it fun and silly because of lack of ideas to keep the series fresh.

The problem is that the rules were never fully established in the Hellraiser series so each new change brought a whole new layer of confusion

>how does blood bring people back from the cenobites realm
>how did the cenobites not know somebody escaped them
>does blood just restore a body to a certain point but doesn't restore the original skin?
>where does the box go after Frank dies
>how do people use the box to banish the cenobites
>how do the cenobites have power in our realm at all
>what is the demon skeleton dragon at the end

Nothing about the movie made sense the more you thought about it. Original film was merely supposed to be a special effects creepshow with a glimpse into this world Clive barker visualized. I don't even think he knew all the rules at that point

Demons 2

meh, there was some stupid shit in the first one. Frank wearing dude's skin, terrible effects at the end, no real ending there either oh she just happened to randomly move the box in the right way, wow. What makes both movies good is the music, performances, and horrific sights and cold detached feel. They both have that.
