How much longer can the MCU sustain itself after it reaches peak level with Infinity War/Avengers 4. They cant just rely on Spidey, Ant-Man, Panther and Captain Marvel.

>(9 KB, 300x168)

They will keep making these movies until the opportunity costs of making other movies instead becomes higher, not even necessarily when they stop making money.

>They cant just rely on Spidey, Ant-Man, Panther and Captain Marvel.
Yes they can. MCU spidey's first movie was the highest grossing Capeshit flick this year

I can see this shit lasting another 10 years easily, they will shit out spiderman movies like candy for starters.

>highest grossing Capeshit flick this year
Uuuuh sweetie...

they'll reboot it somewhere down the line.

Thor Ragnarok looks like it’ll underperform so not much longer

They're probably going to emd up getting the fantastic four rights back.

>Uuuuh sweetie...

Uhh, what? It did better than WW did in both the states and China.

>It did better than WW did in both the states and China.
are you retarded nigger?

why doesnt she look like this is in the movies?

Honestly

I think Infinity War will be the last movie. And that, the MCU will end. They;ll squeeze out one more movie, then shit out another, but audience fatigue will finally get the better of us. Plus the actors are getting old.

As it is, I can only see Ant-Man, Strange, Spidey, and Thor getting new movies. Yes, Thor: because only Hemsworth seems interested in continuing the role and he pretty much eased himself into it. And perhaps even loves it. But thats all assuming people will still care. After nearly a decade of movie continuity, I doubt they will

The MCU will wind down after infinity war pt 2 and they deal with Thanos. They've been building up to it for literally a decade and like 15 movies. It's the natural ending point for the 'franchise.'

They talk a big game about 20 years worth of future material but the truth is it just doesn't exist. They've already skimmed the top of 50 years worth of filmable stories, the longer the cinematic universe goes on the more you have to start pulling out more obscure characters with more obscure stories which makes it hard to keep the universe connected and exciting for the team up movies.

There may be a few more after infinity war that were already in production when that comes out but they'll quickly realise that starting work on new ones gives diminishing returns.

Expect a reboot of the shared universe concept in 20-30 years however.

WW did better in the US than spider-man. Spider-man did better over all.

Wondie is the secong biggest movie in the US so far, it had to compete with Transformers and Despicable Meme so it didn't do as good overseas but overall it was more successful

I doubt it'll end, but I'm hoping the focus will be on smaller, solo stories. I liked Ant-Man and Homecoming for that in itself.

It would be great if they shook up the formula with, say, a Vision & Scarlet Witch movie, but I suspect they will continue the formula of generic mcguffin and baddie and quips.

How can anyone tell themselves its success in the US wasn't political. Yeah, it's a fine hero flick with two charming leads. It's also paint-by-numbers superhero plot, with shitty supporting characters and an awful third act.

It deserved a 70 something RT score and around $250M in the states. Everything beyond that was political, and it's not even arguable.

Vision & Scarlett which movie. Make it a romeo and Juliet story. Get Patty Jenkins to do it. She wanted to do it for Thor 2 but marvel wanted it to be game of thrones in space.

you do realise sony makes all the profit from the spider-man films morons? its a shared deal marvel just gets to put spider-man in their avengers movies. Fuck you are stupid god i hate you

Vision is a boring fuck. Scarlet Witch solo

If so...

Genre: Emotion focused drama with heavy supernatural horror

Director: Jennifer Kent
Helen Mirren as Agatha Harkness
Al Pacino as voice of Chthon

Forever. Bond movies are still being made after 50 years despite waxing and waning popularity and relevancy of the character. The MCU has the additional benefit of appealing to children as well.

>They cant just rely on Spidey, Ant-Man, Panther and Captain Marvel.
Then it's a good thing they have the other dozen characters that they've introduced and legions more that they haven't.

>the MCU eventually gets a Casino Royale-esque reboot
mite b cool

I cant even tell if ant man is in that picture

And Dr. Strange, Cpt. Marvel, and few more for sure.

The MCU is on track to surpass the number of Bond despite being around for less than a decade. Fatigue is a real thing.
